Hello all,

Anyone else having trouble with sections/phrases in EoF.  If I redo sections or do them for the first time, they get all f'd up.  Just started happening a couple days ago.  It will show some sections and not others.  Some tracks I can only put one section on for some reason.  Going to try and reinstall EoF and see what happens.  Just wondering if anybody else has seen this.

Thanks, RS.  No help needed.  I will check the live version against studio version, usually not a lot of difference.  More work to do!

We're Not Gonna Take It is a lot of fun to play.  Sounds good so far.  The Orange Tiny Terror sounds nice, always wanted to use the Orange amps but the volumes are so low in the game.  A few slides and bends in the solos and you're there.  Reminds me of Friday Night Videos in the 80's for those of us who didn't have MTV.

Attempted to play Search and Destroy, made a mess of it, but not as bad as Courtney Love.  Everything sounds good.  I know this sounds counter intuitive, but if you speed the chart up, it's easier to play in the game.  With a song like this with a lot of chord panes, when the speed is slow, they tend to overlap and can be hard to distinguish from one another.  I would try a speed of between 1.2 and 1.4, but that's just me.   It may seem fast at first when you play, but your eye will quickly catch up.

If you want a laugh, check this out.  Courtney Love stiffed a sound engineer at a concert, so the engineer released a copy of her vocals and guitar isolated.  At least I know there is one guitar player out there worse than I am.  Thinking about doing this one for a custom.

Jumpin' Jack Flash - Great version of this song.  Charting looks good.  Tone volume is just a little soft on my setup.

Highway 61 - Everything looks good.  I need a lot of practice on this one.  Song volume is a little low.  Tone volume is okay.

Suzie Q - In the 5th section, your missing a phrase.  It's the main riff repeating and it's missing one of the times.  Other than that, charting looks really tight.  I like how the main riff plays now.  I would still add a good helping of distortion on those tones, especially the solos where the guitar makes that "woo" sound.

Yeah, the song starts with piano and some ghostly distorted guitar sounds.  I chopped that whole beginning off so you don't have to wait a minute to play.  Still close to 7 minutes of music, so no big deal.

Sometimes when you convert bass tracks in EoF to six string tracks, the tuning gets all screwed up.  I've fixed it, then gone back and it's screwed up again.  Just one of those goofy glitches that shows up now and then.  Going to give new Suzie Q a shot tonight.  UFO's Love to Love might be the end of me, lead path is about 1/3 done.

When I used headphones, people would always say my tone volumes were low even though they sound good to me.  Everyone's setup is different, we'll never all have the same sounds and volumes.   The charting is what's really important, and your charting is awesome.

To see the bonus tracks in the game, go to your song, and at the bottom of the screen, I believe it says ""Bonus Arrangements".  Click on that to see if your bonus track shows up.  You can't tell if a song has a bonus track until you click on that which is something Ubisoft should have fixed long ago.  Also, the bonus track will only show up for the instrument you are on, i.e. the lead bonus only shows up when playing lead, rhythm on the rhythm screen, etc.

I think I'm going to have to play with the pick sideways from now on.  It feels odd to go back to the normal way.  Got to work on getting in deeper on the little strings with the pick sideways.  That's the only down side I'm having so far is it's easier to pick the little strings with the sharper edge than the blunter side.

Stones - 2000 Light Years - Charting looks good.  Tone volume could be louder, hard to hear compared to song.

Stones - She's a Rainbow - Charting is good.  Rhythm tone is very soft.  Lead tones are not as quiet, but could use more volume.

Other than a few volume adjustments, everything looks great.  Enjoyed playing these, thanks.

That makes a lot of sense with the double lead.  That double lead is going to be rough to chart.  It's really hard to hear under everything else.  Is there any way of doing a combo of the two?  It would be sort of a generic version and not the "true" version of the guitar paths, but would still be fun to play.  Just a thought.  Good luck, bud.

Anyone ever tried using the pick sideways?  Accidentally played a whole song like that and, oddly, it felt good.  Seems like the broader tip of a sideways pick makes strumming easier as well as picking.  I often get the pick "caught" on strings when moving from string to string during fast picking, but this seems to lessen that.  I've been using the sideways pick about 50% of the time and can't yet settle on one way.

Also working on UFO's opus Love to Love.  7 minutes of shitty tabs to figure out.  Going to have to do a lot of plucking and matching notes to get this one down.  Expected release is the Spring of 2025.

CCR - Suzie Q - The lead tone could use a little more distortion to give it a kind of muddy sound, especially on the solos.  Sounds like he might be using an open wah pedal on the solos to give it that howling sound.  You can literally hear him click the pedal before the last solo.  The main riff sounds like it's missing some of the lower notes, or like there's a second guitar playing under it maybe?  The first note of the song doesn't seem to be charted as well as the last low note of the main riff.  The rhythm part is awesome to play.  Sounds perfect and a lot of fun, even though it's just a few chords.

Stones - Back Street Girl - Tough one to play for my fat, slow fingers.  Tone should be brighter, doesn't really sound acoustic.  Maybe try Aludog's acoustic tone?  Aludog's Acoustic Tone

Played Tambourine Man.  Everything looks good, charting, syncing, etc.  Rhythm tone could use more distortion, right now it sounds flat.  More distortion and more high end on that tone would make the non-muted chords really stand out like in the song.  Lead tone sounds really good (maybe use that for rhythm tone?)

Capt. Jack:  Tones and volumes sound good to me.  Nice booming tone for the solos, good tone changes for the fills.  Fun to play.

Here's my third try at getting UFO - Only You Can Rock Me right.  Redone from scratch with new tab, much more playable.  Bass line can be hard to hear at times, so I did the best I could.  L and R are easy to pick up with lots of power chords, until Schenker does some ridiculous solo, of course.  Cool bass line as well.  If anyone would like to give it a try: Only You Can Rock Me v3

If there's any more songs anyone would like me to give a try, just let me know.  Been busy screwing around with amp the last few days.

Joplin - Move Over:  Some notes in solo right before it gets really fast seemed a little out of sync.  In the outro, there's phrases where there shouldn't be and some phrases missing all the notes.  I noticed the main riff changes slightly throughout the song, but they're all charted the same.  Sometimes, it's two hits on the string rather than a bend, etc.  Tones sound good.  I agree with Avdoc's recomendations on volumes.

Joplin - Piece of My Heart:  From what I could hear, everything looks good.  Hard to distinguish between lead and rhythm because they play similar parts, so can be hard to tell.

Deep Purple - Morning Eye:  Awesome song, great riff.  Looks good, like the tone.  Fret hand positions get a little goofy sometimes but still playable.  Defer volumes to what Avdoc says.

Thanks for the good advice @@jbroch.  I think the amp is actually going to help me.  It more accurately lets me know where I need to improve, so everywhere.

The one on the left is a step up from the model I have, except it's 20W instead of 30W.  The same electronics but the tones on that model are a little more customizable than the one I have.  My little hunk of shit sounds great to me and is pretty loud, loud enough to play with drums.  That's a good price at $179 though, usually those are about $200.

Playing with the amp doesn't give you anywhere to hide your mistakes.  When playing with the music on RS, so many of my errors get covered up by the music and the sound of the real guitar track.  It's good because I can really hear what I sound like now and hope to correct my errors.  I thought I was Eddie Van Halen playing along before, now I feel like Eddie Munster.

Would you prefer to play this section the first way or the second way?  It doesn't make any difference which one leads into the next section.  Any preferences?

I disagree with the other guys. Option 1 is far better. With option 2 you get two open strings ringing out at the same time. No serious bass player would use option 2.

The vote is split, but I'm going to go with option 1.  I agree about the open strings ringing out.  Thanks, guys.
