Just a dude who started using Rocksmith 2014 to learn to play guitar in December of 2021... From scratch... I had 2 lessons when I was 12 years old... I'm 45 now so you do the math... I knew nothing, I could play nothing, I was only capable of making horrific noise... I had been learning to play the drums prior to that and I enjoyed it but it never did for me what Guitars do... I learned a good bit from learning the drums, also without lessons... I'm an autodidact in most things that I do... I have to learn my way or it simply won't happen... That's why guitar lessons when I was younger was doomed to fail... Put an acoustic guitar in my hands and it does absolutely nothing for me... I don't care for the sound of it for the most part... Don't prefer the type of music that's played with it... Give me an electric guitar and a song that I can fly with and that's my happy place... Playing along with the music that I love is literally the only place I've ever found true peace and happiness in my life... Playing a guitar is the one place I will always prefer to be over all others.
