And SOLVED!!!! Somehow it had switched to "emulated" bass and when I switched that back to "real bass" it worked as expected. Makes sense since it was an octave off in hindsight but OMG how frustrating!

So some additional experimentation: I have tried a brand new Real Tone Cable and same behavior The bass(es) are in fact getting picked up but for some reason it is picking it up at least an octave what the bass is tuned to. By that I mean in Standard E tuning when I pluck the E string the tuner is telling me to tune down about 7 frets. Same behavior on all strings I have zapped the Rocksmith.ini file so it would create a new one Will update if I find anything else...

Hi all, Been playing RS14 since release and have more than 1200 hours logged but recently ran into a problem I just can't seem to solve. All of a sudden when I get into RS and to the main menu where you can start to hear your instrument I get.. almost nothing. I can hear a "thump" that changes pitch with the strings but that's it with the same behavior across all of my basses. Sure would appreciate any suggestions anyone may have...

Sorry that it took so long to get back to this but this is actually EXACTLY what I was looking for. I didn't realize that after going through it with riff repeater that your level of success would then carry over to the "normal" Learn a Song mode. Thanks a ton for the suggestion!

I have actually been doing it that way but it is kind of a pain since I play through songs somewhat like a hyper-active squirrel. When I really hunker down on one then this workaround works beautifully but I am holding out hope that there may be more of a global way to do it. As an idea that I haven't had the chance to test (or research) yet is it possible to de-pack a DLC (official and/or Custom), remove DD, and re-pack?

Hi all, Has anyone by chance found a way short of using RR or SA to disable DD? I recently got my first corrupted profile and don't really want to go back through leveling everything back up because it just takes so long. I did some googling and scanning through the reddit but couldn't really find anything so, before I give up, thought I would ask here in case someone had found a solution using something from the expanded set of tools available for making customs. Thanks in advance for any tricks any of you may have found...
