  1. Finally got the time to play some guitar again today.

    Some first runs

    Lazy Bass

    Some bass first ;P

    Rules For Fools

Tankard! I actually met those guys in person on Wacken Open Air in '09 (i think).

Awesome guys and they can totally drink more beer than i can handle ;D

    Lazy RHythm

    Lazy Lead

    Yeah, awesome songs.

Seems it will be a Lazy week ;P

Love Deep Purple so im really looking forward to nail that song in all 3 parts.

    cheers guys!

  2. A little start into the new week.

Man Who Sold the World Bass

    The Crowing Bass

Those two are awesome. Tried to get 100%, but my hands said no.

    Your White Shirt Bass

This was my first run, without slapping.

So, not really valid i would say ;P

After that i got in a 2hour journey for learning slapping with the bass, and i got it

down fairly quickly. Im just not fast enough yet, so here with slapping:

    Your White Shirt Bass Slapping

And i have to say, man slapping is fun haha ;D

i gave the weird looking japanese boys song a run too.

Seemed fairly easy, beside that weird bridge/chorus-thingy part.

The song itself is ok. Not bad but not really ground breaking either.

    cheers guys!

  3. @@Latsch Mr. Sandman boring? I'd say rather short but enjoyable :D Anyway I think you are still playing the old version I updated a new version yesterday mate ^^

yeah, i do still have the older version of it. I was kinda too lazy to download it yet haha.

While the song itself is really cool, the exciting part of the bass line is way to short ;D

The first time i played it i was like "thats no MC bass line" while i played that first part,

and then HOLY SHIT WHATS THAT in the middle, hahaha.

But nonetheless still kinda easy if you got the hang of it.

  4. @@Latsch do you have the latest version in your dlc folder? I added those notes alongside little fixes when it was selected to the Championship :D Btw mate I really dig in your song selections in the RC as well, seems we have similar musical taste :)

I'll have to check that out later, for now its time to do some work :|

And yeah, i just love older rock/hard rock stuff (and some good Metal in between ;) )

I would have chosen SRV too, but he's sometimes sooo freakin hard to play...(Pride and Joy, Rude Mood etc)

Mary had a Little Lamb is more on the easier side of his songs, so thats really cool.

We definitely need more blues songs on here!

    cheers!

  5. Mary Had A Little Lamb, Lead

Man, this song is one hell of a groovy awesome bluesy fun song ;D

My fingers are flailing about on it, because im not used to play stuff like that.

My first try was like 64%, haha. So much room for improvement though.

Anyone else has the song start about 0.2 secs before the note charting?

It doesnt seem as though it has a impact on the rest of the song, but that start

is throwing me off. Otherwise, really great work @@bernixix

No luck with sync songs this week ;(

    cheers!

  6. did some first runs, great songs this week, except the pantera one for me, havent gotten behind that one.

But i never really listened to pantera much.

So to start with some good ol' Blue Oyster Cult

    Cities on Flame Bass, 95,515

have some work to do on here, the main riff is too sloppy.

And i couldn't help myself to play Anesthesia ;D

    Anesthesia, 70%

This ones awesome! This run was with my fingers, so not that good, tried it with a pick and

    that was the result

    Anesthesia 86,67%

Feels like MC Lead all over just on the bass, haha. Truly a MC song for bass, great pick!

    cheers!

  7.

@@jbroch I dont know if it is my ears, but the bass line in Cities on Flame about halfway through the song where the first chord comes into play is WAYYYYY out of sync. It was hard to understand what was happening..There are also a couple of extra notes through the whole song as well. Hopefully it can be fixed :D

I agree. I thought it was me at first.

I agree too, those chords feel out of place

Could you fix that @@jbroch ?

  8. And here's a playthrough of In The Name Of God!

Having a guitar not designed for metal is becoming a problem haha :D

    And also...like Mike Portnoy used to say: . . - - - - - . - - . - . . . . . . . - - . - . . - . . . . - . - . . . - . . . . .

    Dude! That was awesome!

Great work on that first solo part.

  9. Date Rape Bass, 96,26%

Despite the high score, this doesnt feel like comfortable to play, i'll need some work here.

In the Name of God, 74%

Long-ass song with a low-ass tuning, and a solo which is freaking fast and uses way to many notes above the 22nd fret which i dont have (but doenst really make a difference)... yeaaah.

The song is cool! Love that chord riff where it goes C  -D#-D-C#-   D#-D-C#, but this would be way too much work.

..Its DT, i didnt really expected anything different, Petrucci is just way to good and i suck too hard for that ;D

    Good choice @@Nacholede (sorta...)

    Heretic & Killers

Played this one too, and i'll only have to say NOPE NOPE NOPEDY NOPE!

Dont like that song, dont want to play it ever.

    cheers!

  10. Just took a quick look in here, cause there was no time over the weekend/easter stuff, and noticed

the discussion about the long songs, and wanted to give my 2 cents.

For me personally, long songs are no problem in itself, although i was a bit skeptical about this weeks DT-Song

after a already 10min song of metallica last week.

I think there shouldn't be a succession of long songs after another, and, after i just (only) watched @@xDatBoiSOBLE 's video

theres alot of crazy Petrucci stuff going on, which is just impossible to learn in only one week.

So my suggestion would be no 10min+ songs two weeks in a row and maybe (depends on song) more than one week.

Because i can definitely say, even right now, i will fuck up that DT song hard, and theres no point in playing a song

if you cant learn it decently.

well, thats it for me. I hope i will post some scores later that day!

    cheers!
