  1. There is already some tutorial and great piece of information here and the request thread is here. But there is also a research fonction that you can use ;)

The tone that you create might never seems right because the guitar/bass play a big part in what it will sounds like, and by using the already existing tone in rocksmith and CDLC, if you can't find something that come close to what you want you might never find it.

  2. Sounds of a playground fading available, there is still some little problem especially in the rythm part but you still can work on this ugly solo full of tapping!

Won't be able to work this weekend but Where the Dead Ships Dwell is already in progress so it will be available on monday night and maybe even The Quiet Place depending on the quality of tab and complexity of the beat map.

If anyone wants to make a playthrough and have the video put in the record, you just have to ask i would love to see how some of you can master some complex songs like Moonshield or The Jester Race!

Ho! and still no answer from any bassist so i repost the question just in case :

Are you able to play correctly in C standard?

just to know if it worth the try to get all the Drop Bb in C standard for the bass part which will allow me to minimize the loss.

  3. After playing the lead part here is my feedback :

Shorter section, inside the riff repeater we have to wait during some long no guitar part.

There is one slide starting from the 12th fret on the high E that is not correct. The phrases of the lyrics are off.

  4. Finnaly finished Moonshield.

Also finished Deliver Us (with a big solo improvement) and artifacts of the black rain.

Coming later tonight : Sounds of a Playground Fading (it will be pretty awesome! :-P )

And add Varmlandsvisan to the request list obviously...

  5. Hum.. looking at this tutorial, i'm pretty sure it will fucked up a lot of songs and i don't really understand what you mean even when i have already created some customs, so for a perfect beginner...

-Songsterr doesn't require registering to download tab

-"Do not use Real Bass 22" why? i always use it when i need to create a bonus arrangement and everything works fine.

-Why always add 3 seconds for leading silence, if the chart doesn't start too fast adding 3 seconds is useless and sometimes even 3 seconds might seems short to be prepared.

-The first beat marker could be after the beginning of the waveform, it doesn't matter because EOF will ask to create new beat marker evenly spaced at the start.

-i absolutely don't understand what you actually want me to do for the sync part, the first phrases make me fall since it's what nobody should ever do and the following is incomprehensible for a beginner.

  6. How do i create an arpegio without dsplaying the entire chord at the start of the arpegios like the way it is on this screenshot :

    http://uppix.net/WXGtsGl.png

The handshape is displayed, but at the start of the arpegio the actual chord isn't displayed and the name isn't too and i can't find a way to recreate this under EOF.

For the tapping section i was actually positiong the FHP to the lower fret and EOF or Rocksmith (i don't know which one change it) automatically do the rest, but this way it doesn't add the biggest blue bar at each end.

  7. Quick question for the bass player : Are you able to play correctly in C standard?

just to know if it worth the try to get all the Drop Bb in C standard for the bass part which will allow me to minimize the loss.

  8. Finished Jotun and Episode 666.

I have encountered some problem during the creation of the DD for moonshield which mean it won't be finished right now.

Started to chart Sounds of a Playground Fading but it might take more time than anticipated in the first place, won't be up untill the end of the week

Still working on Artifacts of the Black Rain and Deliver US.

  9. They have the information somewhere since RS use them but windows can't seem to exploit them by himself (and it's probably the same for mac).

i have a good idea while writing this, creating a program to act like a library to put them in RS or deleting them and keeping them up to date, so no problem with the way people name it the program should be able to get the information that RS use, sort them as you wish (kind of like in the CDLC database but for your own DLC folder). I'm not actually able to make this by myself but i think it would pretty cool to have this kind of tool.

  10. You draged the note instead of adjusting the beat marker (the --> in EOF).

When you drag note, they don't resnap to the grid automatically and even if they did, it could lead to some note getting erased when they are on the same spot.

You should never drag the note to get in sync with the songs but always drag the beat marker it will automatically keep the note right on the spot.

  11. Easier for the guy that download it. If you just download it, it should be the latest version you don't have to spot the difference since it is supposed to be replaced anyway in the DLC folder. you don't care to know which version it is, as long as you have the last one, which is the one you can download in almost no time and just drop it in your DLC folder.

  12. The toolkit use this convention :

    Artist-name_Song-name_vX_extension

It is easier to keep this as a naming convention that going around make changes that are useless

But i'm still against keeping the version part since it is easier to just copy and replace the old file if they have the same name than to check which one is the last one.

  13. It might depend on the version used for the DD creation, i have never seen this on my custom while using the last version of DDC but i've seen it in older custom that might have used an older version of DDC. If someone try to recreate the DD on the file and see if the problem is still there, it could clear that up.

  14. It's Rocksmith inherent recognition problem and nothing seems to be get past this problem (maybe active pickup might do the trick but it has still to be verified). I will see if i can managed on some songs to change it to a standard tuning without loosing much note.

At least the chart is available and even if RS does not recognize what you are playing, it is still playable without taking in consideration the score.

  15. I create a lot of vocals part at the moment and i think EOF could really be upgraded on this part with one little tweak.

The fact the the phrases (the blue part that indicate a line in rocksmith) doesn't move with the actual text, so every time you move lyrics you have to remark every phrases which is really annoying. The solution i was thinking of is to attach the start and the end of a phrases to an actual text so that if the text move, the phrase move in the same way.

I don't know if it's easy to add in EOF but it will surely make vocals edit much easier.

  16. You can change the volume of the songs in Rocksmith option to adjust but it will be always the same in all the songs which could make the guitar too loud in some songs or you will have to adjust it for every song and this is a pain in the ass. I think it is important to say this to the author of the custom so that he is aware of this and adjust it if necessary, not everybody play with the same mix paramaters in rocksmith and some aren't bother when they don't ear the guitar, the author adjust it with his own settings in rocksmith and it's own perception.

And if you don't want to change the settings in rocksmith you still can change it with the rocksmith custom tool kit to adjust it.

  17. By doing that you are going to have a lot of problem since your beat map (the line on the background of EOF and Rocksmith) will be out of sync with the actual note and could lead to some major issue with Section and phrase (and DD) and creat some glitches for the hand position.
