  1. Ubisoft won't support custom for one simple reason, copyright content. You actually have to possessed the right of the music you used. It will be a legal messe for Ubisoft to manage all the customs and assuring that none of them go against intellectual propriety. Of course they could make an open place and delete upon legal action but how do you want to make a deal with artist and label if most of their songs are already available in a non-legal way that you support. No one will make a deal with ubisoft to get their songs on the game if they think that Ubisoft help copyright infrigement by supporting customs.

Ubisoft allow customs to exist because taking action will be useless and costly for a minimal result, but they can't support custom without killing all their business opportunities.

  2. At first sight, it doesn't seems that they have sync problem (maybe some notes are a bit off but not quite sure with just one play).

For Ennemy Within, not much to say. Some notes doesn't sounds right but the quiet tone doesn't really help to find out if it just me that is off or the chart. The last note is wrong, or at least should have a slide even if i'm pretty sure it's not a 24 on the high e string.

For Nemesis, a lot of slides throw me off since they are quite wrong. Except that, the chart seems quite right.

For both, you might want to use shorter sustains it could be quite confusing sometimes.

If you need more details or help don't hesitate!

  3. For Knockin on Heaven's door, you are playing the lead guitar which is composed of arpegios of the actual chords that people use when writing txt tab or doing youtube lessons. The thing is that RS have a weird way of indicating this if you are not playing at 100% difficulty.

Playing the Rythm part on RS will be (almost) the same as what you can see on most of the tabs.

RS is useless concerning music theory, it might give you some little thing here and there but that's not is goal.

  5. It is the way i work on my on custom since it's easier to compare the notes on EOF with the video of Rocksmith face to face than to remember what was wrong and when and how but it's probably not a good idea only for the tester but it sure ease the discussion beetwen the tester and the creator since you can clearly show what's wrong. But has i said, it just an idea because i work like that, it might not be applicable or usefull here!

I will look into this list anyway and sent my feedback to you.

  6. @@kilrath :

1-Download the latest version of the rocksmith toolkit here.

    2-unpack it anywhere you want

    3-lunch the RocksmithToolkitGUI.exe

    4-click on the "Packer/Unpacker" tab

5-choose the DLC you bought in the "App ID Updater" (it should be Cherub Rock by default)

    6-click on choose DLC

7-choose the CDLC you want to update with the new App ID

    Should work.

    @@Rumrunner24

If you haven't purchased any official DLC, the CDLC won't work with an official version of Rocksmith (Cherub Rock was available with all the preorder). You should at least buy one DLC to get the CDLC to work.

  7. It was just an idea, for my video review, i play first to record without really paying attention to detail, just to see if the all song seems right, then i edit the video and take a look at a lot of frame to look at every detail and sometimes i see things i would have missed will playing, so both seems important in the end.

  8. Hi! Since i've started to do some video review on my own, i think it would be great if i help you testing custom.

But i did not really understand how you works and if you have any guide line in testing.

In my opinion, playing the song help see some issue but most of the problem are more easy to see with a video playthrough, so why not just record one time each part and let all the tester look at the video to get their own opinion. it could be much more quicker than wait for everybody to play the custom.

    But i'm just saying :)

All this just to say that you can count on me for testing some CDLC!
