Hi guys, have any of you tried RS on PS4? It's said that the only viable option is to use optical output on PS4 and I have no idea of its latency. It's sad they don't have any demo to try this cuz the cost is much higher than Steam version in Russia. If any of you tried both versions I want you to share your experience here.

PC latency is noticeable, but really low imo.

Hey there. I bought Rocksmith 2014 for PS4 and played it for a few days. I'd say it was a less satisfying experience than the PC version, which I have now bought. There's was some noticeable latency on the PS4 but I'm confident I didn't have it set up the best way, however. Having now moved to the PC version, I'd say that the extra flexibility (content and updates) that you get and no noticeable latency (depending on the specs of your machine of course) mean that the PC version is a better bet despite the fact you have a PS4. My advice would be to use the PS4 for straight gaming and stick with the PC version for Rocksmith because any potential extra costs (as you suggest in Russia) of purchase will be outweighed by the extra benefits. Also consider that running it on a laptop means you're ultimately portable and don't need to tie up the use of a TV in the house. Hope that helps

According to certain reviews, the latency generally is better than on ps3. Unfortunately analog output doesnt seem to be an option as the console doesnt have such a plug, so optical is your best bet. Overall I am disappointed because of the price of € 80, which I think is ridiculus. Also all DLC needs to be bought again if you didnt own the PS3 version and there are no custom songs obviously. Also apparently you cannot even post videos of you playing on youtube due to licensing issues, which was the final nail in the coffin for me.

Just my 2 cents.
