I hope not. It'll just mean you have to buy the new game to play the dlc that is specific for that game then. Essentially a money-grabber. Big turn off to me.

How about: 'Country', 'Rap', 'Pop', 'Rock', 'Metal', 'Hardcore', 'Classical', 'Jazz'.... etc. The basics. Nothing that simplified and in a 'dropbox' manner. You could even add 'Unknown' or 'None'

This essentially already exists with the TAGS while creating the CDLC. I put the band name, then, southern metal, alternative metal, whatever, in there.

 

Yes, but not everyone puts the genre in this and then only a fraction of those people will search for a genre in the 'Search'. It's a rather minor flaw... but it'd be nice nevertheless if there was a category in the search where it could group all of the songs together based on genre. But there is also a perhaps major flaw with that too, as the current 4,600 cdlcs would have to be assigned a genre manually.

Could be nice add a genre tag on the cdlc search. It will help the players that want other bands in your repertory, based on the music style he likes

I think maybe you have to go to the 'Shop' and look for it in the list and download it from there. That's what I had to do for ps3. I bought this pack and it wouldn't show up for me yesterday because Uplay was offline.

Kinda off the Acoustic part, but for anything regarding learning finger placement, I would recommend Sympathy by Rare Bird in the cdlc library. Simple and nicely paced.

Playing alot of Led Zeppelin lately. I've been getting good with the riffs. I also tend to play alot of the cdlcs that I create.

We just went over 4000 songs earlier today. 1000 CDLC in one month goal,,, achieved.

Awh damn, we've gotta exclude the 74 'officials' put up by CustomsForge. So when it says '4,074'... We can celebrate!

I've got one, it's almost complete....except for a four-measure section (which comes back a few times) where whoever tabbed it must have thrown his hands up in despair. What they hell ARE those chords?

 

I also really hate it when they place the solos on a separate track -- as if people actually listen to GP files for pleasure --  but that's easy enough to fix.

Separate solos are a pain. I've had a couple incidences where the Lead was in a key of something other than E Standard and the Rhythm will be in E Standard. Then the solo will be completely separate, but it'll be in E Standard, so I have to put it in the Rhythm section. It's also a double negative, because then there might be a gap in the lead section for the solo, but I can't import the solo because of the key difference.

I've tabbed a whole bass part for a song. It really does suck. One other complaint, I may as well add, about guitar pro tabs is that some tabs will be missing a series or single repeat and it really pisses me off.

Hey Guys, Thanx for the awesome site.  I'm having the same issues i'm on a mac i can get the customs on my game but once i try to play it just freezes it doesn't matter what cdlc i try it just will not freaking work.. Please Help

For a mac, you have to make sure that you put files that end with 'm_psarc' into your dlc folder. I'd estimate that about 80% of the songs that are in the library are strictly 'p_psarc' files. You can convert the 'p_psarc' files to 'm_psarc' files using the latest version of the Toolkit. :)
