  1. Wepeel, it is not about needing to delete versions but rather needing to download 5, 6, 7 versions of the same song by the same charter.  As far as being a new charter that should be even more reason to take your time before putting songs out. I think that is a perfect example of why there needs to be separate WIP and Approved sections. I also understand that there could still be times when Approved songs might need some updating but it would definitely be better than having to download a song multiple times.

  2. While I understand, and appreciate, the need for changes as feedback comes in, I do think that multiple versions are hard to keep track of. I had multiple version of the same songs in my DLC file because of the frequent updates and I have decided that for me personally I will no longer download those songs.

  3. Lately there have been numerous songs that are seemingly updated with new versions daily or sometime multiple times in one day. I am not saying that this is the worst thing that could happen, at least the fixes and changes are occurring for some songs. But it does make it difficult to keep up with the changes and requires that users download a new version each time.  I would prefer to download songs that are further along in their initial development before they are released, hoping that this would alleviate the need for 5, 6, 7 or more versions.  Just my two cents.

  4. It has happened to me 3 times.  I have over a thousand hours played and several hundred customs in my file.  I am very concerned that this may be caused by only a few customs with issues, and I hope that it is not an actual calculated attack.  If it happens again, I am going to dump all of my customs and add them back very slowly (I tend to add 10+ at a time). I would truly hate to bail on using new customs but losing all of my progress may not be worth the frustration.

  5.

People play this for score?  I'd be much more concerned with having the customs backed up, which by the way if you ever delete Rocksmith from your Steam library it will delete the entire folder including the customs.

Yes they do. I know I do, not just because i have a stat fetish (we are talking a girl who has a spreadsheet with all her customs in and whether sh'e played them or not, complete with a randomiser to choose a random song to play), but with being a beginner i find it useful to know when i've improved on a score and how many times i've played a song. If i lost my scores I would be hella annoyed. I remember losing my iTunes library once, i was more annoyed at losing my play counts than my songs.

I keep a spreadsheet to to help me keep track of my progress with Accuracy and Song %

  6. Never bought it although I have thought about it.  I really hope that its demise will not further discourage bands from getting involved or releasing their songs to "games"/learning programs, but I fear that it will.  They had some pretty heavy duty players in their stable but it seems that was not enough to overcome the poor interface and playing features.

  7. I think it depends upon what "approved" means.  It seems to me that there was a rush on SA to get customs approved, but they were not complete and many times the person who submitted would move on to the next song without ever completing their previous works. Having half finished or incorrect songs in the approved section completely defeats the purpose of having the section in the first place. Just my opinion.
