  1. I feel like making a guitar pro first would be better..because i can then directly import them to rocksmith & upload them to Tablature sites... && I agree. Was just hoping there was some sort of instructional out there. Ill keep digging. Thanks for the responses everyone. I appreciate it

  2. When I started with GP I actually had not much of a clue what I was doing but I just tried out all the functions, started to work on some actual songs and with some time and patience I figured out all the things that one needs. Even after you worked with it for a while you will still find new things that you didn't even know GP was capable of. ;)

So, all I can tell you: fuck tutorials and just start using it. Practice makes perfect as they say and you can't get familiar with a software just from looking at some tutorials, so there's seldom a better way to learn something other than just using it actively and with a specific purpose. Even if your music theory skills are not that great (mine weren't when I started) you will slowly get the hang of it and actually start understanding it from a practical perspective. Look at well made GP tabs from UG and try to see how things are set up there. Play around with those files and you'll definitely learn from that.

Thank you :) Great response & I will deffinately try this.

    really appreciate it

And if you are looking for some help on how to transcribe, experience is the biggest element and ear training will help a lot too. Trial and mostly error will be of the party!

Haha very funny. though I did make searches and haven't found exactlyt what im looking for.. those tutorials are all about basic functions & navigating through the program. I was really hoping to find a tutorial with someone actually taking a song and tabbing it out in Guitar Pro for an In-Depth tutorial because I learn better after seeing someone do it.

    Thanks for the response none-the-less.

  4. I tried to investigate in this, here  vvhat I found, maybe there is more other tools and tutorials avalible novv, but that vvas spot on by me :)

For now this will have to do until someone points me towards a good Guitar Pro Tabbing Tutorial. I just don't know when to use certain functions/notes etc.

Thanks for this information though Alex! It is still helpful :)

  5. Going to post my scores in a little bit. Missed last week because I thought it ended/switched on Mondays >< Whoops.

Quick question: Alot of these songs i'm getting in the 90's but whats holding me from getting high 90's is ALWAYS the solo's.

I feel like i'm a great guitar player (Not terrible) but every song has the ONE part (mostly the solos) that I just completely wiff.

Whats a good way to learn to tackle these solo's?? for example ...And Justice For All. That song is fun/easy to play until I hit the solo.

Then it's like they amped up the difficulty level x10 for like a 30 second solo. Ugh ><

  7. This is true, but alot of players when using a Capo reffer to the capo as the "Nut" position. Is it like this for everyones Rocksmith? or just mine? ><

I guess what im asking is: Does everybodies game display the capo like this? Or is there an option I can enable to make it as I described?

    Thanks for the response :)

  8. I've been having this problem since I bought Rocksmith 2014 back at launch. I know they added capo support & it had bugs at first but im pretty sure they have been solved by now..which leads to my question: Why does my Capo not set the fret numbers accordingly? Example: You put the capo on the third fret, so the 3rd fret should come up as a "0" technically to not make things confusing..no?

Here's a screenshot of a song im playing with capo on the third fret.

The notes are recognized but when playing other songs that ARENT open chord songs, things get confusing pretty quickly...

Anyone know how i can fix this problem? Id really appreciate it!
    Thank you :)

  9. Ah okay. That makes sense. Thanks for the information guys I really appreciate it.

I had stumbled across the program the other day so I figured i'd share.

I agree jamming in person is the way to go, but when that just isn't possible it is nice to have a program like this that you can fall back on.

I don't get to see alot of the old people I used to jam with because after college everyone starts moving away etc.

Still can hope for a Multiplayer mode eventually :P lol

  10.

Rockband figured out how to do it, though (multiplayer).

Not really the same, Rock Band fires off MIDI samples. Rocksmith uses real time audio interpretation

Theres a PC application out there called Ejamming that lets you Jam/Record with others in real time without any delay so I don't see why Multiplayer can't be done. Theres a free trial, give it a try. :P

If you watch this video, you'll see that ejamming really isn't as "real time" as you're thinking. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YKyDzSaS4h0#t=27

Hrm I suppose. Though I tried it with a friend without hitting the record button and we we're jamming at the same time with what seemed like no latency. If you havent tried it out I still recommend giving it a shot

  11. I figured i'd use the same tempo the original has. Im no expert with GP5 tabbing but it was not that bad to do what I had to do.

Maybe we could use those slides and stuff though :P I'd like to hear it on guitar first.

    Keep em coming guys!
