It converted fine for me. If you're using an older version of the Toolkit, edit the filename for the cdlc to remove any "." from the filename (other than the extension).
For instance, this song's filename is "Scorpions - Rock You Like A Hurricane - v2.1 - DDC v2.2_p.psarc". You need to remove "v2.1" and "v2.2" from the filename. Older versions of the Toolkit can't convert songs with a "." before the extension.
Be careful if you decide to update to a newer version of the Toolkit. Several Mac users have had problems with customs converted with Toolkit versions released in January. The songs convert, but don't work in RS.
I've also experienced lots of bugs with the January releases of the Toolkit, so I use a slightly older version, which you can find posted here:

There seems to be some errors with a couple of the newest versions of the Toolkit.
Try this one:

This is the version I'm using.

That's weird. I get nothing but errors with the last two versions. I can't even get past the initial setup screen without an error. And I'm running the same OS and version of Mono as you.
-
-
What version of the Toolkit are you using? The latest versions have removed the mono check at startup. However, the last two versions posted (Jan. 5 and Dec. 14) have other bugs that prevent them from working.
I use v2.7.1.0-8c786b1e with no issues. No Mono check in that one either.

There isn't really an easier way. I would suggest that you start by removing all of the new songs you just added, and add them back in small batches.

I'm not sure what directions you're reading, but RSInjector is no longer used.
You can find proper instructions here:

-
First verify that at least one of them is working. If you can't get a single custom to work then something else is wrong.
-
-
Did you re-run the patch after the latest update? You need to re-run it every time the game gets an update.
-
There's no bug affecting the patch. It's possible the cDLC you've downloaded are corrupted or conflicting with each other. Also, did you buy Cherub Rock?
-
Just re-run the patch.
-
Yeah, it can take a long time to launch the first time. That's why I made the note about it in the instructions. It will open quicker after the first time.
-
It does happen sometimes randomly, especially with large numbers of customs in the dlc folder. Always make sure that you wait for the "Enumerating List" to finish before entering Learn A Song.
However, if it is happening on a more consistent basis for you, it's likely that you have a conflict with one or more customs. It's a bit of a pain, but you'll have to remove all of your customs and add them back in small batches until you find the one(s) causing a problem.
-
Then nothing in this thread applies to you. You'll need to find the instructions for using cDLC with Windows.

@@dyanac,
Here are the instructions for using cDLC on Mac:

@@molly_vk, do you own Cherub Rock?
Make sure you've followed all the instructions here:

You need to re-run the patch after an update.

Re-run the patch.

@@emmet,
Sounds like you might have a conflict with one or more customs. Try removing all of the ones causing problems and add them back in small batches to see if they work. Once you get to one that doesn't work again, remove it and verify that the others work.
No...today's update broke Rocksmith's ability to recognize the real tone cable. If it were the issue you suggest...it would not have worked yesterday. The only new variable here, is official update that happened automatically.
My comment wasn't directed at you. If you read @@emmet's comment, his issue has nothing to do with the real tone cable. The issue(s) with the real tone cable only affects Windows users.
