  1. Okay, so I play on Mac, my main problem is that when I scroll through Learn a Song some of my CDLC's start to gray out and lose their image (Image replaced by the rocksmith logo). Also, if I close the game and reopen it, they grayed out CDLCs seem to be random If I click on one of these grayed out CDLCS they just disappear. Some of my other CDLCs still have their image, when I click on one of the normal looking ones, it just shows amps and doesn't bring up the highway.

BUT. Two days ago, I downloaded a version of RSinjector from here http://customsforge.com/topic/10547-how-to-add-custom-songs-on-mac/?p=81067 and everything worked perfectly again! I was so stoked to be playing everything again.

BUT that leads to now. I come on CustomsForge, look at the new banner. I think to myself, "Oh, sweet a fix for the 100% bug." Oh boy I was wrong. I deleted the working RSinjector and downloaded the one from http://customsforge.com/topic/33138-rocksmith-remastered-cdlc-fix/?p=231225 and I kicked myself back to the same grayed out problem. Now I'm not entirely sure why this is happening, but it sucks. The thing that confuses me, is how in the hell did I get it to work perfectly for those two days. If you guys have any suggestions please let me know. Thanks!

Both of those versions of RSInjector should be the same (I haven't verified that though).  The one posted in my instructions was taken from @@aequitas and I just posted the link so it was easier to find there.

You might have a problem with conflicting customs.  The Remastered update has clearly changed the way songs are read in the game, and it seems that some of the older methods for creating customs are causing problems.  I've had a few crashes myself, with songs that I know worked fine before the RM update.

  2. CDLC on mac with the new remastered rsinjection if you play all the songs well or badly the result is always 100% ... it needs a fix

If you read the giant red header at the top of every page you'll see that they are well aware of the problem and are trying to find a solution.

There's also a thread dedicated to discussing potential causes of the problem and to track songs that do not jump to 100%.

  3.

CDLC's aren't working for me either.  I've trashed the old RSInjector, installed the new one and launch Steam.  Then I launch the new RSInjector, go through the menus and end up with the amp stacks with no highway after tuning.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you follow all of the instructions from the 2nd post of this thread?

Steam needs to be installed in the default location, as well as Rocksmith.  You also need to own an official DLC (Cherub Rock is recommended as that's the AppID most customs use).  You need to purchase the official DLC from the Steam store so that it is licensed to you.  You can't use pirated DLC.

If you've done all that, it's possible you have a bad custom, or customs that are conflicting with each other.  Remove all of your customs out of the DLC folder and try just 1 (try and pick one that is newer and from an established charter).

  4. Anyone managed to get RocksmithCustomSongToolkit worked in macOS Sierra (10.12)? I have mono 4.6.0 installed correctly (in /usr/local/bin/) but whenever I tried to launch the toolkit, the app icon bounced in the dock for two or three times then disappeared. I'm using the toolkit downloaded from the dropbox link for El Capitan.

It's working for me, with Mono 4.6.  I just installed it today to verify.  I had the problem with the icon bouncing and then disappearing too, but after launching it a few times it eventually opened.

Another user seems to have gotten the new v2.7 of the Toolkit to work on MacOS Sierra so I've messaged them to see if they'll help me get it working for everybody.

But the version of 2.6 that I posted in my instructions has been working for me.    It's possible to have multiple versions of Mono installed at once, so try uninstalling them (you can do it all at once) and then reinstalling 4.6

You can find instructions on how to uninstall Mono here:

    http://www.mono-project.com/docs/about-mono/supported-platforms/osx/

And I downloaded Mono 4.6 from here:

    http://www.mono-project.com/download/

(just in case it's different from where you downloaded it)

  5. The newly released RSInjector still doesn't work with CDLC for Mac (only the official DLCs work)...

It does work, as confirmed by myself and many others.  Make sure you're actually running the new RSInjector (make sure you delete the old one) and that you've got Steam running before you launch it.

  6. Hmm, still not opening as it's meant to. Is the Mono version required always the exact same one for El Capitan? Maybe I have the wrong one somehow.

Here's my configuration settings for RS Injector: http://b3.ms/raNnPzaX9bXP

    RS Injector main screen: http://b3.ms/yYLn70gyMGgZ

    RS Injector conversion screen: http://b3.ms/W1EnJd4b9ZRX

Those screen shots are of the RS Custom Song Toolkit, not RSInjector.

RSInjector is an app that shows the same RS2014 logo as the actual game does (guitar pick with the R).

RSInjector won't open any kind of app on it's own, it just launches RS2014.

  7. works perfectly!  -- but not the RSInjector.app .. when clicked.. it does nothing.

What I did is recompile the app from the source code (thanks for sharing the code BTW)

It wasn't flawless because the SDK used was 10.5 and I am using xcode 7.2.

The simple solution is to download 10.5 SDK, then you are all set! Make sure to set the base sdk to 10.5 rather than the latest which is 10.11 in my case.

I even have a custom folder, a simple symlink does the job.

It pays to be developer sometimes!

Good Job to the dev of RSInjector!!!!

That's weird, because RSInjector works perfectly fine as-is for me, and the version shared in the instructions is posted on my personal dropbox folder (meaning it's the same one I'm using).

Are you sure you're using a proper app to decompress the zip file?  I know a few people in this thread have had that issue.

  8. 1. Yes

    2. Yes - is the RS Injector supposed to automatically launch RS2014 with Steam open? Mine doesn't do that.

    3. Yes.

    4. Yes.

    5. Yes, all from here. This is what my dlc folder looks like: http://b3.ms/BxP9lO4EMkqK - it's notable that the Cherub Rock DLC has a different icon (coloured versus generic).

    6. Yep, tested Mac version of Ob La Di, Ob La Da by The Beatles. Same issue as before.

    7. As pictured previously.

Might it be my version of Mono or the RS Injector?

Mono is only needed for the Toolkit.  Did you use the version of RS Injector posted in my initial instructions?  Yes, it should launch RS2014 automatically.  But only if you installed the Steam and the game in the default locations.

  9. Thanks for the wonderful instructions, which I've followed dilligently.

I've followed everything to convert songs to run on my Mac OS 10.11 (El Capitan), and the CDLC tracks won't play. I notice with my Cherub Rock download that it has a p.psarc as well as m.psarc file in my DLC folder. Should I be retaining the p.psarc files after converting?

The preview for each CDLC I've added to the DLC folder works within Rocksmith 2014, but once I click Enter to play a song, nothing loads up.

    Any thoughts? Thanks so much.

Steam will automatically download both the _p.psarc and _m.psarc versions.  I'm not sure why.  You only need the Mac version, and don't need to keep the PC versions.

Here's some questions to weed out any missed steps and/or to help narrow down the problem.

    1.  Did you install Steam and RS 2014 into the default directory?

    2.  Did you open Steam and make sure it's running before launching RS Injector?

    3.  Did you legitimately purchase Cherub Rock?  You have to purchase it yourself so that the song is licensed to your Steam account

    4.  Did you try rebooting (that helps sometimes)

    5.  Are the songs you're trying to get to work downloaded from here?  If you downloaded a torrent, you should delete all of the customs files and get them from here.  Torrents are usually full of crap or outdated songs.

    6.  Have you tried a song that is already uploaded in Mac format to verify that everything is working?

    7.  How many customs have you downloaded and added to your dlc folder?  There could be a conflict amongst songs.

  10. What is the disc import tool ? how can I do it ?

    Many Thanks,

    Gary

The Disc Import Tool allows you to import all of the in-game songs from RS1 (with the exception of 2 that didn't get relicensed for RS2014).

You can find it in Steam on the RS2014 page.

  11. Hello Everyone... have a macbook with steam on it and of course Rocksmith 2014. Just new to this CDLC thing.

Here is my issue...RSInjector does not open Rocksmith2014. For your information, I am a linux engineer so performing the task explained on the tutorial is quite easy for me.

Here are my facts before starting to make questions about what I did:

    1. followed all the steps well.

1.1 Rocksmith2014 has been purchased from steam. Cherub Rock also has been purchased from steam and shows on the list. I did not play with it but I will after finishing this comment.

    2. downloaded mono, toolkit and worked fine (yes, took some time to start the first time, after that the toolkit opened fast)

2.1 used toolkit to change pc CDLC to mac and seems to work fine, even changed the UID to the

    3. Have a secondary HDD and have the steam games on that HDD, So , yes...did the symlink...('DISCO 2 MAC' is the 2nd HDD)

here is the return of: ls -l on the /Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/

    lrwxr-xr-x  1 root  admin  51 Jun 12 20:59 common -> /Volumes/DISCO 2 MAC/SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/

    4. Downloaded the RSInjector from this tutorial...no output, no Rocksmith2014 start, the process stays running in background (have to kill it)

    5. Downloaded another RSInjector founded on other place (it claims that it could not found Rocksmith2014.app)

    6. I can cd to /Library/Application Support/Steam/SteamApps/common/Rocksmith2014 without problems

    7. made chown (changed the user/group ownership) to the RSInjector but same thing.

    8. The CDLC downloaded are shown in Rocksmith2014 (Paradise city, highway to hell, back in black) but wont play. I executed Rocksmith2014 from steam...RSInjector does not open Rocksmith2014.

Here is my system, maybe there is a know issue with the versions I dont know:

    OSX Yosemite: 10.10.4 (14E46)

    Mono JIT compiler version 4.4.0 (mono-4.4.0-branch-c7-baseline/5995f74 Thu Jun  2 15:13:10 EDT 2016)

Could not find the steam version but I guess it is the latest as it auto-upgrade itself.

Searched on the git-hub about RSInjector and seems looking the software in the right place and my symlink seems ok.

I dont want to install cocoa and development framework to just compile RSInjector... maybe is the only way.

My 1st HDD (system) has 128 GB and has 18 GB left...the 2nd HDD is 750GB with plenty of space...it is the best option to save all the CDLC I want...I dont want to install Steam and Rocksmith2014 in the first HDD.

Known issues? something I miss in here? sorry about this large comment, but I think it will save some time on the questions about what I did.

Best Regards and thanks in advance for any information that could help.

You'll find fully working instructions for using CDLC on a Mac here:

    http://customsforge.com/topic/10547-how-to-add-custom-songs-on-mac/

You need to install Rocksmith 2014 into the default directory.  It won't work if it's installed somewhere else, even with a symlink.

  12.

Steam considers it installed and I have run the verification several times and the song still does not show in the game. Thanks for the input.

Did you reboot your PC?  I've had official DLC that wouldn't show up in the game until after a reboot.

If that doesn't work, have you tried removing all of your CDLC to see if it's just a conflict with another song?

  13. First of all, I want to thank you for all your advices in this forum. Since yesterday, I try to get it working on my Mac (running OS 10.11). I finally managed to make downloaded m-psarc files work. But what doesn't work yet, is the RSCustomSongToolkit. When launching it, it only tells me to download the latest Mono framework. I did it and installed it, but when running the Toolkit again, it tells me again to install Mono. I tried it another time (now both version are being tried: the universal and the 32 bit), but nothing changes.

Do you have any ideas about this issue?

    Thanks in advance!

Did you try the edited version of the Toolkit, found at the bottom of the second post of this thread (at the end of my instructions)?

And did you make sure you installed the correct version of Mono for your version of OS X?  Any incorrect versions will need to be uninstalled, so that only the correct version is installed on your system.
