if you reinstalled your OS, there's a very good chance that you should install all of your drivers (video card, audio, etc). 

An operating system without recent drivers is going to run like dogshit.

Trying to use RS on a second laptop but the internal graphics card is not up to the job.

Anyone use an external card and/or recommendations

It's really rare to be able to get something that isn't just as much cash as a capable laptop or desktop. I'd suggest upgrading.

Ok before I begin this question, I just want to say up front, I'm not trying to upset anybody or hurt any person's feelings, matter of fact, I'm not even going to mention any songs giving me problems.

 

With that being said, I'm here to find out if I have to do something additionally to get SOME of the songs here I downloaded to work properly. Most of them work fantastic, but I have a few that have the worst possible tones I've ever heard. Do I need to do anything special for those songs that sound so horribly while trying to play them? Again, everything else works great, probably about 90% of the songs I've downloaded and played work just fine. It is just that 10% that I enjoy learning to play that sound so horrible, and I have to turn my sound down tremendously to use them to avoid blowing speakers, the distortion is that bad.

 

Any suggestions?

CDLC will always be of various quality. The power you have? You can load up any CDLC and fix it yourself to your liking. That's always there. 

It just takes a fair amount of learning and time. 

However, we don't turn away any CDLC unless it's been proven to be unusable (doesn't load, tone bug, etc).

I've owned two. Haven't had to replace any yet, nearly going 2 years.

They have to support their current DLC and original songs,, so i'm pretty sure the current file format (.psarc) will be compatible too.

When I go to the CDLC page there are no songs listed there just a blank blue screen. I cleared cache and flushed DNS but it did not help.

Did some tweaking to our database settings, ignition should be a little faster now.

I just dont really feel up to snuff with making more DLC atm, i want to focus on other projects like make more music, focus on life, and other shit.  So it may be a few weeks, may be a few months, who knows....

I always get inspired whenever I see a band I really like (and if they perform really well).  If I reach that a 1/3 level one day, I'll be super content.

Hello, I'm a Mac user that uses the toolkit, etc. in Parallels, but plays RS in OSX. I'm wondering if you could either put a preference or also have it search/support _m.psarc files.

Do you know what kind of HD format parallel's uses for the filesystem? FAT? NTFS? or one of the OS X ones? 

There's a giant hardware barrier (called the internet) that makes the online play of rocksmith pretty hard. The infrastructure of the US and even the world just isn't fast/stable enough to permit "fun" and accurate multiplayer. 

 

I don't see this happening. It's connecting monetary value to CDLC.

What's the reason for the donation goal jump? Did we add on more things? It was around $250 last month and this month its $650... and February was the big "annual" renewal month.

Can we get an option to sort or list only those song with custom tones. This is getting tiring downloading a song and having it tank the game and needing to restart.

This isn't simple like that. Whether or not a game has a custom tone does not dictate whether or not the game tanks.

On many occasions I've wanted to add a comment to some CDLC but when I hit the submit button, either nothing happens, or the three dots at the top of the screen showing progress appear briefly then disappear and my comments aren't made. 

I'm using Chrome, but also have the same issue with IE 11. Is anyone else having the same issue?

Hello, I was curious about the "security" behind using CDLC. I'm curious exactly what happens when using cdlc? Basically my question is if I were to play cdlc off of a network that isn't mine, is that traceable? Honestly it's still unclear to me what the legal mumbo-jumbo is for using cdlc. Can someone potentially help me out? Thanks!

We'd prefer it you support the artists of the CDLC that you use. 

That said, anything is traceable/hackable, I don't see any attack vectors coming from CDLC.
