  1. Steve Earle Copperhead Road Version 2

    Updates:

    * I took Terry's advice and reworked the Main Lead Arrangement, I'm glad I did.. it is wonderful now. Tuning song volume to  ( -2 ) was perfect..

    * After Rick helped me with a GP6 file by converting it to GP5, I was able to cut a portion out of that file and put it into the Lead Arrangement.

    * Tweaked a few tings and everything looks and sounds much better.  Please check it out for me and let me know what you think.

    William.

    Hi, William

I am still, after all these years on rocksmith and dealing with CDLC's - not understanding the Bonus arrangements and how to bring them up. I figure I'm missing a lot of cool stuff. I just don't know where they are at or how to get to them.

You gotta play the Lead Bonus Mandolin arrangement, I wasn't going to Release it until I figured out how to this track to work, thanks to PC Plum it's in there.  Now you're in the Main Lead screen, all you have to do is click play to start the game, but wait!..Now before you click play to enter the game scroll down ( arrow down ) and hightlight "Bonus Lead Arrangement" or it will have 2 LEAD one under another and you highlight the one you want to play and ENTER.

  3. Thanks for all the Advice Terry, and yes I noticed me doing the same thing on rhythm, it gets redundant after a minute and my A.D.D kicks in..I have one another Tab for this song (.gpx), just picked up GP6, already have GP5. Can I make the .gpx into a .gp5? so I can look at the arrangements and import them into my current EOF project? I haven't had the time to play around with it yet.

  4.

    2) I always sync in GoPlayAlong, for me the easies and best way . If you buy the full version (about15€) GPA can export the synced file which you can import in EOF. Then you have nothing to sync there and all notes are perfect in place.

Haven't used it yet, but I purchased it for $20, I think there is going to be a time were this tool will help tremendously.

  5. Hi, Guys

I have been working on Hey Jude, and finally think I am getting somewhere with the Lead and Rhythm Paths. When I added the Capo to the 1st fret in EOF it shifted all the chords up a fret, I had to change the chord positions again, but missed some. I have to run through it again and straighten them out. But I know I am on the right track finally. If anyone wants to give it a try here's a link to it. The Beatles - Hey Jude V4.5.

    Later, Terry

I gotta say I really enjoyed playing this, and I am not a huge Beatles fan but that was fun. First off I Accidentally downloaded the NO DD version, so that's the one I tested.

Played great, I noticed nothing wrong but I was focusing on the notes and Hit 85% on Rhythm and Lead..Woohoo!

     * The Capo was easy to tune and sounded great with the tones ( can I borrow those        tones? )  :)

  7. Playing a mandolin part on a guitar is always going to be difficult.  Choosing this as your first custom is going to be even harder :D

    I suggest:

    - Import the .gp5 mandolin track onto a bass track in EoF (this will cause less hassle with turnings and extra strings)

    - In EoF, copy and paste the notes onto a guitar track (it will work fine I've done this many times)

    - Just use E Standard guitar tuning for the arrangement

    Ok, Giving this a shot..

    UPDATE:

It worked! You are a GOD D*MN GENIUS PC PLUM! Posting it to the workshop as soon as I can get the proper tone, I used Matchbox 20 3.am Acoustic tone, played it, but it sounds horrible.

  8. It may make things simpler to go into "Track>Rocksmith>Arrangement type" and change it to something besides bass, at least then the default tuning of 0 0 0 0 0 0 will be treated as the standard E tuning of EADGBe.

    http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c286/Ripcord32/Mandolin%20Tuning%20Help%2002.jpg

It was Set at COMBO, I Changed to LEAD, SAVE, GENERATE,

Loaded and tried to tune my guitar to the point of strings breaking they were so tight.

It seems to me that I might need to drop all the notes down two strings,

Maybe Instead of ZERO's on string 1 and 2, I move notes and place ZERO's in 5 and 6?

I have a bonus Arrangement I am doing I am doing for my first custom, It is a mandolin and Vital to the song.

The Tab had it at ( 4 String ) so I change it to ( 6 String ), Placed in some Zero's on string 1 and 2.

Built the .psarc Loaded up and tried again to TUNE to GDAEBE  with no luck.

I tried to change tuning in the SONG CREATOR by Editing Arrangement and rebuilding to E STANDARD, Drop D with no luck.

    http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c286/Ripcord32/Mandolin_Tuning_Help_01.jpg

What can I do in Order for this Bonus Arrangement to Tune and play on a regular acoustic or electric Guitar?

  10. I was going to suggest you watch the vid from 27.40 - 31.20 and 34.55 - 35.02, but reading your post properly it seems that you have.

I can only imagine that you are pointing the toolkit to the wrong audio file, maybe the .wav instead of the .wem?

TBH I don't think that tutorial is "great" - don't get me wrong its good but I'd definitely do things far more tidy.  You only need to set up one Wwise project and stick it in its own folder, then you don't have folders full of crap getting dumped on your pc every time you convert a song and you don't have to erase stuff every time you convert either.

Set up one Wwise project folder for all conversion, set up a shortcut to the folder where Wwise dumps the .wems and then it's just one click to find them and no erasing excess folders after every conversion.

    I am going to suggest

    - Try again and make sure you are pointing to a .wem and not a .wav

    - Get EoF to create your preview music and convert that manually before trying to build (this can get a bit complex so feel free to ask more specific questions)

    - Move the project folder off the desktop (dunno, but I have a feeling it may be messing with things)

    - Listen to the advice of cosy1 if he should appear - I am no expert in deciphering toolkit error messages

If you can zip up your project files and post them I can have a better look.

Edit - is it possible that you are pointing to the audio when it should be the album art, and then vice versa?

I notice the folder name in the toolkit pic is called "Mp3 and Tab" in the line which should point to album art.

It was Wwise and EOF Configuration errors as You Mentioned in the Above, I started over, followed this tutorial http://customsforge.com/topic/1922-how-to-make-pc-cdlcs-for-rocksmith-2014-tutorial-wscreenshots-by-darjusz/?p=8918  and was able to build..Thank you for your troubleshooting and response.

*As for tones I downloaded the RS2014 TONES from our site, used Matchbox 20 and R.E.M, thanks for the Heads up.

    *I played all 4 arrangements (3 + Bonus)

*I could not tune the Guitars on the BONUS arrangement which is a Mandolin and I used the Matchbox 20 - Unwell Banjo tone from  the official DLC, I don't understand why I'm unable to tune in GDAEBE on an electric acoustic or my Squire telecaster.

*Lead arrangement has problems on the bends only But the REM_Shiny tone sounds good.

So I have some work to do, but was able to get past this issue thanks to all of you, I'm gonna work on it tonight.
