  1. That tune-o-matic bridge is the wrong way around, the screws should be towards the tail piece as a magnetic screw driver could de-magnetise your bridge pick up. This 'how to' is pretty straight forward too. http://www.gibson-talk.com/forum/es-sential-hollowbodies/15130-gibson-factory-set-up-specs.html I'd sort that bridge though.

You can't demagnetize a pickup with a screwdriver.  A magnetic screwdriver can barely hold on to a tiny little screw.  It won't have any effect on a pickup.

  2. It's not an upgrade.  In fact, version 2.4 is incredibly old.

It's a problem with the Toolkit itself.

Read through the 2nd post in this thread:

    http://customsforge.com/topic/10547-how-to-add-custom-songs-on-mac/

Make sure you uninstall any previous versions of Mono that you have installed and then install the correct version you need for your version of OS X.

Then at the bottom of that post there is a version of the Toolkit that I modified to work.

  3. It's a problem with all the new builds of the Toolkit.  Because Mono is installed in a different directory on El Capitan, the Toolkit can't find it.

I've posted a modified version of an older Toolkit that works in this thread (2nd post on the first page):

    http://customsforge.com/topic/10547-how-to-add-custom-songs-on-mac/

Make sure you have the El Capitan compatible version of Mono installed as well (also in that post).  You'll need to uninstall any previous versions you have first.

  4. Thanks for the answer, quick question though. Will this separate them in game?

No.  There's really no way to separate them in game.  You can use the in-game sorting to group all of the customs together, but they'll get grouped with any other dlc that you have since the game thinks they are dlc.

  5. Here can be the problem, steam is in the default location, but the game is on another hard drive... I cannot put it on the default hard drive because he is to small (128 Gb).

That's the problem.  They both need to be in the default location, which is on your main hard drive.  You'll have to find a way to make room for it.

  6. Hi,

I have installed Rocksmith as said, but when I want to launch RSinjector, nothing happens... I tried to launch RS with steam, I can see the CDLC, the music play, but when I select them the game freeze...

Do I have a wrong version of RSinjector? It was downloaded on the link at the beginning of the topic.

The RSInjector linked in my instructions is the only version that exists.  Did you make sure Steam was open and running before launching RSInjector?

And did you make sure you installed Steam and RS2014 in the default location?

  7.

Thanks. It's the most special milestone i know of. :D  I'm sure you already have, but Weezer also knew of this milestone and decided to give me a nice present by announcing a new album. First 400 get a tri colored vinyl, already gone i think, the next 4000 get a white vinyl. :D

Yeah, I missed out on the tri-coloured vinyl, but I pre-ordered the bundle that comes with the hat and shirt.  They're playing in Toronto on July 6th too so hopefully I can score some tickets next week when they go on sale.

  8. I'll just buy it for 10 Euros on a keysite, don't want to wait for a sale :) Kinguin has it in stock for 10.98, way better than the 29.99 on steam. Is there anything i need to know like importing for RS2014 or will it work automatically?

Thank you for your fast reply, cheers!

I would be careful buying anything from gray market sites like Kinguin.

  9. Hello guys,

im a beginner just like the starter of this thread. Was trying to buy Judas Priest -breaking the law, because the song is epic and obviously easy to learn... But i have no copy of Rocksmith vanilla, i only own 2014, do you know if there is a way to buy it for 2014? Steam doesnt want me to buy it unless i have a Vanilla Rocksmith.

Thanks in advance and for all the good tips, struggling with a lot of titles which seem to be to fast for me.

The only way you can get it is to buy the original RS.  Steam has a policy of not letting users buy DLC for games they don't own, and haven't been able to sort this out for all of the original RS dlc.  This has been a problem since RS2014 came out.

You can buy some of the original dlc without owning RS1, but not much of it.

Your best bet is to wait until RS1 goes on sale.  Steam will be having a Spring sale in a few months (likely mid-March).  If you add the game to your Steam Wishlist you should get a notification when it goes on sale.

  10. @Wepeel  Have you ever tried to run  CDLC Verifier for  Rocksmith® 2014?  It may run on a Mac if you are using Mono but I can't say for sure.  The download to this CLI tool and others is also available by following my signature link.

Thanks for suggesting that tool, but it won't run either.

It's not a big deal though.  I tend to download and add customs a few at a time so that when I run into problems it's easy to figure out which custom is the culprit.

  11. It's likely a conflict with another song.  Try removing all of your customs except those two and see if they work then.

If they work, then you've got another custom (or several) that are causing a conflict.  Add your customs back in small batches until you find the one(s) causing the problem.

  12. After a few tests, whaterver I do in the Compatibility DLC ( diabling only one, or 10, or all ) every single song in this pack disapear in the game.

How many of the dlc in the compatibility pack do you own?  Maybe it has something to do with that....

  13. I'm not in Europe, so I'll take my $5 as well.

Also, I am both a Mac and PC user.  And as far as the internet is concerned, there is no difference between the two operating systems.  Operating system and file structure have no impact on the internet.   Your browser is simply compiling the HTML code it receives from the server.

In fact, most sites are hosted on UNIX based servers.  (Mac is built on UNIX, fyi.  Windows is NT based.)

The problem is with you and your ISP, and/or your router.

Browser, OS, and MediaFire are not the problem.  And location has nothing to do with it either, unless you live in China (which is well-known for censoring the internet).

  14. Is it a legit version purchased through Steam?  If so, try reinstalling, or verifying the integrity of the files.

To verify the integrity of the files:

     - Open Steam

     - Click on "Library"

     - Right-Click on Rocksmith 2014 and select "Properties"

     - Click on the "Local Files" tab

     - Click on "Verify Integrity of Game Cache"

That will force Steam to verify that all files relating to RS2014 downloaded and installed properly.
