Bass players,
Would you prefer to play this section the first way or the second way? It doesn't make any difference which one leads into the next section. Any preferences?
Thanks.

Hey, Vox makes that emulating guitar you've been looking for. Check it out:

Hi, Steve
Just checked out that Vox VXll Guitar Amp. In the write up on it, it says you can make it sound like many different brands of Amps. with the software included. It's amazing at the advancement in electronics and computers now days. I can't wait until they develop a cheap Guitar that can be programmed to sound like a multitude of super expensive Classic Guitars, but that might be too much to hope for.
Later, Terry
Watched and read some reviews on the amp and everybody praised it, especially for the price. It looks like shit, but I couldn't care less. It emulates a Fender, a couple of Marshalls, a few VOXs, an Orange, and some others I can't remember. Should be here Monday to give it a test drive.

Played Supersonic. Everything looks pretty good. Maybe a few notes a little off sync in those solos, but wasn't really sure because the audio has a little echo to it, and my playing sucks. Volume and tone seemed good.

Just bought a cheap little amp and a splitter so I can play Rocksmith and the amp simultaneously. Should make it easier to hear the guitar parts with the amp. And now I won't have an excuse to go over to my brothers and jam with him on drums, which is scary.

Hey, Terry,
Just played Green River. Tones, volumes, and sync all look good. I always struggle with CCR songs. He uses a lot of chords on the little strings and I end up getting lost a lot, but that's common with my playing.
I agree on Gloria. Even though it's basic chords, you've got to get through them really quickly, plus there's two open strums in the middle of those chords making it even harder. I started out at 50% speed and increased from there, but still was sloppy as hell.
Working on my 3rd version of Only You Can Rock Me by UFO. Finally got proper tabbing for lead and rhythm, now have to put a lot of work into bass line.

Here's a link to the template. Not sure when it was created, maybe a year ago. No big deal, just have to import package to get same info.
Thanks.

Getting this error when trying to load a package with latest release:

Just played Jammin' Me. Nice, easy power chords. Tone sounds a little soft with my setup. During chorus, you've got it charted as every eighth note, but I think it should have a couple pauses in there to kind of go with the vocals. If you give it a good listen, it shouldn't be too hard to pick up.

They also mentioned that I could throw the DVD in my computer and use Audacity to record the audio and get higher quality that way as well.
Freemake does really easy conversions from video to audio. Just load up your video and then convert it. Not sure how to do it with Audacity, but would guess Freemake is a lot simpler.

Who can forget the monster in the crate from Creep Show. Scared the piss out of me when I was a kid.

Grabbing the best quality audio from Youtube is the best you can do if you don't have the original song on disc, etc.
Audacity won't make the quality of the audio any better. It allows you to trim the track, fade in/out, adjust overall volume, etc. It works a lot like a word processing program: highlight, cut/paste, delete, etc.
If you're having real trouble finding a particular track, let me know and I'll see if I can find it somewhere else.

The twilight zone Movie 1983, I was 10 years old, this movie scared the living shit out me back then.
Creep Show, too.

Wanna see something really scary?
I remember that one. Maybe even scarier is Aykroyd having to work with Albert Brooks instead of Belushi.

Going to be re-doing some Bowie songs already done by other people: Moonage Daydream and Rock n Roll Suicide. The versions out there aren't terrible, but need some love. Will also be doing Fame, which nobody has done yet, with main riff written by Robert Fripp (I wonder if @Frippchen even knows that).
If anyone can think of any other Bowie tunes that need polish, let me know and I'll try and redo them.
Just finishing up a couple Link Wray songs, plus Gloria by Them. Should have them up soon.
Welcome @Damage.

Hello all,
Glad to see everyone is still going strong and Jbroch hasn't punched anybody in a while.
Some semi-interesting guitar stuff:

Happy holidays all. Glad to see you guys are still going strong. I'm going to be picking up the ol' guitar soon; it just keeps staring me in the face and giving me a sad look. Going to be so much fun rebuilding those calluses.

Hello, all,
Still here. See you all have been very busy, good to see. Doing a little better on new meds, waiting to feel a little more normal before I pick up the guitar again. Hopefully, that won't be too long.

Unknown Hinson is hilarious when interviewed and on Squidbillies (one of my favorite shows about hillbilly squid). Haven't heard his music, but would be interesting to see.
