  1. Glad some of you are enjoying Hail the Sun. I find the song really fun even if I struggle with parts. The chords are probably the hardest parts because they use rare chords, which makes the rhythm really tough, but once you get the chords down it's not bad. I got into the band when I unlocked 8-Ball in game. The guitarist that plays the lead part, Shane Gann, actually works on the game, transcribing songs and also creating the difficulty levels, so that's how one of their other songs made it officially in the game as a bonus song.

@ The Japanese truly do make some of the weirdest things, but the first song has some really nice bass, second song has nice bass and guitar for sure hah.

  2. Honored to have my chart picked! I know the song might be tough for some of you in terms of style/genre and not actual difficulty haha, but I've fallen in love with the post-hardcore genre the last year haha. I find the songs on the progressive side a lot of fun to play once you get over the learning curve some of them have. My ratings might have been a bit low because I had been playing the song a lot when I posted so I was getting quite good at it x3.

  3. @@Blazikiller Thanks you very much for your great video of playthrough! I found for yourself something useful in video, and yet it added me motivation for try to more better. In future, Please, great players, posting your video playthrough (prefered with hands) for us, it is big motivation and helpful for techniques .

I practiced with this bass line every day 2-3 hours in row and have not can good pass in place where is fast shifting and scale up of 3 notes (3-5-th frets), can not got 99%, now it posible, thanks.

No problem! I'd do a video showing my hands if I had a camera for it for sure.

  4. I don't really have "guilty pleasures" in my music listening. I take my influences in my own songs from everywhere and I love a wide variety of bands, even though I'm into all sorts of stuff. In my iTunes you'll find stuff from classic metal like Sabbath and Priest, to a variety of jazz, to metalcore, then some classic punk like Bad Religion, The Clash. Then some progressive metal. All sorts of acoustic artists and alt rock. Death Metal, Grunge, some hip-hop/rap, classical, and my current gems post-hardcore and melodic hardcore which I find are so beautiful and moving.

  5. I'm out for few hours. So to sum up:

    All posted scores are valid.

Only official dlc RATM scores will be accepted.

New song for Int lead and MC bass is Muse - Bliss.

You don't have to play Muse song if you played RATM already.

So how will it work in competition if some us play RATM and some others play Muse, and some of us play both? How will that get organized to determine winners?
  6. Sorry other MC Bassists~

Idk if  it's different for others, but I give the chart about a 7. It's not to hard to learn and pretty repetitive with some fills, and some things in the chart are not "wrong", but they're played a bit differently, such as uhh it's hard to explain. Theres a couple times when you're in the main hook near the end such as when Rocha is yelling "F**k you I won't do what you tell me" where the bass riff just changes up a bit by playing E, F, G on the D string, rather than the F, G, and C on the low D and A. Still a good chart, but that could spike the difficulty a bit by changing the repetitiveness. And always a fun song to play regardless. Definitely will be trying the guitar arrangements for it sometime this week.

  7. Just added this to one of my FCPREMIX custom and I think it's working well! Appropriate settings in-game for volume are to turn your guitar volume to 100, the music volume to 0 or maybe about 5 -10 if you really want, but the point is to play on your own! And the metronome seems to be attached to the Sound Effects volume, so turn that up. I was confused for a minute because I wasn't hearing the metronome and didn't realize I had my sound effects turned down.

  8. Very easy, but extremely boring haha. Less than 200 notes in a 6 minute song, but the guitar is brutal! Good luck to the guitarists attempting it.

Very easy, but very fun as Ramones and other bands like them always are.

Gonna skip Devin Townsend for now, will play it if I feel like downtuning my bass.

First try at Maiden, fun song and fairly basic Maiden, but the solo is tough and will take some practice.

  9. Tried the E Standard bass songs, and Walk this Way is a pretty fun songs, just small mistakes for the last couple runs. If I keep persistent I'm sure I can ace it, but that's for another night. Also did Lay Down since my guitar was already in Eb Standard and it's quite a fun song, but having some trouble with the G#5 power chords for some reason.
