I found out that it's the power in my building.

 

the same intense noise started again last night when i had my schecter hellraiser and the rocksmith cable plugged into the ABY box.  then i unplugged the power from my laptop and the noise completely stopped.  

 

verified its the same if 2 amps and not the laptop is plugged in...

 

some other issue entirely :/ have no idea how to fix it.  Going to have to do some intense research.

 

I generally try to play on clean too, but sometimes i like to lie to myself ;)

If the sections aern't marked at all then you wont get far...

Also using Audacity to record your sound input while you use a Recording of a previous RS performance for timing / notes... It'll have no effects though unless you have pedals...

Using a Y splitter to run your bass or guitar to a practise amp + Rocksmith at the same time is pretty good...

I dare say it helped allot with not trying to play Acoustically when it's meant to be electric :P

we used to have to actually install Wwise + follow steps in it to convert the audio...

but now the toolkit handles that... although you probably still need it installed...

don't quote me there though... i still have it installed so i can't confirm 100%

 

personally I Tend to use Audacity (FREE) to convert to WAV + adjust max vol without clipping...

sometimes i have bothered to do create leading silence in audacity, but mostly i just do it in EoF...

3 Sec is my min usually... some people prefer more...

If it's an ambient fade intro you might not even need any...

I've been working through LaceyB's bass customs tutorial (https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B-Jas3sMyFUbcWxwN0tUdXA0V28) but, as of this time it is not complete. I was wondering if anyone else had gone through her process and then went on to complete a working custom?

 Beginning from where the tutorial leaves off I've been able to generate a working custom using only the Custom Toolkit but, my song preview and lyrics weren't in the finished song.

I'd be very grateful for any help at all. Thanks.

 

THE LYRICS are just a .XML file that gets imported into the toolkit before or after you add the notes...

for Tones it's suggested to import them beforehand so you don't forget them...

Cherub Rock = Default for most people DLC ID

Song Preview is auto unless you want a specific 30 sec part of the song that isn't the start...

I am planning on making lots of cdlc upcoming but some of the ones I want to do are already made. Seeing as how I am obviously dumb and don't know where the appropriate threads are discussing this sort of thing can someone shine some light on me.

 

I do not have any intentions on taking their material for I would start mine from scratch. I just want to know the rules on duplicates since I remember I had done one long ago and there was some sort of issue even in the slightest.

Don't even try making a live recording of any of the official dlc though....

WHat if you don't use the toolkit?  Last time I used it it deleted alot my songs, so i dont want ot use it again.  even if I back up my files. that thing is a piece of garbage to me.  But I'd like to install the tons.. I unzipped them to my RS folder... will that work?

Confusing as to why you would try this since...

you would already find all these under "Authentic Tones" in-game...

if you actually have the DLC, rs2012 import etc...

Ew "Parkway Drive" = Ew!!! to me...

try using a hi fo filter before the effects to clean up the signal maybe if that helps maybe...

Just tried out Phase Shift & Rock Band 3 for the first time this week, and i have to say Phase Shift is pretty fun, it'll run on laptops with little GPU Power and doesn't require a PS3 etc... the Drum Note Samples seem a bit meh... but the Quality of some of the Gojira Customs i got for it for eg are amazing... :)

it seems there is a program to convert between them... RB3 <-> Phase Shift etc...

BTW if u have any of the Rock Band Drums check out this program to use them outside of the normal context...

it even has support for custom .WAV Audio files as Samples :)

if u have the patience, you could use audacity and try to capture your favourite drum sounds and then record a cover in this program... yeah it can record too :)

Also Pedal Mods seem vital for anyone using the stock plastic RB1 Kick Pedal... even RB2's pedal having metal doesn't make it more accurate in-game + barely gets closer to a real thing...

i'm very keen to get custom pedals :)

if u can use Audacity for eg to play just 1 note on loop using a tuner app on an android phone (for eg) might already give you a better idea of Hz and thus use this chart to figure out the note...

you probably want to practise with multitrack files...

well it was earlier this week i realised i was still using rstoolkit-2.7.1.0-86e68021-win

:) i kinda just stayed on it since i never had a problem that i couldn't resolve...

 

for example i had some issues with album art (filenames maybe?) if it came up sometimes i'd just use paint to save it as a .png instead of a jpg which seemed to be the only format i used to get the issue on...
