1 - Song doesn't show up in Rocksmith. Solution: change app id to Cherub Rock (which is what most people here would expect).

2 - Everything seems to be in sync

3 - Notes don't register (I'm not a good guitar player but I didn't miss 600+ notes!). My guess is that the tuning in EoF isn't set right (or RCST? Can't remember what causes this problem).

     I thought the same thing but I can't figure that out yet

4 - It sounds like the tuning of the original song is lower (Bb instead of Eb?). I'm not really knowledgable about guitars, maybe that isn't achievable with a regular guitar. Otherwise you might want to try the trick as described in http://customsforge.com/topic/5227-5-strings-bass-and-low-note-recognition/ . You're right it is lower but I figured there's a lot of songs here in the E standard or half step down. I'll change to original. 

5 - adding sections is helpful when using Riff Repeater

    Again I haven't seen this in the tutorials so I have no idea what sections are

6 - adding phrases is helpful when using Dynamic Difficulty. This is really easy with DDC in RCST, you don't have to add phrases or difficulty levels manually .

   I tried making a DD but it wouldn't load in RS

7 - adding bass is really little effort if you've used the vertical bars in EoF to sync and there's a bass line in your source (there seems to be in http://tabs.ultimate-guitar.com/i/iced_earth/i_walk_alone_guitar_pro.htm ).

   The power tab I got (tabbest.com) didn't have the bass line go figure

Been working this for a few days and tried it on mine but having somebody else always works best. Please test and gve me good feedback i.e. needs better syncing, etc....Only rhythm section as lead is rather short and IE likes to use more than one guitar to fill.

Dont know if this has been said yet, cant be arsed to read the whole thread, but if you are on pc its pretty easy to get your old save back.

 

Just go to where the save file is located, Which should be Steam / steamuser / steam ID number / 221680

 

221680 is the game ID number, just right click on it and select 'set back previous version'  Or something along those lines. You should get a popup box with dates / times. Just select which one you want and BOOM, old save is back.

 

Dont know if such a trick is possible on xbox / ps. Probably not. 

Good idea. I have Win 8 and I see no action that says "set back previous version" when I go to that folder and click it.  Am I missing something? Thanks.

While working on checking a CLDC I was making I started the game and out of the blue it says "saved data file" or something like that can't be loaded would you like to override new data? Of course I said no and got into the game and all my songs have been restarted to show 0% level haha. Has that happened to anyone and how do you fix it? I deleted the file I was working on and restarted computer to no avail. Thanks.

I made an attempt at creating a CLDC and it's posted in the workshop section but my question is, when I played it to check it out the notes don't show up on the fret board as it's rolling toward you. I tried to follow the tutorials by snake and septic which are cool as shit but I have no idea what I'm missing. If you have an idea I'd greatly appreciate it would love to make more to help out the site.

My feeble attempt at first custom. I know the RS bar notes didn't show up on testing so if you can add some helpful hints I would greatly appreciate it. I tried to sync the notes as best by going right down the song note by note.

Love this tutorial but what happens when the notes don't all line up? I got the first part lined up and when scrolling through song and playing it the other ones aren't lined up. Isn't there an easier way then going to every note and sliding them? Thanks man.

@@irongoats Are you saying that you have to post 1 time anywhere on the forum one time or do you have to actually comment on each CDLC before you can download it?

 

I find the way other sites do things interesting. If it's the first one, I will explain why we don't do that. If it's the second, I could make a case either way but if you would, why would it be better one way or the other?

 

Before you can have access to link you have to reply. We do this over at Demonseye.me music forum. Right now when you want a cldc you don't have to reply you just grab and go hence the lack of feedback for the hard work that alot of people do here. The like button is cool but I find I use that for a comment that I like because I always say thanks to whatever I want to download. 

if you make a reply mandatory you'll end up in threads with spam posts - gl for the moderators to clean up that mess
