  1. Your unbest is very impressive @ , I look forward to your best play-through with a facecam :) my pal thinks I am sad for recording videos, but she doesn't understand the competition side of my practice and that it's mainly for improvement reference and confidence... Plus she's already talented and has played in bands and stuff for years... Plus putting faces to names is nice, makes me feel like we're sharing an epic journey :)
  2. This video demonstrates Rocksmiths sympathy for my playing... I wish it wouldn't do that! So many F'cups :)
  3. 415 plays on monster truck sweet mountain is my record for most plays :) One of the few I've mastered :) Nice one @@Smile! Another Zebra score http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=330784268 I also have a video but have been informed I'm not allowed to upload it until after Supernatural :(
  4. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=330776330Bit more improvement. Fixed my intonation on my Jazz Bass and it's sounding much better, no longer getting Rocksmith informing me my volume is too low either when the gain is full :) ... no video as yet, still too clumsy on this one

Brew a cup of tea/roll a cigarette while you wait for the bass line to kick in. In terms of the very brief arpeggio requiring a rather large reach or a decently quick 3rd finger shift and some relatively hastey fret shifts, I'd rate it about a 3. Alestorm, fast, furious, fun... if you're a mother plucker like me though, get some vaseline on those finger pads. I found it a tad easier than Skyclad tbh so I'd say 2.90ish to 2.99. John Butler Trio, boingy. I like "Boingy!" a 6 for me I feel. This is the kinda bass line I like to play, repetitive and fun rhythms, a good dose of shifting and some nice flourishes to make you feel like you're contributing to the tune and not just following the drum beat. I'll take the 6 back and say 7 actually... there is a beastly skip from the D to E string at the end which I either miss the E or the D or both and shout at my monitor a bit. SEVEN! :) Oh yeah, and @@Kaijin, the inlay worked a treat! @@MilkmanDan the link worked... as you may see :) Cheers to you both!
  6. Little bit of birthday trivia, it's also Carrie Fisher's birthday today... So let's head on down the Cantina and play some Han solo's on the rebel bass :)
  7. Nice! Where did you get the nifty fretboard @@Kaijin? I could really use something like that to get me more acquainted with the notes on the neck of my bass :)
  8. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=329744216Booo 1 note off of hitting the rocksmith recommends thing ... typical
  9. That's alright @ :) I'm old so they're not so significant anymore, just a bit depressing :)
  10. Happy birthday @@Joey and @@Mortalo :) (I too am an October Birthday participant :).) We're very creative folk us Octobians :)
  11. Cheers @@MilkmanDan, as it turns out it still didn't work for me after clearing the old file , I'll sort it later and give it at least 1 go... Provided me and the kids don't get carried off in the tail end of this hurricane on the way to school! :(
  12. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=329574339More improvement. Spending my time practicing this one for the moment as I'm not sure how much time I'll have at the end of the week to play so while I have time for the now, this is the one it'll be spent on :) dying to try Drink though :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tb9jomijzJY
  13. Very impressive play through @@Smile, likin' the video edit too... L33t skillz :)
  14. Hehe @@Joey I played guitar for 20 odd years ... Badly, chords are a piece of cake in comparison on trying get my massive fingers to hit tiny strings in quick succession... We shall see though :D
  15. Really looking forward to tonight and practicing, the competition is really hotting up :) also, on a side note (no pun intended) I may be joining the guitar crowd come Christmas :) my lovely other half has been talking to Santa and thinks if I am good between now and then he will get me an electric classical guitar (so my entries will be limited but after owning 3 Electric guitars and selling them all I came to the realisation lead guitar and me is a bit out of my league... Warm turd as opposed to shit hot when it comes to widdley widdley "weeewawwwwewww" ) :D
  16. I can't seem to play Drink. It's in my list but when I click to play I see no fret board or notes and there's no music. Is there a new link to the updated DL of Drink that I've missed in amongst the screenies? :)
  17. Zebra http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/40856156471341563/FBB7BBC723133B93AEEF130701B30EE7FAA21BDE/ This is a blast to play, bang in the middle of advanced imo. Just the one score for now :)
  18. Really looking forward to playing Zebra :D It's a fantastic track :D
  19. A heartfelt thanks from "Wirral, North West england" Too... Seems an old gal can learn new tricks after all, thanks to the effort of those in the Magna Charter. I'm still teaching myself the charting side of things and hope that one day I'll be able to share some of my favourite tracks too :) Kudos you guys! :)
  20. I know it's late and doesn't count towards last week, but here's my play-through for final attempt on Obstacle for comparison purposes. I'd played it a few more times as I wasn't happy with the recording of the original 100%er I'd done as I knew for a fact I'd f'd up at the end but RS was forgiving (which get's on my nerves, if I EFF up, RS, DON'T BE SYMPATHETIC DAGNABBIT! ) so, this recording's bit better and I'm happier with the outcome. I'll get round to this weeks challenges later tonight though :) http://customsforge.com/videos/view-1002-interpol-obstacle-100-score-attack-hard-on-bass/
  21. http://cloud-4.steampowered.com/ugc/40856156421843604/FF1CC13EF46F9580660AFBA4135FED00A89097BE/got there in the end, have played it probably another 20 times since this score but can't 100% it again so posting this now just incase I don't make it in time for last orders :) The other 20 times I played it were much better, just doing a "Milky D" at the minute and 99.87ing the other runs :(
  22. Despite having a mild hangover, I shall be pushing to get 100% on adv and have a PT for comparison, just hope 3 hours is enough time :D
  23. @@Rodman if it is the case that I end up back in MC I'll just have to suck it up and be bottom for the next 8000 hours :) I can always make up my own little competitions in my head, so hopefully that will still give me some motivation. I've resigned myself to the fact I won't win MC when I only have 1000 hours of play under my belt so it's just a matter of time and effort :) ... Going to still attempt the 100%, @@MilkmanDan's method to improve shall be tested :D sound advice, Milky D!
