  1. That was indeed the case. It is fixed in the latest release.
  2. New release: https://github.com/mikeoliphant/ChartPlayer/releases/latest Changes include: Improved note detection Note detection now pays attention to tuning Fixed time/pitch scaling getting lost when the plugin is reset
  3. Changing the buffer size will partially re-initialize the plugin. I'm probably just not completely handling that properly. That was probably making your audio sync worse as well. The re-tuning adds latency that I'm not properly accounting for in the display yet.
  4. Do you have "Re-tune to E Standard" enabled in options?
  5. It just occurred to me that the new version is using a later version of .NET - you may not have it installed. https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/8.0
  6. Strange. Can you check if there any log files in: %appdata%\AudioPlugSharp
  7. The latest version has an option to set the length (in seconds) of the note display. If you lower it, it will make the notes come at you faster and space them out more.
  8. The latest version now has a left handed display mode.
  9. The latest version now has some basic support for keeping track of the number of detected notes.
  10. Download it here: https://github.com/mikeoliphant/ChartPlayer/releases/latest Changes include: Added an option to change the note display time length Added a left-handed display mode Added some help dialogs Added a pause button Initial attempt at keep track of an accuracy "score"
  11. I can easily mirror the display left to right, which basically works but the the text is then backwards It will take a bit more work to fix the text, but definitely doable.
  12. Nope, I hadn't even thought to add a lefty mode. Shouldn't be too hard, though - just a left/right mirror?
  13. You only need to download "ChartPlayerVST3Plugin.zip". Extract it, and follow the instructions in the included README.txt. Download the "PsarcConverter.zip" file and extract it anywhere you like. Then just run the program "PsarcConverter.exe". Virus detection often relies on having a database of "known" files. Because of this, detectors will often incorrectly flag uncommon files. I have no reason to believe that any of the files I am distributing are dangerous. Feel free to ask if you have any more questions.
  14. I just released a new PsarcConverter that works properly on scaled screens.
  15. Thanks for letting me know. I've fixed this sort of issue in other contexts before, so I should be able to sort it out here. Yeah, there is definitely tweaking that could be done. If you have specific examples where there are issues, can you let me know? Thanks! Implementing the more "gamey" parts (like scores, etc.) has been a low priority for me, but I can see how at least some of that would be useful. I also haven't spent a ton of time fine-tuning the note detection, so more work will likely be necessary there to make accuracy % really useful. I recently put a little README in the VST plugin .zip file. It only talks about getting the plugin installed, though. Any specific information you are thinking of? Thanks for the feedback!
  16. Version 0.1.2 is now available: https://github.com/mikeoliphant/ChartPlayer/releases/latest
  17. Note that there was a bug causing a crash on initial song index creation with release v0.1.0. A new version is now up - the link in the post above goes to the latest version.
  18. ChartPlayer v0.1.0 is now available to download here: https://github.com/mikeoliphant/ChartPlayer/releases/latest Changes include: Support for changing speed while keeping pitch the same Song playback speed slider Song list improvements (album art, scroll bars) Highlighting of active vocal in vocal display Support for selecting from multiple arrangements of the same instrument type Rocksmith PSARC files can be converted to OpenSongChart format for use in ChartPlayer using PsarcConverter. You can download it here: https://github.com/mikeoliphant/PsarcConverter/releases/tag/v0.1.1 A re-conversion using the latest PsarcConverter is required to make album art available.
  19. I've just released a new version of PsarcConverter (a tool for converting PSARC charts into OpenSongChart format for use in ChartPlayer). It can be downloaded here: https://github.com/mikeoliphant/PsarcConverter/releases/latest
  20. Yeah - it might not end up in the user interface, but I can put it in a file you can edit. I'll look into that. I probably just need to do a better job of catching errors.
  21. You need to click "Options" and specify the path to your converted song files. I should add an error message or something to make this more clear.
  22. Good suggestion. I'd actually been planning on improving the vocal display to highlight the current vocal, and I'll make that change as well.
  23. I think they are all free (at least to try)? The different versions of Cakewalk are confusing. The version I tried that worked is this one: https://www.cakewalk.com/next Reaper has an unrestricted free trial (apart from a startup nag screen), and the window resizing works fine there.
  24. I just tried both versions of Cakewalk - resizing works fine in "Cakewalk Next", but not in "Cakewalk Sonar". Given that it works in other DAWs, it might just be an issue with Cakewalk Sonar.
  25. Yeah - something is going wrong in Cakewalk. It works in Reaper. I'll try to figure out what is happening in Cakewalk. You *should* be able to use the RS cable in your DAW. A dedicated audio interface would be better, though. I'm using the spectrum from a FFT.
