  1. "Scorpions - Still loving you" is based on this cdlc: http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/still-loving-you-r1809?st=50#comment_328900

The version in the link is the same, but song is re-tuned to A432 tuning, because that's what the original recording is and my ears couldn't take the torture of playing something that sounded so out of tune. If you are too lazy to tune to A432 or are just absolutely tone deaf, you are welcome to use the original version

  3. I am having some problems with song selection this week, so I think new week will be a rather late one.

I found a good fit for the week, but it's pissing me off that the song is not in tune. There are two other versions for it, second one is also way out of tune and third one is in tune, but is missing parts, so it no longer fits the schedule. I think I need to find one more song, and I've not even started with bass testing yet.

    Just GAH!

  4. Also, how did you edit an official, because that needlessly fast scrolling speed is what is solely keeping me from attempting "Satch Boogie" on lead?

Thanks! Interesting result :) Honestly didn't expect you to struggle with the bends. So I take you'd say the Bob Marley song is harder than the Beatles?

Using toolkit to unpack the songs.psarc, which holds the on-disc songs. Then finding the files that you need to create a dlc file and re-packing it with new name. After re-packing, you can change the scroll speed in CFSM.

^ That's how it works, but I wasn't able to get that to work, but luckily I know bwaredapenguin. He does high quality dlcs; just look at the cdlcs he made of the latest Tool album. He also extracted Satch Boogie from on-disc songs and created this:

  5. Good test of fret hand finger muting when you strum through those A&B string double stops. And after that you always have to play the intro to Hallowed be thy name, since your fingers are already in the right position from the clean part.

I don't think this is hard as 6, but the quick bends don't really like to register that well and there are very few notes in the song, so 99+ is extremely hard to achieve. I'd give it 5, with the disclaimer for note density and quick bends.

Would also give this song 5.

@@Snakewizard, can you do me a solid and play the Bob Marley song on lead and see how you do?

  6. @@LarryPlane   I tend to post my scores even if I am not happy with it.  Then I can try to beat my own scores on a different day, nice to see progress.

And it boosts our morale when a demigod of guitar like our friend Johnal over there posts a picture of him totally failing at a beginner level song  It's great to see that even he has to practice in order to get results :)

  7. That Taylor Swift lead is basically partly clean guitar tab and party vocal tab. It's been tabbed the same way as the PC Plum's version, but this is a worse tab. While Plum messed up by also bending the high E string at those unison bend parts, who ever made this failed to bend either string (the B string should be bent two steps for sure).

In any case, I'd suggest playing the PC Plum's version of the song for lead path.

Bass path was weirdly broken in PC Plum's version if I recall correctly, so playing the other version for bass is recommended.

I did not look at the rhythm at this time.

  8.

@@LarryPlane, Welcome. Since you posted 100% on the beginner bass, I set you up at Intermediate Bass.

    Thank you for the welcome

Just one question... What does being set up at intermediate bass mean?

Next week i should play at that level?

Felt as though I struggled here to get the 100%

Play both beginner and intermediate next week and we'll see where you are at. If intermediate feels like way too hard of an obstacle, we'll place you to beginner.
