@@Bornwild I can easily do Save The Children and What's Happening Brother by Marvin Gaye but I will need someone to help me with the guitar parts
-
@Mr. Miyagi this one will be a bit more difficult...this isn't their most popular song I think so it might be tricky to find proper tabs. Anyway I'll let you know if I find anything.

@@Tysylio thank you very much for the detailed feedback, this is really helpful.
Yes I agree that the volume of the bass AND the volume of the song itself could/should be higher, I'll try to fix that. Do you know how this can be done by any chance?
I'll remove the unnecessary notes at the end too.
Can you tell me if the DD is working correctly? I'm not sure about this.
As for the lyrics, yes they are here.
Again, thanks for your time, this will only help me to provide better CDLCs in the future.

@@LeJeuneJ yeah ok let's start with this one. Let me see if I can find a proper bass tab out there to start with. You do the guitar part?

Still D.R.E. by Dr.Dre (obviously) which I just tried tonight and I'm going to delete it because it's so boring to play...the whole track only has 3 notes on a continous loop...it's like Tequila Sunrise by Cypress Hill. Oh no wait, this one has 4 notes.

Kasnitch, those are beautiful ESP's. I used to own an early 90's ESP M-2 Custom in Lemon yellow, best guitar I have put my hands on to date; I expect the newer ESP's are only an improvement. bought it used for 300 in '05, traded it for an 87' Ricky 4001. Still a massive regret letting it get away, Rick's come up for sale often but that guitar was something special!
that said, Here's what i'm currently playing (Bass porn heavy!):
What I do most of my recording on,
MIJ Fender Aerodyne Precision Classic, P/J tone, Super thin/light P body, Jazz neck profile, one of my favorite workhorses!

my Eb bass, Squier Vintage Modified Jazz Bass:

And the two that don't see the outside world very often, I think both were around 400 models made:
The Boat Anchor! Gibson Silverburst Explorer Bass:
I picked this up because it is identical to Skwisgaar skwigelf's 6-string "Thunderhose" explorer, in bass form. :)

http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k435/Altamont613/Explorer2_zpsa613aea3.jpg
Hipshotted Gibson SG Supreme Fireburst Bass (07' Guitar of the Week promo):
The newest addition, went looking for something that would make it easier to move around, came up with this one.

I love them all but I've really taken to the short scale SG lately, The finish really comes to life in low light situations and it feels like I work less to do more. :)
I'll have the Squier VM Jazz Bass, thanks (although the P-Bass does look fantastic)

Hi everyone,
OK so this is my first CDLC ever, and (hopefully) the first in a series of Motown Classics (see my other thread about that here : http://customsforge.com/topic/9534-motown-classics/)
Right now I would really appreciate your feedback about it : is the sync ok? Does DD work correctly? Do you feel the tone could be better? (If you do, then please let me know where I can find a tutorial about it, like I said this is the first song I've charted so there are plenty of things I'm not familiar with yet).
Enough talking, here are the links :
For PC users : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6m_wq3Xxyzrd1FQYjhISG1QZWs/edit?usp=sharing
For Xbox users : https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6m_wq3XxyzrVjV3akxybVdKeWs/edit?usp=sharing
(I still have to figure out how to create files for Mac and PS3 users)
Oh and one last thing : I must give huge thanks to @@Chlipouni for his excellent tutorial and careful assistance. I could never have done this without him! His website is http://guitargames.wordpress.com/ and it's a true goldmine!!
Thanks !!!

Hello,
Is this still the place to post any WIP for testing? Cause it seems nobody has posted anything here for a loooooooooong time...
Thank you

Thanks @@cstewart ! I'll send you a PM with the link to the guitar tabs I found.
My other ideas are :
Ain't No Mountain High Enough - Marvin Gaye & Tammy Terrell
Baby Love - The Supremes
My Girl - The Temptations
Reach Out I'll Be There - The Four Tops
Stop! In The Name of Love - The Supremes
Where Did Our Love Go - The Supremes
You Keep Me Hangin' On - The Supremes
Of course there are many more Motown classics so I leave it up to you guys to give more ideas...

Hi everyone,
I'm working on my first CDLC ever (You Can't Hurry Love by The Supremes) and I'm thinking about many more Motown old school classics for future posts. The thing is, I'm a bassist so I started with a bass tab only. And when I started trying to add a rhythm guitar track I had a really hard time and simply gave up.
So I wanna know if any guitar player is willing to help me with this project of Motown Classics? Maybe a pack of 4-5 songs to start with.
Cheers
Fred

@@Bornwild well it would help me a lot if you could find Guitar Pro tabs for the songs you wish me to do and more important test these tabs, play them and see if they sound right.
Rhythm tracks will be just fine, since Motown songs usually don't have crazy Van Halen-like solos anyway ;)
Thanks!
