  1. Best way to start is to adjust volume of the mp3 right from the start in Audacity, in such way that the isolated top and bottom peaks of the wave form touch the window border. Some rare peaks (5-10%) may overide the borders, but not too many, because sound gets deteriorated, specially the heights. Check this with headphones.

From that on, you have a constant volume parameter on which you can rely to adjust the volume in RS as recommended above.

Tone adjustment depend on their gain/presence in the amp/pedals/cabinets adjustments.

Mostly the values lie under 25, for bass even under 20.

If your song has a lot of low fret / low string notes, make it louder.

If it has more hi-string/high frets, make it lower.

It may even be useful to use two different tones, for high and low notes, which are exactly the same, except for the volume.

However every tone that tends to be acoustic needs a lot more volume up to 40.

Thanks for this, I'll give it a shot.  I'll have to figure out audacity now.   I don't have any problems with the tone volume just the song.

  2. 1. How do I make a distortion for a song? Right now I'm currently making a full band CDLC for the first time ever using EOF of course. And I'm wondering how I get distortions on this?

An easy way is use Rocksmith Toolkit and "Import Package" on a CDLC (on a p.psarc in your DLC folder) you already have that has close tone.  Double click the tone you want and save it in a folder.  I save mine in RsCustoms\Tones

    2. How do I add sections in EOF? (So you can riff repeat)

Answered above... and also a lot of Tabs already have Sections which EoF can import for you.

    3. How do I add vocals?

    4. Is there an easy way to make difficulty settings? (I want to make Very easy, easy, medium, hard and Amazing of course is the one I'm starting on. But I meant, is there a way to copy and paste my Amazing track into easy, medium etc... so I can just delete a line at a time to make the difficulty easier?)

Already answered... if you chart very very close to being in time rocksmith toolkit DDC tab will do the rest.

    5. Once I've completed this, I got the difficult job of finding out what gear Judas Priest use for their song... I need to know what sort of gear they use, amp, cabinet, pedal, and stuff. How do I find this out? (Besides looking at live shows, I have Sonic songs I want to make a CDLC of that I need to know what gear/BPM and stuff they use)

For tones see above.  For BPM:  http://songbpm.com/ if it's a popular MP3 if not use http://www.all8.com/tools/bpm.htm start the song and tap a key on your keyboard for each beat for a few mins and it will give you avg BPM.

  3. Changing the volume of the guitar tracks is pretty easy in the tone setting, but I can only make the song so much louder and sometime the in game crowd is louder than the track and you can barely hear it.

I've played with the gain settings in Wwise but it doesn't seem to change anything in game.

Am I missing something somewhere?  Most songs are fine but a few are really quiet in game.

  4. I just started charting like a week ago so the problems I have are probably self inflicted, but I don't even understand that warning.  Most of the songs I've charted don't start on the first beat and there's some silence or other noise before the music starts (nobody home for instance with chatting for 18 seconds).

I've been adding 3 seconds of silence and then moving the start of the track to the first beat of actual music.  My problem is this... half the time I pick YES and add beats.   Sometimes that works and sometimes it doesn't.  And what I mean by that is, sometimes when I say YES the music starts x seconds before the notes come down the highway and sometime it works perfectly (not accounting for OP's original problem of whether or not the 1st beat is at the start of the measure.

I've tried every combination of adding silence to the MP3 and GP4 files an it's always inconsistent.
