Haha, this post could have been written just for you based on your WIP list! I'll make sure to check out your updates.
Can I be a little cheeky and request some Stray Cats be added to your list?
Absolutely. MartyV sent me a couple scans from the Rockabilly Bible and I'm pretty sure one of them was Rock This Town. I'll double check and add it to my list.

What do you think, are there some genres neglected? There seems to be a lot of metal (of various sub-genres), punk (mostly non-70s stuff) and general/classic rock but not much love for these:
blues; rockabilly/psychobilly; country; indie; original 50s rock and roll...
I can only work so fast! But seriously, I am working on it.

I would drive to the store and buy a neapolitan klondike bar. Any other flavor, I would go to the trouble of unwrapping and eating one if it were handed to me.

garage rock 'n' soulabilly blues...plus some other stuff.

...And now I've fixed the download link so it goes to the file and not a youtube video. It will probably be easier to get feedback that way...

Awesome idea! I'll be looking for some help here in the future.

Foxboro Hot Tubs are really just Green Day under a different name playing garage rock, which is exactly what they sound like.
- Tones are placeholders at the moment.
- All comments welcome but I'm looking for feedback specifically on the solo.

The one tip I can give you is that the bass drum usually hits on the first beat of a measure, and the first beat is usually the only one you want to adjust or else you'll go mad trying to get everything perfect (and the dynamic difficulty generator may screw up).
Also, if you hit F5 you'll see the spiky green graph thing appear behind your tab. The beats will often coincide with the spikes. You really have to use your eyes and ears.
Trust me, it gets much easier with practice.
EDIT: And bring on the punk!

Chulahoma is my favorite Black Keys album by far. All the songs are Junior Kimbrough covers and it's what got me into Mississippi hill country blues. RL Burnside, Junior Kimbrough, pretty much anything on the Fat Possum label and some other bands that are heavily influenced by that kind of music, like Hillstomp and Left Lane Cruiser. I love it all.
But yeah...that's why I'm working on both Junior's and the Black Keys' version of Meet Me In The City. That may be my most favorite song of any genre.

add "Howlin at the Moon" for another Ramoes fan?
Added to the list

- The 5.6.7.8's - Woo Hoo
- The Black Keys - Have Love, Will Travel - Have Mercy On Me - Meet Me In The City

Marty- Thanks, I'll check that one out after work.
EDIT: I lied. I checked it out AT work. Those videos of the song in A just answered another question I had. I have 2 versions of the sheet music for this song. The solo starts out the same but diverges pretty quickly. I realize now that one fits the A version and the other fits the G version (if it was in A).
I think what I'm going to do is take the one I have (since the tracking is done for the most part) and shift the .wav up to A in Audacity. Then at some point I'll do the other version with the different solo and just have 2 versions of the same song. A plague of riches.

So I guess this is where we post topics concerning CDLC creation? If there's a better place for this feel free to move it.
I'm working on Twenty Flight Rock by Eddie Cochran. Every tab / lesson / video / etc., official or otherwise, has notated the song in the key of A (chords A, D & E).
It didn't sound quite right in my feeble attempts to play along so I plugged it into chordify and it says the song is in G (chords G, C & D).

That sounds much better, or my ears are tricked into thinking it does. I understand this could be a result of just tuning the guitar by ear to itself or slowing the recording down in the studio but I can't be the first person to realize this because I'm woefully ignorant in all things musical.
I think I'm just going to do the arrangements in D standard so that I (and whoever downloads the custom) can play it in stadard tuning in A, the way the rest of the world thinks it should be. So, I suppose my only purpose in posting this is to get a second opinion and verify that I'm not crazy.
Somebody? Anybody?

Well this was up and running fast. Let's hope for a smooth transition.
File naming convention - idea..

The newer versions of the toolkit do add the v1/v2 on the end of a file name by default. If you're finding customs that don't include that, then they either pre-date that version of the toolkit or the person making them isn't filling out the "version" field.
