Tried standing up for a change of pace. Not sure if that made the difference or not, but after a couple bloops to start, increased a decent amount, then went to score attack and bested that twice again, resulting in this personal best for the beginner song:
Beginner - Lead - 98.3%
I was initially put off by this song too - not that I'm a prude or anything, but it is just a little too "in your face" for my tastes. Just goes to show you can improve from anything I guess. Hope to improve a bit more before the week is out.

Hope everyone had a good week. My scores may not show it, but I get the sense that I am getting better from the perspective of my fingers just "knowing" where to go on chords, or at least it doesn't take me as long to get that when a slightly different one pops up. Have also been trying to not stare at my fretting hand so much and rely on knowing where I am on the fretboard. Anyway, here's my best shots for this week. Thanks!

Update to my Rhythm score - now at 98.43%.
Couldn't get the lead up any further so far. Just sloppy fingers really. Probably should try slowing it down to 85/90 speed until I can do it perfectly, then try speeding it up.

Unlike last week, this one clicked for me pretty fast (but it is pretty easy too). Having some struggles with the bridge part where it starts using the "red" and the "blue" strings instead of "red" and "yellow" (in other words, where you have a dead string in the middle). Anyway, here's where I'm at for tonight on lead:
Lead - 96.83%

For some reason this week's song just didn't get me interested in going through the effort to work it up. I tried folks, I really tried, but it was just something I can't put my finger on. Anyway, here's the best I could muster this week after an admittedly poor effort:
Lead - 69.2%

Managed to improve a touch under 1%, but cracked 96%. Chord changes and just not getting fingers placed correctly are my issues here and there. Also seems like Score Attack is a little more picky about things compared to Learn A Song, even if both are set to max.

Been working on this for a few days; just cant get the chord changes fast enough on rhythm. Both lead and rhythm I still have problems where I won't strum all the strings in the chord, which causes it to miss. Can't clear Rhythm on score attack, but can on Lead with 1 or 2 strikes.

So I caught a nasty end of summer cold and so far the cold medicine messes with me. How do people play high and/or drunk??? Anyway, here's the best I can do so far:

Worked on Alien Ant Farm all week (plus some of the Sinners one but mostly AAF). Didn't improve beyond my prior posting on the Sinners.
Smooth Criminal - Lead - 82.3%
Smooth Criminal - Rhythm - 87.0%
Probably won't have time to get any improvements on these before times up. Man, that AAF song is FAST! -
Was amazed to see I finished 1st on lead last week; would have sworn I saw others higher. I'm really glad I've kept with this as I'm playing with a purpose again.
So, just Beginner Lead for me after this weekend - worked on Alien Ant Farm for a while but had to stop when the wrist started hurting. Helps that I know and like that song.
Here's the Beginner Lead - 96.36%
Will be working more on the Intermediate paths, but may return to this to see if I can do better. It's really just some chord changes that get me flagged here and there, along with the odd finger fumble in that last part that runs along the high E string.

Took a couple days off and went back at it again tonight. Can't do any better on the lead, fingers just won't go fast enough for a couple of those runs on the 3 high strings.
Did manage to go up another little bit on rhythm though. now at 98.2%

Managed to up my scores just a touch after some more practice tonight. And I looked up the band - I noted prior I didn't speak spanish, so couldn't understand the lyrics. Seems I also don't know the difference between spanish and portuguese either! Still doesn't help me understand the lyrics though since I understand even less portuguese than spanish . . . :rolleyes:

For some reason when I try to add pictures, I can't get the post to make it, so I guess no pictures, only links.
I never heard this song before yesterday when I sat down to start learning it. No clue what they are singing about due to not speaking a lick of spanish beyond what I need to order at the local mexican food joints, but fun song. I am quite happy with how far I was able to go with this in just 2 days. Hope to keep working on it before the week is up.

Well, after going through riff repeater and roughly 90 minutes each night this week other than Wednesday night, I can do no better than my previously posted Rhythm score and can't replicate my lead score from last week. I don't know what it is, I seem to miss about every 5th chord, even though I think I'm playing it right. Oh well, something to keep working on I guess. I'm done for this week I think.

Being the newbie I am, I'm glad for another week to work on Louie Louie. I think I figured out one of my issues, which was that while I might be fingering the 3 and 4 note chords right, I was actually strumming through the last note - i.e. - hitting the first 2 notes for the 3 note chords and only the first 2 or 3 notes on the 4 note chord.
That said, I was able to clear the Rhythm path on score attack, for a satisfying 94.94%

Efforts to improve my lead path score continue, as I keep getting 3 strikes, largely due to failing out one random section and usually 2 of the solo sections. Notwithstanding, I can see some improvement which helps with the motivation!
Will keep working on it and hope to submit a better score for both lead and rhythm by the end of this week's run.

Same here - the bends in the lead path are killing me. Also still fighting the fingers to get the 4 note chords correctly.

Still doing the beginners song - nice one this week. Never heard it before but the melody is beautiful.
So far, best I can do on Lead is 88.99%.
