Sightread first impressions: nice song, though the solos seem too difficult for the difficulty (6,5)

 

After half an hour of riff repeating the solos, i was surprised how my score improved. I did not feel comfortable with the second solo, and the arpeggio at solo #2 needs a lot of work still

Another week facing the monumental challenge of the BASS MC.... Hard for me to keep up in this class! 😅

Just reaching  80+ in a slap intensive song like Rette mich is already an achievement for me!! The excecution suck though! 😂

But I am having fun!

I am having fun playing your song!!! Kind of a german progressive punk-rock song!  

And I find it EXTREMELY COOL you are sharing your band's songs as a CDLC! 

I have my personal fundamentalist theory that actually music is for people who play it, and listening to music is kind of a byproduct.... (Well, that's why I hate DJs and electronic music, but that is another story) 

I think the ultimate act of sharing music is when someone plays the same part in an instrument or sings it. Its like enjoying the music on stage as a member of the band! Even if my exceution is not so good, I still get the whole Idea of the song through the perspective of the bass or guitar player. 

I really wonder if there are other bands making their own CDLCs...

@ fripponomic  Really nice and challenging chart! The only thing I'm wondering about is the bass tone in this CDLC. The one you used is hard to hear (I even turned the music down to 30%). It's hard when I can't hear what I'm playing. 😉

Not black metal, but rather melodic death metal, something like In Flames or Amorphis, which we played here several times. 😉

What? Oh - yeah... well i've never gotten behind that differentiation there, probably i'm too ignorant. When it comes to songs like those i use to judge genre by voice, and that one is a black-metally one. 

It was always a point of somewhat unsatisfying discussions... But i come from easier, ancient times there. Dark Funeral - Black, Canibal Corpse - Death. Everything between...... mostly cool music 😉

 

@ albatross213  is a true expert there - he did a great job many years ago in creating a very detailed genre topic for the bands with available CDLCs here, with all the new proggy subgenres and stuff, i'd go and search for it if anyone is interested.
