  1. I've taken a look into the files. They share the same Arrangement Identifications for the arrangements:

As you see "Bass" is same and the "Guitar" arrangements are the same across. I don't know how to change them. But i think changing them should solve your issue.

  2. Am i getting mad or did there was a RS2014 update? Or is there some voodoo around?

Tuesday 4th was the last time i used RS2014 this week. I played Seven Nation Army which is set in E standard tuning. Nice song, played it several times with standard tuning.

Today i've started RS again. I was told by the steam launcher that an update was done. Then i selected the song ... and was told to change tuning to "open A"??? I've played it and it was set in open A tuning. I hat to do other work with my left hand. By the way, it has now to be played like i've seen it in the linked youtube video.

Then i took a walk. Now I started RS again ... and the song is set back to E standard again. And i know i didn't dream it because my guitar is still tuned in open A.

I've switched from lead to rhythm. The CDLC does not have a rhythm part but it displays that an open A tuning would be suggested.

Does anyone experienced this strange behavior before? I'm angry with myself that I did no screenshot with the alternative tuning.

  3. The filled notes are part of the chord and will sound more smooth. The hollow notes are still part of the scale but will have an acoustic tension. Playing only the filled notes will sound good but a little boring. Use the hollow notes to make your music more interesting.

Good question, i cant understand how it works session mode, how i must play ?

It's a mode to learn improvising, aka jamming. Just select a band of your musical choice, select a base tone, select a complexity of the band's accompany. Then begin to play. Use the marked notes and enjoy your own music.
  4. Slow doesn't necessarily mean 50%. I prefer to learn at 80-90%. That's not really slow enough to make playing difficult, but that small decrease in tempo is usually enough for me to see and hit all the notes properly.

Same to me. I just begin with 40%-50% without playing just to get an idea what to play. Then i increase the tempo to about 70% an begin to learn until my fingers know what to do. Then i increase the tempo depending on the difficulty of the song for 5% to 10%.
  5. In my opinion it's better to learn a song with slow speed and full difficulty. When you learn it with increasing difficulty you may have to correct your left hand fingers from time to time, because a part is playable better with another finger set. Doing this you will learn the song more than once.

My hint: Take Riff Repeater, select a slow tempo that fits your abilities and use full difficulty. It's the way i learn best.

  6. I think the pitch differences with a lot of old recordings was because of the technology back then. Different tuners, but also different speeds of tape decks and whatever. But these songs really were meant to be played in A400 / E standard tuning.

Concert pitch is 440 Hz  But i agree that most of the detunes from older recordings may be due to a lack in recording technology.

If it's only slightly off, why not retune the song itself to standard pitch?

Any suggestions for a good software to do it?
  7. Seems to be an issue with the new theme. I've mentioned this in the Suggestions Box yesterday. Meanwhile i've switched back to the theme IP.Board where CTRL+Mouse works as expected. You can switch the theme at the end of the page. Right beside the RSS-icon you'll find "Change Theme".

  8. Learn a song - 50%

    Score Attack - 5%

    Nonstop play - 5%

    Guitarcade - 5%

    Lessons - 25%

Score Attack isn't played much, because (you mentioned) the disturbing buzzers. I don't think that Guitarcade helps really much, but from time to time i'm looking into this area just if i'm to lazy to practise :-). I use Nonstop Play to get known with all songs that are available in the program ... to learn them step by step in Learn A Song. Finally i'm doing the lessons over and over again to enhance my abilites on the guitar.

  9. I support the shit out of this thread, but can we require spoiler tags or something?

    Spoiler is already available:

Just click on "More Reply Option". A more complex editor will open. The third icon in the first row will show "Special BB Code" which contains "Spoiler".

Once you know that is available you may use it without these steps.
