@@Gamut , thanks mate, it seems I need to download an app if I try to add a song via my phone or I pad but it seems I can do it on the work computers.

I'll have a look for some good songs this weekend (in my opinion anyway ;-) )

I'll try to make sure they are good ones though.

Hi, could someone tell me how to get a song onto the song selection list please.

I'd like to suggest a couple but I'd be shit at suggesting a rating as most songs are 10's to me and I only manage to get a decent score if I play it 20-30 times........ How you guys get high 90's on the first run is beyond me.

Small improvement on the Int Lead.........

And i finally tuned the old Thunderbird to D for a go at the Amorphous song, i still think the singer has laryngitis or something...... but heres my first attempt (a lot of notes didn't register as my bass hates being buggered about withy the 'D' tuning) it seems to take a while to settle 

I think i could get more on these but time is passing and i'm running out of it.

its amazing what improvements can be made by playing over and over again, it also helps if the song is fun to play, here is my first screens of the week.... Flatliner's Lead.....buggered up a bit on the chords and the 7-8-10 bit...

Flatliners Rhythm, still need to sort out a chord then i think i can be up in the higher nineties, great fun....

still dreading the Amorphis song though   :ph34r:

Well I got an hour on Rocksmith tonight I got 85% Flatliners Rhythm, 75% Flatliners Lead, 93.81% Strokes Bass......

I didn't get any screen shots as I though I could better these scores but I didn't, fingers have gone soft and hurt after a couple of run throughs.

I haven't tried the Amorphis song yet as its not the sort of thing I listen to and can't imagine singing this one on the way to work in the mornings, but I hope to have a go at some point before Saturday.

Looks like a few hours on RR tomorrow........

Back from sunny Liverpool, hung over but ready for the new week.

I have listened to the songs in my class and quite like the Flatliners song, but I suggest the Amorphis singer takes a lozenge as he seems to have a very sore throat.

Hopefully I'll get to download tonight and have a go  :rolleyes:

Well no new scores for me, looks like no ADV score this week as I had no time.

In Liverpool now to see one of my fave bands of the eighties.... Deacon Blue

I find it strange that there is no cdlc's for such a big band (wish I could make them)

better than i thought was going to get after last weeks dismal effort, at least my fingers had some idea where they were heading......didn't quite get there but knew where they wanted to be....

had a quick go at the Int bass.....very enjoyable

I may not get to participate this week as I am going to Liverpool to see Deacon Blue @ Aintree.......... I'll try to get a couple of goes in just to keep my efforts up to date.....but they are not going to be good :rolleyes:

Friday night update, 

no improvement on the Megadeth song,this is mostly because i haven't played it so i had a few goes at the Metric song on lead.......

Then i had a go at the Bass, because i like the song and wanted to get at least one 100% this week......

and because of this resounding success and brimming with confidence i decided to go for a better score on the Electric Six toon........ wearing just a pink string vest and tight leather boxer shorts i managed this score......

off to bed once I've applied some talc.......   :unsure:

good evening all, i had to have another go at Megadeth just to see if i dislike it as much as i thought...... 

I probably won't be playing this again as it is a bit out of my league, too fast too furious and too painful.

so i put on my leather chaps, put an LED light in my pants and went on to the Adv Bass Electric six which, weirdly i quite enjoy

I know i am going to get smoked by Covinhas87 but thats all part of the fun,

@@Mortalo I also found some parts of the Mehadeth tune 'a little bit tricky'

In fact I found it all very tricky and I couldn't play this if I had another 10 fingers as my brain does not compute as quickly as the notes come hurling at me from my Mac screen.

I found myself laughing at my lack of hand, finger, string co-ordination then frown as the muscle pain started to seize all fingers up just as the skin on my finger split (super glue has done the trick)

I will be having another go as soon as my tendons heal and I advise everyone to give this tune at least one play through just to see how quickly your fingers can actually move.

Not giving up just yet but might just play Old Macdonald had a farm, tonight

Here is my first screen shots for the week, i've had a go at a few of the songs with varying success.

First is my attempt at Megadeth on lead, i tried on SA but i got 3 XXX's every time which is quite good as i feel i deserved at least 10 !

then i have the Electric six on bass, not really my cup of tea and reminds me of a pub just off of Oxford Street i once went in a few years ago (by accident of course) this pub seemed completely devoid of ladies for some reason.....hmmm

anyway heres the score.

i tried and tried on lead but can't get a score yet so i had a go at Metric, which i like so i might have some more plays of this.

thats it, just to get the ball rolling.

@ @@joedoe - please clarify if you prefer to stay in INT lead or not. Else you are being upleveled to ADV "automatically"

Hi @@Rodman i am not sure if i am ready to progress to Adv yet but i will give this weeks song a go and see how i get on.

I joined the championship to improve my guttering skills so i welcome the quick advance i have made over the weeks plus giving Megadeth a spin means i won't have to play Electric Six (sorry Noony  :rolleyes: )

Do i get the opportunity to move back down if i struggle ?

No....... I thought I had got the intermediate rhythm but @@Vodka has beaten my score, which means I'll have to have another go.

Then I see that I've been beaten by a better 100% on bass by @@covinhas87 ! My Thunderbird is going to hate me for putting it through that song again.

I'm crap at the lead so I'm not that bothered although I might have another little try...... If I beat 98% someone is going to bloody beat it anyway ..... Hahaha
