-Dead End
-Deliver Us
More will be updated but i didn't take time to check it. So please any feedback, good or bad, will be helpfull!
-
Will do the update today asap! And thanks for finding this!
-
I will update mine during the day but some author might not know about this and telling them might be good.
-
I'm not a bass player so i can't test it myself, but i will gladly link to the solution once it's working, just keep me posted!
-
Will do for the already finished songs, for the new one, i will try but don't promise anything since it will be much harder to keep track of everything.

Some people wanted to know how to record Rocksmith 2014 with some recording software. I'm using bandicam myself for all my recording and since some people we're asking in the chat, i've decided to create a tutorial about it. I'm sorry that this tutorial is only for windows user (don't know MAC OS enough) at the moment.
1.Required Software
Obiously you'll need Rocksmith 2014 and bandicam
Note that Bandicam in is free version will only include a watermark at the top of the video but no time limitation like fraps for exemple.
2.Rocksmith 2014 Settings
You have to turn off the audio exclusivity of Rocksmith 2014 to allow bandicam to record the sounds of your PC.
In Rocksmith : Tools ("space" on PC) => Options => Audio settings => Audio Exclusivity => Off (it's on by default)
Once you've done that everything is ready in rocksmith!
3.Windows Settings
Here is the trick, you need to set some parameters on your audio device to be able to record the sound.
You need to setup the quality of your audio device, right clik on the speaker icon and choose Playback Device, then right click on the speaker you use while playing (will probably be your default one which has a check mark) and choose Propriety.
Go to the "Advanced Statistique" tab and choose the "16bits, 48000 Hz (DVD quality)" for the audio format and that's all here.
4. Bandicam
Once you've installed it, launch it!
Go to the video tab => click on the "settings" button in the recording part
Check the record sound and make sure that you're primary source is the "WASAPI" which is what you ear on your speaker then click "OK"
Click on the other settings button
For the video part, you probably want to choose the full scale, and depending on your free hard drive space, the FPS and quality settings, it's not really important but will impact the final quality of the video obviously.
For the audio part, be sure tu choose 48000Hz for the frequency.
5.Recording
You've already done the hardest part. The launch order between RS and Bandicam is not important but be sure that after both are launch, click on "target", and "DirectX/OpenGL window", then click on the "choose your target" and simply go back to rocksmith by clicking on it on your taskbar. If you've done it right by going back to the bandicam window you should see instead of "choose your target" the Rocksmith information.
Then you just have to use the hotkey (F12 by default) to start recording and again to stop.
If you have any correction or feedaback don't hesitate, it's just a start and adding some screenshot is on my to-do list!

I found this problem sometimes too during testing my own song when i ussualy past the 80% bar, sometimes it just doesn't recognized anything and i fall under 40/30% but it just come and goes sometimes, it's not really clear why and since it's not that frequent, i don't really care about it.
-
Guitar allow you because the recognition algorithm pick up what comes from the cable, not what happen after tone modification ingame but if only guitarist can play bassist part...
It's become clearer and clearer that RS algorithm is at is limit with a B0 note and everything lower but it's at the frequency of ~30hz which is very low (at the edge of the human ear recognition).

Since In Flames mostly play on C Drop Bb, i will only lost open and 1st fret on the E string, it isn't much and it might not be horrible to remplace it with an open or 1st fret on A or D string.
I also had a tab with a E standard on bass, and it wasn't horrible so it might also be an alternative to transpose everything and it's not a problem for me.
So i will look into it during next week.
-
I only place a tempo at the start (most of the time by using the estimation fonction of EOF), then i only drag around the beat marker and the BPM adapt, it's easier and allow more flexibility in my opinion.

For the bass, Rocksmith have some recognition problem down to B tunning. Doesn't seems to be any solution for the moment.

There is already some tutorial and great piece of information here and the request thread is here. But there is also a research fonction that you can use ;)
The tone that you create might never seems right because the guitar/bass play a big part in what it will sounds like, and by using the already existing tone in rocksmith and CDLC, if you can't find something that come close to what you want you might never find it.

Sounds of a playground fading available, there is still some little problem especially in the rythm part but you still can work on this ugly solo full of tapping!
Won't be able to work this weekend but Where the Dead Ships Dwell is already in progress so it will be available on monday night and maybe even The Quiet Place depending on the quality of tab and complexity of the beat map.
If anyone wants to make a playthrough and have the video put in the record, you just have to ask i would love to see how some of you can master some complex songs like Moonshield or The Jester Race!
Ho! and still no answer from any bassist so i repost the question just in case :
Are you able to play correctly in C standard?
just to know if it worth the try to get all the Drop Bb in C standard for the bass part which will allow me to minimize the loss.

After playing the lead part here is my feedback :
Shorter section, inside the riff repeater we have to wait during some long no guitar part.
There is one slide starting from the 12th fret on the high E that is not correct. The phrases of the lyrics are off.

Finnaly finished Moonshield.
Also finished Deliver Us (with a big solo improvement) and artifacts of the black rain.
Coming later tonight : Sounds of a Playground Fading (it will be pretty awesome! :-P )
And add Varmlandsvisan to the request list obviously...

Hum.. looking at this tutorial, i'm pretty sure it will fucked up a lot of songs and i don't really understand what you mean even when i have already created some customs, so for a perfect beginner...
-Songsterr doesn't require registering to download tab
-"Do not use Real Bass 22" why? i always use it when i need to create a bonus arrangement and everything works fine.
-Why always add 3 seconds for leading silence, if the chart doesn't start too fast adding 3 seconds is useless and sometimes even 3 seconds might seems short to be prepared.
-The first beat marker could be after the beginning of the waveform, it doesn't matter because EOF will ask to create new beat marker evenly spaced at the start.
-i absolutely don't understand what you actually want me to do for the sync part, the first phrases make me fall since it's what nobody should ever do and the following is incomprehensible for a beginner.
-
There is already a topic for tones request in the workshop section for those who are asking, sharing tones is a good idea but keeping the first post up to date with all the tones could be way better than letting everyone throw their tones around.

How do i create an arpegio without dsplaying the entire chord at the start of the arpegios like the way it is on this screenshot :
http://uppix.net/WXGtsGl.png
The handshape is displayed, but at the start of the arpegio the actual chord isn't displayed and the name isn't too and i can't find a way to recreate this under EOF.
For the tapping section i was actually positiong the FHP to the lower fret and EOF or Rocksmith (i don't know which one change it) automatically do the rest, but this way it doesn't add the biggest blue bar at each end.

Quick question for the bass player : Are you able to play correctly in C standard?
just to know if it worth the try to get all the Drop Bb in C standard for the bass part which will allow me to minimize the loss.

Finished Jotun and Episode 666.
I have encountered some problem during the creation of the DD for moonshield which mean it won't be finished right now.
Started to chart Sounds of a Playground Fading but it might take more time than anticipated in the first place, won't be up untill the end of the week
Still working on Artifacts of the Black Rain and Deliver US.

They have the information somewhere since RS use them but windows can't seem to exploit them by himself (and it's probably the same for mac).
i have a good idea while writing this, creating a program to act like a library to put them in RS or deleting them and keeping them up to date, so no problem with the way people name it the program should be able to get the information that RS use, sort them as you wish (kind of like in the CDLC database but for your own DLC folder). I'm not actually able to make this by myself but i think it would pretty cool to have this kind of tool.

For the posterity of doing the exact same percentage with just a couple of notes more for the streak :
And a better upgrade for the rythm :
And a perfect for the bass :
That was a great day!
