  2. The way I got into my biggest project was a flyer on my university campus. It said "Drummer and bassist wanted for prog metal band. We like Trivium, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, and Evanescence." I called the number, a month passed, they tried me out and then we wrote an EP together.

So my advice would be to put yourself out there and be vocal about what style of music you want to play. Meet people with the same taste, jam with them, repeat until you find bandmates with chemistry.

  3. Late to the party, classic Gamut. :snail:  :confetti_ball:

When I first rolled this file, I was almost ready to reject it - but was pleasantly surprised to discover there was a newer, shinier version than the one I had.

Man, people are scoring mid 90s on this? I'd better buckle down and put some elbow grease in.

That's more like it! More percents where that came from.

  4. Not quite sure how to differentiate between the two versions of Billy Talent. Any ideas? The bass charts are definitely different but both sound ok to me.

They both quite playable files on both paths, but Watoosh's bass chart has extra notes and not as great a tone, while Cat's lead chart is missing notes and has really uncomfortable fingering in the chorus. So I gave each path its most accurate chart.

  6. With my system, I have to shuffle DLC constantly. My upper library limit is about 1700 - after that, enumerates get exponentially longer, Rocksmith starts crashing more often, and I experience "hiccuping" mid-songs.

  7. RNG was being a bit of a pain this week, so there's a fair amount of Rigged Picking™ happening here to make everything work out nicely. To be fair, the Intervals I chose isn't one I know how to play at all! The int, though:

Starting off with a PB on a hard-hitting emo tune from my kidGamut days.  I'm a little loosey-goosey about how I play the intro riff, but I can clean it up!
