i love how all the responses to this comes from europe and 5 bucks says you are all mac users as well.

I dont see how having a mac would change anything.

Just curious as to whether anyone knows of a good similar pedal that works for bass. Really tired of having to change turnings.
The Whammy DT works fine with Bass ( only tried Eb for now ) so the Digitech Droptune will do the job as well.

Please stop using mediafire to upload songs. Many browsers and isps are blocking mediafire links. As a result, many people including myself are not able to download songs that have been posted. Please take this into consideration when uploading new music.
Thank you in advance.

My advice would be to not sell your guitar. Keep her like you would an ex girlfriend - ex sex can be very useful. ;)

I don't have it but it surely one of the best out there since it uses the same system as the Digitech Drop pedal which is one of the best pitch pedal you can find.
I can confirm that the pedal works great with Rocksmith , just a click of the switch to play Eb , D , C or G , just need to alter the Motley Crue Kickstart My Heart DLC so that it includes the notes at the beginning so I can use the whammy.
The only problem I have with the pedal is although it changes the pitch you still hear the actual guitar playing so it can be a little off putting sometimes unless you turn the volume right up.

When did you get a account here?

Be sure to check tests on the web as there was some changes in the Yamaha philosophy too since i bough everything.
2nd hand is a good idea, if you've got the possibility it may be a better choice to buy it in a pawn shop or something similar (it's easier to return it in case of problems, maybe not as easy with Ebay).
Since moving to the country , 2nd hand shops are thin on the ground but thanks for the advice

THX certified system are great for computer speakers.
as for hifi system the best way is to LISTEN BEFORE YOU BUY or at least read some tests on the web.
Wow what an informative post. Thanks , i was looking at a similar Yamaha on ebay. Lots to think about now :)

I'm going to upgrade my setup so I get better\louder soud from Rocksmith.
I not sure wether to get a dedicated PC surroud soud unit or a decent hifi amp & speakers and using the line out socket on my PC , or maybe an amp with spdif input.
What setup do you have ? Can you reccomend a surroud sound uit , amp or type of setup that sounds good. I'm currently using crappy moitor speakers.

It'll always be the DLC that wins :
http://www.youtubemultiplier.com/5676bac69a0bb-cdlc-versus-dlc-kickstart-my-heart.php
the DLC is a bit late but if you keep only the audio of one of both video it's cool enough to do a quick comparison.
Thats awesome , thanks. And your right the DLC wins

The Cult and Guns N' Roses
Good call. Slash made me pick up my first guitar
Rocksmith made me get a bass

Can anybody who has played both the cdlc & dlc of kickstart my heart give a comparison of the two

Thanks to all the makers. I'd rather donate because my failed attempt at making these kicked my ass haha. Keep playing!
Don't beat yourself up about it. Read up on it and start again. I highly recommend learning to chart not only coz it's boosts the numbers but for me I've learnt way more music and playing the guitar by charting than if I just played the game. Seriously give it another go I insist :D

I've got access to pro tabs as I have UG on my phone and in my experience you only get what is already listed. You only get tab pro if a gp file is also listed , if no gp file then you just get text tabs. No benefit having it whatsoever unless you dont have software that reads gp files or want something on a mobile device.

Aside from the whole quality discussion that doesn't have any place here.
Do you know why some posts have been removed from this thread ? Have I broken a rule ?
This topic is about separating bass CDLC from guitar CDLC, not quality. You can always create another topic if you want to discuss the subject but anymore dicussion about CDLC quality will be deleted.
No Worries, I'll go and sit on the naughty step for a bit and reflect on my actions

You can filter CDLC to only display CDLC that contain the part you want to play which can be really helpful when trying to see if a song is available.
The CF manager app can also help you arrange your CDLC library in many ways and if you're not found of the app, then you can always manage your CDLC with folders and put them in and out when you want to in some minimum amount of time.

While your on the subject of guitar/bass differences - I personally think you shouldn't be able to get the Magna Charter title unless your cdlc have the following if applicable.
- 1 Guitar & 1 Bass track
- Lyrics
- Riff Repeater & DD
- Custom tones
May not be a popular opinion and i'm not singling anyone out but I think Magna Charter should only be bestowed on charters who produce cdlc that are good enough to be actual dlc's. Don't get me wrong i'm not knocking anyone who produces cdlc without the above points but it's innacurate to be labelled a magna charter if you do. Maybe Mediocre Charter or Casual Charter would be more suitable :P :P :D
So their sync can suck, their chart can suck, their album art be poorly chosen, and they may not have a 3 or 4 second lead in, but as long as they have the 4 things you mentioned about, they aren't mediocre, but magna?
See the problem with such criteria? ;)
Also, it's not inaccurate to label them as such if the current criteria does not require it. (Full disclosure: I specifically asked not to be a magna charter because I like my name being in blue (see LaceyB on the left) rather than green.)
Anyway, this bird has flown. We're 18 months in and have magna charters with two customs who didn't even ask to be made a magna charter.
And we obviously don't need to segregate bass vs guitar customs any more than we already do since it is obvious to anyone which is which in the database, and the renamer function in the CF Song Manager can now rename your customs including the arrangements (thanks to the devs for implementing my suggestion).
Those 4 points were just a starter, obviously quality would definitely be an issue but as you say this bird has flown so it's just a moot point.
You definitely look better in blue .
Totally agree with the segregation issue , if you want to be a Bass or Guitar Nazi the song manager is perfect for this. Personally I seperate into genre albeit only 3 - Punk , RnR and Everything else

Has any one here got the Digitech Whammy DT and recommend it ?

I would take the old strings off first , then clean
The fingerboard in that post is disgusting! I thought mine were bad but they're nothing compared to that! I tend to wash my hands before playing so I don't mess it up too much but I change strings every month and I always give a full clean at the same time.
I should probably wash my hands before playing. I've had the same strings on for over a year , is that bad?
Should I make customs?

Thats a big yes from me. Not only does it expand the database but I find it very useful when learning guitar.
