  1. You draged the note instead of adjusting the beat marker (the --> in EOF).

When you drag note, they don't resnap to the grid automatically and even if they did, it could lead to some note getting erased when they are on the same spot.

You should never drag the note to get in sync with the songs but always drag the beat marker it will automatically keep the note right on the spot.

  2. Easier for the guy that download it. If you just download it, it should be the latest version you don't have to spot the difference since it is supposed to be replaced anyway in the DLC folder. you don't care to know which version it is, as long as you have the last one, which is the one you can download in almost no time and just drop it in your DLC folder.

  3. The toolkit use this convention :

    Artist-name_Song-name_vX_extension

It is easier to keep this as a naming convention that going around make changes that are useless

But i'm still against keeping the version part since it is easier to just copy and replace the old file if they have the same name than to check which one is the last one.

  4. It might depend on the version used for the DD creation, i have never seen this on my custom while using the last version of DDC but i've seen it in older custom that might have used an older version of DDC. If someone try to recreate the DD on the file and see if the problem is still there, it could clear that up.

  5. It's Rocksmith inherent recognition problem and nothing seems to be get past this problem (maybe active pickup might do the trick but it has still to be verified). I will see if i can managed on some songs to change it to a standard tuning without loosing much note.

At least the chart is available and even if RS does not recognize what you are playing, it is still playable without taking in consideration the score.

  6. I create a lot of vocals part at the moment and i think EOF could really be upgraded on this part with one little tweak.

The fact the the phrases (the blue part that indicate a line in rocksmith) doesn't move with the actual text, so every time you move lyrics you have to remark every phrases which is really annoying. The solution i was thinking of is to attach the start and the end of a phrases to an actual text so that if the text move, the phrase move in the same way.

I don't know if it's easy to add in EOF but it will surely make vocals edit much easier.

  7. You can change the volume of the songs in Rocksmith option to adjust but it will be always the same in all the songs which could make the guitar too loud in some songs or you will have to adjust it for every song and this is a pain in the ass. I think it is important to say this to the author of the custom so that he is aware of this and adjust it if necessary, not everybody play with the same mix paramaters in rocksmith and some aren't bother when they don't ear the guitar, the author adjust it with his own settings in rocksmith and it's own perception.

And if you don't want to change the settings in rocksmith you still can change it with the rocksmith custom tool kit to adjust it.

  8. By doing that you are going to have a lot of problem since your beat map (the line on the background of EOF and Rocksmith) will be out of sync with the actual note and could lead to some major issue with Section and phrase (and DD) and creat some glitches for the hand position.

  9. Ubisoft won't support custom for one simple reason, copyright content. You actually have to possessed the right of the music you used. It will be a legal messe for Ubisoft to manage all the customs and assuring that none of them go against intellectual propriety. Of course they could make an open place and delete upon legal action but how do you want to make a deal with artist and label if most of their songs are already available in a non-legal way that you support. No one will make a deal with ubisoft to get their songs on the game if they think that Ubisoft help copyright infrigement by supporting customs.

Ubisoft allow customs to exist because taking action will be useless and costly for a minimal result, but they can't support custom without killing all their business opportunities.

  10. At first sight, it doesn't seems that they have sync problem (maybe some notes are a bit off but not quite sure with just one play).

For Ennemy Within, not much to say. Some notes doesn't sounds right but the quiet tone doesn't really help to find out if it just me that is off or the chart. The last note is wrong, or at least should have a slide even if i'm pretty sure it's not a 24 on the high e string.

For Nemesis, a lot of slides throw me off since they are quite wrong. Except that, the chart seems quite right.

For both, you might want to use shorter sustains it could be quite confusing sometimes.

If you need more details or help don't hesitate!

  11. For Knockin on Heaven's door, you are playing the lead guitar which is composed of arpegios of the actual chords that people use when writing txt tab or doing youtube lessons. The thing is that RS have a weird way of indicating this if you are not playing at 100% difficulty.

Playing the Rythm part on RS will be (almost) the same as what you can see on most of the tabs.

RS is useless concerning music theory, it might give you some little thing here and there but that's not is goal.

  13. It is the way i work on my on custom since it's easier to compare the notes on EOF with the video of Rocksmith face to face than to remember what was wrong and when and how but it's probably not a good idea only for the tester but it sure ease the discussion beetwen the tester and the creator since you can clearly show what's wrong. But has i said, it just an idea because i work like that, it might not be applicable or usefull here!

I will look into this list anyway and sent my feedback to you.

  14. @@kilrath :

1-Download the latest version of the rocksmith toolkit here.

    2-unpack it anywhere you want

    3-lunch the RocksmithToolkitGUI.exe

    4-click on the "Packer/Unpacker" tab

5-choose the DLC you bought in the "App ID Updater" (it should be Cherub Rock by default)

    6-click on choose DLC

7-choose the CDLC you want to update with the new App ID

    Should work.

    @@Rumrunner24

If you haven't purchased any official DLC, the CDLC won't work with an official version of Rocksmith (Cherub Rock was available with all the preorder). You should at least buy one DLC to get the CDLC to work.
