  1. I'm planning to throw some proper pick ups on a Tele with basswood body and string through body. Maybe Seymour Duncan or Di Marzios, I want a Tele sound, really good for cleans, I already got 2 electrics with humbuckers so I'm looking for pure sound, maybe push pull ready.

It seems that Quarter Pounds are to hot,  looking for vintage twang tone :)

  2. So, I installed a bunch of CDLCs, and bought Cherub Rock so that I wouldn't have to worry about changing IDs or anything.

And today I bought Bachsmith and the Duran Duran pack, and the Duran Duran songs still show up with the lock icon in the song list, and the songs I bought aren't selectable.  When I go to the shop, they still show up as "for sale".

When I right-click the game in Steam, and go to the DLC tab, it shows the new songs and packs, with "Not Installed" on the rightmost column.

so what do I have to do to get this working again?

I had the same issue. I unchecked everything except backsmith (wich was as not installed), I ran RS without every dlc, I kinda freak because as I didnt have cherub rock there was complete absence of customs  lol

Then I checked everything at dlc and it did re download every offcial dlc I had including the RS1 import.

  3. I've never played a Samick guitar before...so I can't speak to the quality.  But if you're talking $320 USD, then for just a little less you can get a Squier Standard Tele, or for a little more a Squier Custom Vibe 50's Tele; both have Duncan Designed pickups.  The CV is an especially nice guitar for the money.

I think korean samicks should be much better than a chinese made new Squires, also that model cost more than 500 usd over here wich is insane for a squire.

  4. Anyone had a chance to play or own one of this 90s korean made guitars?

I always wanted a maple fingerboard guitar and there's a nice Telecaster sell on the local auction pages, hes asking 320 dollars for her, I know it might seem really expensive for you guys but where I live everything is more expensive.

I know its not a heavy metal kind of guitar but I wanted something with a different flavor and it also has a Seymour Duncan Hot rails on the bridge so it might get heavy with that pick up.

  5. Suarez should be banned from professional football for life imo. That may seem extreme to some but this is the third time he's done this. The man is a disgrace.

He has issues. I think he needs professional help.

I don't agree that he should be banned for life, he is one of the best of the world football "attackers" :P

  6.

I think the latest version of Metallica Damage Inc v14510 could have destroyed my save file

Thx for report, first test did cause save file corrupt. Played 5 songs pack, so have to test one more time it alone, then confirmed. Testing more Tomorrow...

Hi lahelio, did you had a chance to test that custom alone? Its the only custom I added when save file broke. I think that a custom alone does not corrupt save profiles, I think its when there are other customs, the guy who did this custom said it works fine for him and hes friends, so he and hes friends don't have the same customs as I do. Maybe this is not an isolated issue with a specific custom but when this customs has other x custom on the dlc folder.

  7. If you're using Windows 7:

Right-click on Remote folder (with your RS saves) and try "restore previous version" (or sth like that, I don't have english windows). You should see previous versions of that folder. You can't restore it, but you can open the folder and copy your save file. It fortunately worked for me today.

And yes, I did not selected any restore thingy on my windows 7 (Technically I can't restore the file, but I can open it, see it, copy it's content - it works the same, so I don't know what's the difference).

I ´ve already tried that, it says that there are no previous versions available.

I do have system protection enabled for the drive where the file is, C:.

I guess Im screwed big time.

Rocksmith is a lot of fun and addictive for me but its good to go back to the basics, no computer, just a guitar and amp, doing scale runs and just playing whatever you want, jamming.

I developed a dependency for the computer to play guitar and also was playing a lot of time music created by others and just play what I'm told to. I has been a great journey but its ended for now, might come back in the future for sure, almost sure, dont know how long :P

The most important thing is that my skills have been greatly improved thanks to this amazing tool. Now its time to put all that doing my own music.

Bye guys, it´s been a pleasure

  8. I'm sorry to hear that, piepesado, I know it sucks. Every time I play it still annoys me how much I lost (~350 hours) my first crash.

If your saves from when it was working fine don't work, I don't know what's going on. I know the most recent one (saved after the corruption event occurred) won't work, but if you have saves from a couple sessions ago when it was working fine and THEY don't work, I haven't got a clue. For my second and third crashes the second-most-recent backups always worked, the most recent one never did.

I hope it's not a Ubisoft thing. I set my RS to not automatically update yesterday just in case, though.

Best of luck to you. If it becomes epidemic, we'll know something's going on.

    I have 540hs of playing

I know whats going on, I was backing up a wrong folder, dumb dumb and dumber me

I'm out of this for a while, cant cope to redo everything for the 3rd time, this just cracked my nerves

  9. This has been happening to me for a few weeks now but doesnt really bother me too much as i always play on full difficulty but its a little annoying not been able to see my true previous best, and when i say happening its happening at least 3 times a week and sometimes more than once on the same day. I have 295 songs in my dlc folder so it could be the amount of songs.

    I have 903 customs.

I just created a new profile for the 3rd time. I'm so sick of this crap, I'm getting out of RS for a while.

Will go back old school, just the guitar and amp (which a friend will lend now cause I don't own one now ha). Bye guys.

  10. Ok well...

Just happened to me for the second time, now I got back ups

the only thing I changed was replace Metallica Damage Inc for a newer version

things aren't looking good, I restored two different backups without success

Now my only chance, I got a backup with all the dlcs that I had at that exact time backup, don't know if it will make an difference

Starting everything from scratch for the 3rd time its just insane

Large Dlc folder kills save file, or Ubisoft does it on purpose, if user has dlc count => 500 then destroy.save

yesterday there was an RS update, maybe it got something to do

  11. Up until today, I'd always been using the shitty little practice amp that came with my guitar. (value brand set, about £90 all in)

Now that I'm starting to progress on guitar, I'd been looking for a new amp to have a play about with and see if that helped me at all. Popped into a local store, similar idea to a pawn shop/cash converters store, and noticed a Line6 Spider IV 15w for £39.99.

Needless to say I picked it up and I've fallen head over heels in love with it since I got it home.

I used to have that Line 6 and it was great, In Insane amp mode you can get some crushing metal tones. Also it has a really loud volume for a small amp.
