No, it doesn't need the 2 original files, once it loads them from existing RS files, it moves songs around (in two separate collections which are modified accordingly) and they are never deleted, they are either in Entries or DisabledSongs "tabs" in songs.hsan file. (JSON) And it makes backups if they don't exist, so you don't have to worry.

I literally copied the way it disables songs from SM, so they will be compatible...:P

It would be awesome if I could add it to SM, so we'd have an all-in-one solution, but I don't think that we want to risk having problems with Ubi..

  2. Hi,

I just tested it on a Virtual Machine, and it worked, but it didn't recognize the files with extension _m.psarc for the Mac version of Rocksmith. Althought I could rename it, organize my playlists, and then rename it back, it would be a very time consuming task.

So, to help the ones in the same situation as I am, I have a suggestion:

When the songs are loaded, you could consider all the file name endings (_p.psarc, _m.psarc, ...), and load them all. This could duplicate the song, for example, if there are both pc and mac files are in the folder (this situation happens for the official dlc, where both files are downloaded).

I don't think it would be a big problem, cause I can just ignore the ones ending in _p.psarc, and for the Windows users it would still be the same. The better solution would be considering both files as one song only, and everything I do with it is applied to both files (enable, disable, add to playlist, ...), but maybe this would be trickier to implement.

My first impression is that it's a great tool, very easy to use, and it would help me a lot.

    Congratulations guys!

Hey, thanks a lot for testing our app!

I think that I will try to port it to Mac using Mono or I will simply replace all "_p." suffixes with "_m"..That would be an easier option,  but I think that all Mac users don't have a VM, so I'll try to make "Mono-ed" version as soon as possible. :)

    Thanks again!

    Edit:

    Okay, VM version: http://www.mediafire.com/download/d2gs6fpfytf98fo/RSRoadieMacVersion_1.0.0.rar

I'm not sure how to use 7zip (or p7zip in that case) on Mac, because I don't own one, so if you could help me with that, I'd appriciate it. (Tell me if there's any version like that which doesn't have a GUI-> console/terminal version, etc.)

You don't have to convince me on Java - I've been a Java dev for 15+ years  :)  I love doing side projects, but I am trying to figure out if I have time to devote to it right now.

What do you think about me coding the app in C# (already started) and then you porting it to Java + making a cool GUI. I mean, it wouldn't take you as much time as making an app from scratch, but you'd still be doing a nice side project.   :)

(I already started making it and I'm going to talk with Unleashed.)

    Why not use Mono? http://www.mono-project.com/

I'd like to use WPF, so someone who's good with GUI desinging can make a nice GUI, but Mono doesn't support WPF. I could use WinForms, too, but I think that WPF is better for more complex GUIs...

  6. @Unleashed2k

Considering that there wasn't much info about the official manager, I started working on my version of it,

    http://i.imgur.com/3TkPJ16.png

(basic GUI, I'll probably work on it later)

I'm going to add/have added features like:

    -CDLC list(basic info + preview)

    -CDLC editor(basic info, again + tone + ...)

-CDLC updater(gotta figure out how exactly Iginition works, so I can make a proper HttpRequest, another option is WebBrowser (log in, input text in the textbox, press the button, get results, etc., but I think that it would be too slow)

    -CDLC page(pretty obvious)

    -CDLC renamer(something like Drakken's renamer)

-some other features which I can't think of right now

The main problem is that it's based on C# and WPF(I'm noobie when it comes to WPF, but the project is based around it, because it seems that it's better for making GUIs and it's quite possible that someone on CF knows how to use WPF and he/she would be able to make a better GUI for it)

It seems that Microsoft is porting .Net to OS X/Linux, but I'm not sure if they will port WPF(or/and the whole client part of .Net)..So it would probably be better to use Java instead..but I haven't used it in years, so I will, most likely, make a C# and then someone might port it to Java, if it will be any good.

I hope you are able to understand me, my sentences are usually (and therefore more complicated) longer than they should be..

  7. I tested the US600 and it works great! Yesterday I played in E, Eb and D with just rotating a knob in the pedal.

For 35 euros, it seems to be a very good pedal..What do you think, will it break that so easily, as some of reviews say?

And have you tried to play in a lower tunning and does it lag and/or create weird sounds which aren't "understandable" to Rocksmith?

    Thanks!
