Thank you @@Nacholede I hate using Riff Repeater lol. Most all my scores come from just playing the songs straight without riff repeating and I only tend to use RR if I really like a song and want to learn it fully. This is one of those songs lol but Riff Repeater annoys me lol.

Some really impressive scores on the Babymetal song. Welcome to all the new participants. This week has ended up being a great week for the competition as there are many new faces. I hope you all continue to join in each week as its a great deal of fun to see all the competitors.

The championship runs every week and new songs are chosen every week. The way to enter has been discussed multiple times and is explained in detail in the thread that you mentioned. You may participate whenever you want but it has to be for the current weeks songs.

We have been getting some questions/complaints about the leaderboards so I wanted to update you guys on how they are managed. Right now all scores that are submitted in the championship threads are added to the Leaderboards. At the end of each week we then determine who wins in each class by looking at the top scores. This is the simple explanation on how it is done but behind the scenes we see who belongs in what class and if a score from a INT competitor is in the Beginner class that score is ignored. Same goes for MC competitors in the INT class. If we determine that you belong in the MC class only your MC score will be counted. This goes for different arrangements as well as each arrangement is leveled on its own. We add everyones scores to the spreadsheet to make our jobs a bit easier. It is much simpler for us who handle the leaderboards to just add all the scores and then at the end of the week determine the winners. If there is an error (which can happen sometimes as we are only human) once it is revealed to us we fix it. @ or @Mortalo greys out the members name/scores/streak in the leaderboard to let us know that the member shouldn't be counted in that class and that is one way we determine the winner. In the future we will hopefully have a type of trophy mod that will allow us to add a trophy on your profile if you have won the championship for the last week which you will have applied for each week that you win. I am in talks with the admins to try and get this mod up and running and so that It can have a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place for each class. We always love to hear suggestions on better ways of managing this competition so please add any and all suggestions to this thread and we will discuss them all.

Your score unfortunately is not valid as there is a section that is yellow. Please replay the song and make sure that the difficulty is Maxed out (all purple). We will be adding a new rule in regards to the song selection list. The beginner song was selected by liquidlizard who if you do some checking doesn't normally compete in the competition although he creates customs and adds them to the song selection list. From this point on anyone who adds a song to the selection list and does not normally participate will have the selections ignored. This competition is here for everyone but if you don't participate on a frequent basis (IE at least 3 out of 4 weeks in a month) then we must allow the people who do participate to have a higher chance of their song choices being selected. As I have always stated the difficulty of a song will always be different for every person. Taking this weeks song into account the beginner song was too difficult for most beginner players because the solo although small was very difficult. I allowed that song to be selected because I was trusting that people would chose appropriate songs for the class. I will from now on check at least the beginner song and make sure it is good for beginners. I originally only checked the song to make sure it met the requirements for selection (custom tone, Riff Repeater, lead and bass arrangement). With this new rule hopefully we will not run into this issue again.

Oh I see you updated your original post next time please use a new post for updates. Also for beginner players please note that although there are 3 scores posted now in Beginner lead Only Tonedef' score is the one that counts right now. So anyone who can get over 78% will be declared the beginner winner when the week is up. Don't be afraid of the solo because if you can't play the solo the rest of the song can and will put you over 80%

You may always choose where and what you want to play. You may choose to go up a class whenever you want. You may also enter in whatever arrangement you want, lead, Rhythm or bass or all of them for that matter.

I have brought this to the attention of the Admins/Mods hopefully we will have an answer about it soon.

Looks to me like you belong in INT and maybe even MC @@Tonedef Welcome to the championships great score on the beginner song. Please feel free to try all the songs as the Bass players tend to play them all anyway but overall just have fun and continue to learn. Great to see some more new competitors I look forward to seeing more scores from you.

I understand that the beginner song may seem a bit difficult but honestly if every song is easy then what are we learning? I thought about changing the beginner song as I don't see anyone playing it but honestly guys you should all be trying to play it as it will help push you out of your comfort zone so you can learn more. As I have always said some songs are going to be a lot harder than others and the beginner song this week was chosen by a member and placed in the beginner selection list. Even if you don't get a great score on the song you guys should all be trying it to challenge yourselves. This might help push your confidence because it will hopefully make you say to yourself, "hey if I can play that then I shouldn't be scared to try INT and MC songs". The song has a lot of power chords surely over 80% of it if i remember correctly which is why I didn't change it. It is also a relatively small solo which with practice and Riff Repeater you guys should be able to learn. Don't be intimidated by a song that seems difficult because if you allow it to intimidate you you will never move on to the next level.

I would love to be able to do this for you guys but I don't have access to the server or any access to adding mods to the site. I will relay these suggestions to the admins and see if something like this can be done.
