First full album on score attack.

@Wi11 You need to use the "override to max" setting
Ahhhh, that is great to know. Thanks!
I downloaded the song manager, EOF, and the RS toolkit. Time to do some tinkering.

That looks better.

@@Wi11 - you really need to turn dynamic diffulty off in the in game settings (for your profile once, not in RR for each song)! DD is just nonsense, for you and the CS with no discussion, for everyone in my opinion.
And you really should repair your newly downloaded songs - it´s one click only and you get a tidy library with working songs, stats and playcount.
Dynamic difficulty is turned off in the game settings. I have always thought DD to be a waste of time. It makes more sense to play the full song at slower speeds than to play a percentage of the actual notes.
I assumed that even when DD was turned off that you had to level up the song in RR when playing it for the first time. Is there a way around this in Learn a Song?
I'm attempting to download the CF Song manager but I'm running into some roadblocks. This probably isn't the correct thread to ask a bunch of question though.

Disable dynamic difficulty in the game options. I also had the problem sometimes that DD lowered level during playing. There is a big difference in your screen between accuracy and the final result which suggests you didn't play 100% difficulty.
Dynamic difficulty was turned off. When I changed the difficulty in RR it only let me go so far in the song. It wouldn't let me access the area in the red circle.
After that point, I had to let the song play through each individual section and change the difficulty from there. I couldn't just raise the difficulty, I had to drop it down to zero and then bring it back up to 100 otherwise it didn't work. Plus, if I moved the top marker to the left at all I had to wait for the song to play through again to get back to the later sections. Really strange...
It should be good now so I'll give it another go, but if something weird happens again I'm gonna have to tap out on this one.

I was hesitant to try a whole album because I wasn't sure if I was going to spend close to an hour stumbling over obscure chords. That was not that case. It was pretty fun! First time listening to Sabaton as well.
The bass was also fun, but half way through the second to last song the difficulty dropped off. I know I put the entire song at 100% when I started but the sections were not visible. I tried to change it in Riff Repeater right after it happened (while still in the song) so I didn't have to start over but it wouldn't let me change that section. I don't know if this still counts, or if I have to edit it in one of the programs, or just try it on Score Attack.

I'm wondering why I have tall orange bars and no song count instead of purple bars, assuming we all downloaded the same song file. I only saw one file and not one with DD. Difficulty is maxed out. I see a few screenshots that have short orange also. As long as it counts it doesn't bother me, just curious.
Download CustomsForge Song Manager from the Tools tab on CustomsForge - http://cfmanager.com/
Recommended repairs:
• 100% Mastery Fix
• Add Dynamic Difficulty (it can be beneficial to select "Overwrite Existing DD" as it's likely the track is old and the DD implementation has been improved over the years)
• Prevent Multitone Exceptions
• Adjust Scroll Speed (leave it at 1.3 for ODLC note density)

Gotcha. I need to dive in and get familiar with the song charting programs. Thanks!

The beginning part sort of reminds me of a level in Super Mario World.
Fun song. Random flailing in some areas will have to do for now.
Didn't put the time in for this one. I'll throw my name in the hat anyway.

Fun song
Cool song, but there's a lot to it.
Didn't quite click what was going on and I didn't care to take the time to figure it out.
Definitely preferred the rhythm path.
I didn't have my capo handy so I had to go MacGyver mode with the screwdriver and hair ties!

Just bass for now. Strings/new guitar should be coming tomorrow.
What kind of guitar you got coming coldrampage? I just picked up a Pod Go effects modulator. It does a lot of cool stuff, I just have to learn how to use it!

I went to download the Death Cab for Cutie song and Dropbox says "This item was deleted." Then I went to the bottom of the comments and a poster shared a current link.

On Master Mode no less! Impressive!
I'm not sure why it says Master with a gold pick above, and also says Hard with a diamond pick down below. I'm pretty sure I played this specific screen shot on hard. Although, I did try this on master and got a 99.4

Becoming the Bull was a catchy song but the note recognition was all screwy so I spent more time on the Helloween song. Heavy Metal is the Law was really fun to play and I would have liked to play it some more but I came down with a head cold that made me not want to do anything.

I submitted a screen shot for advanced bass (competing class) last week that wasn't recorded. Also, the score for my MC bass must have gotten mixed up with the advanced lead because it was 88, not 77.
You can move me to advanced for all categories going forward.

Man, that beginning part was a doozy.
Cool song that I probably wouldn't have played if not for this. I agree that it should be rated lower.

I suppose I'll have to level up eventually so I should probably do it sooner rather than later. Level me up to Advanced bass for week 357. My apologies Rodman!
With that said, I'm amazed at how much work must go into all of this. The leaderboards, all the different charts and rankings, song ratings, song selection, and even creating CDLC. It is all very much appreciated!
Just trying to understand the leaderboards better... I was looking at the rankings/ Rodman rankings and noticed some names were listed in more than one difficulty category for the same instrument. Yet, there was no astrick determining what class said players were in and points were accumulated in both difficulties, even in the same week. I'm curious how that works.
Yeah, a lot´s of work, but i think we really do have it on a very high level by now. Great you like it.
For the leaderboards: the running leaderboards show every player in his class - normal black font, when he scores in classes above - normal font with *, for the lower classes - grey small font with * - obviously not counting.
From that we calculate the 10-weeks "Rodmans" Leaderboard - places in own class or above are scored 10/5/3/1 for 1st to 4th place and those are summed over the last 10 running weeks.
You can only take the win in your class - so your leveling up makes you winner of Adv Bass - where you belong, congrats, you will be in MC soon i think.
Rock!
Ah, I get it now. You can score and gain points in a higher class but you don't get the win unless you're in that class. Which in turn, encourages people to level up so they can challenge themselves with more difficult songs, all while keeping it fair for everyone else. Brilliant. Thanks for the clarification!

I would say I'm intermediate for lead, in addition to bass and rhythm. I also tried the advanced bass for the Smashmouth song. From what I gather, if you play out of your class at a lower level it's just for fun and doesn't count for points. If you play out of your class at a higher level points still count but you get an asterick noting that it's not your class. This is as long as you don't level up and aren't dominating the lower class. Is this correct?
It's ok. You look more advanced to me than intermediate based on your scores. But ok, I think you may be assigned to Intermediate for now, you will probably be promoted quickly :)
Thanks. I suppose you're right as I'm not far from the leveling up requirements. I did spend a good amount of time in LAS for each track. Eventually, I had to tell myself to give it a rest and post whatever scores I had!

This is my first time trying out the RS Championship. I was reading about leveling and based off of my scores I would assume I'm at least intermediate for bass and rhythm. I might try out lead or the Slash song later today and see how it goes. Anyway, this is what I got..
