i only realized now that i'm playing a different version of beelzeboss. but i see you guys discussing about tones and in my version i feel like every tone is quite the fit (the one by BHMath). What do you guys think? anyway i posted the score cause it was fun nevertheless :P love the D and this made me want to rewatch the movie :D

score for mc lead. it looks easy, but for some reason i make a lot of mistakes in it. although it could be because i lose focus and start singin along (takin care of business...) :P

i'm gonna post scores for the rest later on, loving the tenacious d track btw (always been a fan)

Plopper score, plopper streak but slightly better accuracy in the widdley bit :) I like that widdley bit.

how did you manage with the recognition of the 3s? i still can't get around it :(

I swapped bass'  :) My Jazz copy has passive pick ups but my Cirrus has active ones, that's all I can put it down to tbh. the strings are a tad thinner on the Cirrus too so maybe it's an ambient sound thing causing the lack of recognition. With the Cirrus I had no problems with the 3's, just a little problem from transitioning from the 7th on bottom E to the 3rd on D fast enough after the hammer on at the widdley bit... but I like the widdley bit so working on smoothing out the kinks in that :)

an active pickup would do the trick, i'm pretty sure that helped a lot with the recognition. and yes, the widdley bit is quite fun :P good work!

alright, gave it another try and now i'm not getting misses on the 0s anymore, but i'm having trouble with the 3s (fuck). i'll try as @ said and use light pressure and pressing a little higher on the fret. But i'm going to do that later, because this score right here was incredibly painful to reach: a mosquito sat on my right arm during the whole 8 minutes and i had to resist scratching my arm.. i assure, it was quite the torture xD now my right arm is full with mosquito bites.

  5. Going to be hard to put a good score for "Advanced: Devin Townsend - Deadhead". Because it keeps missing fret number 3 on the E string.

    Any solutions?

i have encountered the same problem with the 0s on the E string. But usually the 3s are recognized. I think you should play around with the tuning of the string, making it a little bit lower so that when you pluck it the note actually gets recognized. Try to use RR and play with the string until the recognition works. I don't know what else could be done, apart from trying a different set of strings or a different instrument. unfortunately, C tuning is a very low one, so this might be related to your instrument not being able to withstand the "lowness" of the string and therefore giving a flappy sound. let me know if you can get it to work! now i'm gonna try and do the same

very fun song to play, although i have much work to do. those chords are completely new to me, so i'll have to learn to play them by memory (yay, learning new things!). also, i think i'm doing something horribly wrong during the only-chords part: my thumb hurts a lot after this one. have to try and impose a good position on my left hand.

  7. is there a list of all the songs used in the championship til now? i was looking for it but the only document i found was a bit hard to understand.

i don't know if it has already been proposed, but i was thinking i would really love to have you guys playing Luminol by Steven Wilson (http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/luminol-r8052)

it's awesome to play on bass and the guitar track, although not present throughout the whole song, is quite fun to play as well.. i think it could fit on the Advanced level for both instruments. What do you think?

  8. so fun! gotta get used to switching on this big frets but what an enjoyable song to play

  9. I think they rubbed off me a little

But then I was like "wait...I want to have the first RECORDED 99% run"

Dunno how much that can improve though...I only have 22 frets on my bass, and there's some 23's in the solo, one including a bend.

Hopefully I can get one more run in with the final streak...depends on how good that bird guy wants to be....
