Supposedly Guitar Pro can do this, but I don't know about TuxGuitar. It may be something you have to do manually.

just need to make a new track with the right tuning and THEN Paste the copy of the notes onto it...

For eg Make 4 string - Desired Tuning... For EG BEAD and then COPY/PASTE the BEADG AKA 5 String Notes onto it then... 

______________ Tuxguitar is Shit at Transposing, The moment u change number of strings, it resets the tuning for the entire instrument... really just shit results follow...

couple free AV programs gave false positives a couple years ago when i tried, if i remember right it was probably Avira & Avast...

Technically yes it could be doable, not sure how easy it would be to read it though

 

But in a more simpler way, i would write one hand on the 2 lowest string and the other one of the 2 highest string of the guitar and by using a weird tuning you could easily get something with at least 6 octaves or so. Not sure how a piano part would actually look like on the highway though but it's always worth a try :)

A Test I Did a while back when I realised my 80s Yamaha Synth Works perfect in "Bass Guitar" mode in-game...

Played using 80s Yamaha PortaSound Synthesiser (PSS 290)

Using dual Tones : BASS PICKED + BASS SYNTH for most realistic sound + Same In-game Tone as i like to use with my Yamaha RBX270 4-String BASS...

Curious for more... Ideally all Charted to a single String / Color / Colour...

I've already worked it out for cello.  I just lack any music that is written for the instrument.

 

Tuning:  

E-4=C

A-2=G

D-0=D

G+2=A

Set the core frequency to 880 in the RSCT track and it should be ready to go, assuming the tuning was set correctly in the EOF Chart.

 

For Viola, use the exact same tuning modifications, and set the core frequency to 1760.

Finally We can try to get APOCALYPTICA - CLDC happening :)   ---  For Example :)

sorry if u had responded to this old request already from years ago... i don't recall reading a response on why we shouldn't be allowed to paste text... also showing the character limit would be great... trying to eye-ball it and occasionally getting 1-2 letters cut off from the end gets annoying...

I Actually Enjoy Most of the music which didn't make it to the album way more then the "New Shit" lol

also u can use the other difficulties for temporarily importing tabs before just selecting what you need/want to copy paste from it...

clear canvas that way and you can just Ctrl+A  to highlight all and then Delete unnecessary notes fast...

And you'll probably want to set Time Signatures manually instead of importing...

Ctrl + Shift + S ... Will probably help save some time...

I was using it for a while recently but just got GP6 working again since it really does save time with saving useful tunings + transposing successfully in GP just felt allot easier to me... TUX tries to reset the tuning whenever you change # of Strings for example which makes it hard when you can't even choose which string to get rid off etc and the transposing never worked for me.

for eg I had the issue ...Going from 5/6 String Bass and trying to prepare a 4 string file... for importing in EoF...

It might be easier for you to import one section at a time (from individual .GP5 files) and Set BPM for each section as you move along...

but yeah Agreed it's always nice to have backups....

I Try to backup the 1500 Songs I Have for eg...

But yeah it would be nice to be able to bulk download again if something did happen...
