  1. Wish i had more time to play this week. I love this song. Actually had a 94% on lead but did not do a screen capture. Never made it up there again and now i have to go back to work. :-P

  3. I think the originals were done with wallpaper. Fender did the telecasters as a joke in the late 60's and they caught on. If you can get an original, i know they are worth big bucks. There is one on e-bay for $12,000 if you have some extra cash just laying around.

  4. Taking the songs one at a time this week. Hope i find the time. I really like all three songs this week. Well here is the first one. Hope i can match @ scores on the other ones. I guess the Bass battle is on again this week. Good scores all.

  5. Here are my Bass scores for the week. Hope to get a chance to play guitar as i really like that Wolfmother song. Reminds me of Jack White. My baby son was born last Saturday, is health and doing great.  That is why i did not play last week. Good to see you all again.

  7. I thought of one thing that could be happening. When you first pluck the string, the sound can be a bit sharper or flatter than as the string resonates. With the tuner in in Rocksmith this appears to be more exaggerated than with a normal tuner. So, if you are tuning while the string is resonating you actually end up tuning a bit flat. In standard tuning this does not seem to affect the game that much, but in dropped tuning RS seems to be a bit pickier. The way to get around this is to continually pick the string as you tune. I hope this helps.

  8. I have always been a bit afraid of fast song, like most Iron maiden. But i guess its time for me to grab the bull by the horns.

My old (pre custonsforge) results for the trooper was at a whooping 33% completion.  My first try now got me 67% and my second is this:

@ Keep up the good work with the Championship. We lots of people that love what you do.

Great Job. I know that some times it is difficult to see how much we are progressing when learning to play. Times like this shows that all that hard work is paying off. Keep it up.

  9. @@acorlett2005 I am sorry you feel that way please message me the names of these "moderators", I will see what happened there. No one should ever be made to feel that way in this community.

Thank you for your concern Krazyone. Its not that big of a deal. I was upset when it happed, but i am over it now. I know now just to stay away from chat. I have met alot of great people on here that are truley supportive of everyones music development. I wont let a few boneheads ruin that for me. This is a great community and all the people who work hard to keep this going should be commended.

  10. I was having difficulty posting the screen caps for this weeks challenge. I thought I would try out chat and see if anyone had any suggestions on how to help me. They treated me like shit in there. Basically called me a complete idiot for not knowing a website. If these were just casual users, I would have been able to let it slide, but I looked up their profile and saw they were moderators. Beginning to think this is not a community that I want to be a part of.

Anyway, here is the link (not the picture) of my bass results for this week. Don’t think I will be doing guitar.

  11. I went with an Agile 2000 from rondomusic.com. I just love it. It is made in Korea and is better than any Epiphone i have ever played. Only cost about $225. Check them out. You wont have the Gibson name on it, but from what i have seen, the quality is better and you wont have to worry about any legal problems.

  12. I had to do this before in the past. It is actually really easy. This is what i did.

1-filled the pin holes with wood filler.

2-(drill press works the best) find the right size bit, and when you are drilling, hold the neck firm, but let the bit find the hole. It will naturally want to center on the previous hole on its own.

3-put all the machine heads in and line them up on the back side with a strait edge and some clamps.

4- when they are all lined up put some pressure on the back of each machine head. This will put little dimples to mark the pin holes.

5- Mark the drill bit with some tape at the proper depth, and drill the holes.

    Hope this helps.
