  1. So, working on some country tunes. This one is giving me problems with the bass part. The fret markers are correct per the tabs

    Heres the RS2014 file https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0Ea9vdU9--jMzZGOUx3X1kxaFE/edit?usp=sharing

    The freaky part is the tab was written with 6 string tab sheet for the bass. I didnt noticed a capo used in the live video I checked out. When I add the bass part it wants a custom tuning starting with A for the E string. I doubt thats correct

  2. heres mine;

    Squier VM 70s Jazz Bass and the red one is a Silvertone from a pawn shop. The red one is getting a defretting job.

    The Squier I replaced the pups with Dimarzio dp123 in series and lowrider strings. The Silvertone using the old Fender strings and cleaned her up and nice setup. Both good playersPosted Image

  3. oh she was synced, I think the problem was when I converted to gp5 in tux, I looked at the tab there and the bass part was in a higher register. I transposed a 5th down and its a bit better, some of it is still too high. Im gonna try to eof it again, but I swear I did a previous song and the marker in eof and rocksmith were different .

  4. Ok so I spent like 3 hours tab some sheet music, synchin it up all went well. I put into RS2014 and the bass is totally off. In EOF, I saw notes going on the E string, Now in RS those same notes are on a different string all together.

    Where could I have gone wrong?

    I used GPlite to do the arrangement, and while doing the bass part I noticed the staff wouldnt go passed E. I need low C (thats note on the 3rd lower ledger line right) Im not 100% familiar with bass clef yet. So after some tweaking with the clef it sounded dead on in GPlite. In RS it sounded like a 3 year old strumming the bass following along.

  5. maybe its not your cup of tea, but i uploaded I will Survive by Gloria Gaynor the other day. Its great for bass should be the same for guitar. My nephew is playing RS too, I keep telling him that he has to build his chops. To play the more simpler songs to get hand strength and technique down. He just want to play fast or whatever lol. Hell the boy aint even the hand stretch exercises I show him lol

  6. As far as your bass volume being too low, I was having the same issue. RS has a habit of reverting back to 17 for the cable in windows. I found a post and tried it, it worked for me.

    Turn you volumes to 50% on the guitar, all the knobs. Now in RS go to calibrate and play 1 string when its asks you too, when its done it should bump your gain up. Now all you do is crank your volumes on the guitar back to full and you should be heard once again.

  7. well im talking between bass and guitar tracks. But, I stated another track, a more simple song. I set up each track as before, once the guitar part is set, i changed to bass and set that, then guitar 2 and set it. I tried with go playalong again, but something was off. This song since its slower 4/4 at 100bmp or so its easier to sync.

    Im doing the pharse naming now, hopefully it works better.

    I did a couple of other cdlc's before that came out ok I think. I guess Opeth just doesnt agree with me yet lol
