Felt like the run was a bust, decided to finish it anyway, then damn near FCed the last solo. Now if I could just get a playthrough where I do that without making dumb mistakes first...

I think Kickstart My Heart is too easy for MC. It's definitely on the harder side of Adv, but there's really nothing that crazy in it.

It's not just you. There are so many sections with 1-2 notes in them that it's really easy to get a strike if you screw up transitioning between riffs.

Was it a bad tab? It seemed pretty spot on to me. I agree that it would be better with chord arpegs, but you could say the same thing about a lot of songs we play in CS. I didn't have any of the tuning or registering problems anybody else had, either. Mostly I'm just miffed that my progress is meaningless and instead I have to learn another 8 minute song this week. We sure get a lot of those lately! Why don't we just call War Pigs Advanced Rhythm, and whoever doesn't like the (in my opinion, completely accurate and functional) tab doesn't have to play it? I don't know perfectly well what the Rhythm chart is like on War Pigs but I'm having a hard time imagining it as MC level.

Bass sounds way more fun than guitar, though the guitar chart wasn't too bad. http://i.imgur.com/mtSUcLE.jpg Crash Test Dummies is another good 90s band. This isn't my favourite track by them or anything, but it's pretty good, and the guitar is bloody hard. I got the hang of chorus and verse by the end of this, I think I can throw another 10-15% on next attempt.

It's a song about headbanging! I think the musicianship in the song adequately quantifies its essence.

I can play all the parts of this perfect individually, it's just a matter of going five minutes in a row transitioning between them without making dumb mistakes. Also I scored 92.7 on Hedobang but forgot to screenshot. I sure hope I can do that again or better before end of week.

Unlike Sigh, I actually gave it a listen on Youtube first to get my head in the game, so that's probably why I scored higher than Advanced first go.

You'd be surprised, it's a pretty easy song as far as learning goes. The eight minutes are pretty repetitive - you only have to learn three similar riffs, some licks, and a solo, and I bet you learned the riffs in the rhythm.
