  1. Never heard of this being a pandemic level issue.

Did you muck with the latency buffers?  If you set that too low symptoms like you are describing can occur.  Buffers should be left to default unless you have a beastly computer,  If your computer can't keep up at the stock latency you could increase the buffer value but that will increase the Audio delay.

I would be looking at drivers, CPU/GPU temps and utilization and things of that nature if you haven't made any game config changes.  You are going to need to be a bit more specific with whats's happening for people to help.  Like does just the sound go slo-mo or do you drop frames too?  All songs or just customs?  Rough idea on you CPU specs would help a bit too.

There is a good troubleshooting FAQ on the official RS site that may hold the key to your issue.

  2. I totally get what they were going for but I just don't think it works well in practice.  The horizontal scroll probably plays better in a way on a smaller screen... too much neck work to read the notes on a big screen.

  3. Anyone else get suckered into that bad boy?  Or better yet anyone like it?

My girl got it for me for xmas.  I played it for 20 minutes and haven't touched it since.  They force you to play Jesse's girl for bass right off the bat.  I was like sweet I shall crush this knowing i have a 99% on RS.... bah ha ha was I wrong.

The way the colors change on the notes just crushed my brain.  So you can have 2 "3"s right next to each other and they can be a completely different color based on which finger you are supposed to using to fret it.  Just makes a mish mash of skittles in my head anytime there are multiple position moves

  4. Just a thought.  Anyone looked into converting the GAWD awful RB PRO content?  Would seem to be a beautiful phoenix that could rise from that epic travashamockery of a turd burger. Some good songs in there just a calamity of poor execution.

Sorry if I seem hostile... I have a $300 Rock BAND Fender squire and cable setup that yes you can "play" through an amp. The five plastic strips that separate each and every fret into 6 mini-frets really don't enhance the tonal quality per say.  Would seem that the content could likely be distilled into something usable though?

  5. Lol I play RS with my amps.  A couple months ago picked up a Pevey VYPR VIP-3 for guitars and a Fender Rumble 150w combo for Bass.  The Pevey is nice with all the built in effects and emulated AMP/Heads.  Would recommend that in a heartbeat for anyone looking to do a nice Y-slitter setup for a few hundred... it does bass too but the 15"woofer on the fender does bump way more.

  6. Any bass players have a working solution for playing like Drop B , B standard , etc in RS?  Not interested in emulating on a guitar or other methods of "fooling" the game.

Literally about to run to Guitar Center and impulse buy in about 30 minutes.  I have a 24 fret Ibanez 4 string SDGR I love.  Debating the 5 string of the same make or a Baritone bass.  Just wondering if anyone is actually playing (and working right) with one of these and any input on which would be a better solution

  7. Do you tune by RS or a separate tuner?  I find I get a way better result if I tune using a snark or other real tuner especially in lower turnings. Also if you are not already mute all the other strings (especially if you are using the RS tuner) that are not being tuned.  I find I get weird harmonic anomalies that will give me false (slightly ) sharp reads if I don't mute the others.  The "calibrate" feature helps a bunch too.  PC even has an override for those levels if you are not happy with what the game decides.

I play bass so my suggestions may or may not be helpful to you.  My guitarist friend has exclaimed on multiple occasions that there are a handful of specific chords/songs that have poor recognition.
