  1. Just Pastor of Muppets for me today. Hand is still a tad painful. I did try Deep Purple and red X'd the shit out of it. Think I need more time in LAS for Time Warp... couldn't quite grasp it in SA and gave up halfway through because I got bored of feeling tired and uncomfortable while playing it. Pistols doesn't work for me (as much as I like them I kinda don't care atm. If I feel a bit better I might try fixing it and trying it) rocksmith crashed as I was about to try Iron Man so I just switched it off... defeated by overall crappiness.

  2. poor Noony

wish you the best to get your wrist ok, you don't wanna miss week 150

I don't know if you've got a sarcastic note or enthusiastic tone to your post there... either way I'd like to see if it's going to be an amazing week or a poo week and would like to take part still :) Turns out I have tendinitis and I've been prescribed slightly stronger pain meds and bequeathed a Gauntlet of Rock, which is beige, and I can only presume, belonged to Nickelback.

Behold the Gauntlet of Rock! (sorry for the big photo)

  3. I'm off to the hospital today to get my wrist checked out. it's not got any better and this morning has been the only chance I've had to get it seen to. I'm not going to be bassing until I'm given the O.K to do so. I'm pretty sure it'll be fine, I just need stronger anti inflammatories and painkillers than what I've been using. Thus far only Jack Daniels has come anywhere near to shaving some of the edge of pain off but sadly I'm not in a position to get wrecked every day (quart-annually is about as much as I can take :).)

See you all next week. :) x

  4. Very nice music, and the bass sound is awesome, but very difficult to get in the strange rhythm of this sound! :P

    @ What you think?

I played this a while ago with a slightly better score but now on playing it it feels odd... could be a wrist thing as I'm still in a bit of pain but it definitely became bewilderingly worse towards the end...

No Adv or MC scores as yet, they're a little too hurty on my wrist so I'll give it a few days as I can't get to the walk-in centre to have it checked over until Tuesday :( <3 PJ. Harvey... not too keen on Metallica's anesthesia, I couldn't play it at all the last time and I tried a little before and omg I'm horrible at it :D

  5. @@KoldStatic thanks man, that's 5 notes missed, you missed 6 :P I don't know if it even applies as it's your first entry, but if you get to 5 misses or less (>99%) you'll play in advanced class next week !  :D

I do restart halfway through sometimes even at the very end, yes. Though I've not played this 51 times for the championship lol. 51 times through out the 2 years or so of having Rocksmith... my first post will give you a vague indication of how many times I've played Cemo Gates this week. I have played one particular track 435 times so 51 plays is a walk in the park really. :)

  6. Some girls like bass players. I'm a sucker for Geddy Lee lookalikes. ( Though my other half looks like Norman Reedus and doesn't play bass. )

I "played" guitar for 20 years. I liked it, but it wasn't my passion. I liked the idea of being good, but it wasn't my goal. I didn't think it would impress men, because it doesn't. I had yearned to play bass for that whole time without even concluding that that was what I should be doing, so I quit the guitar.

    Best thing I ever did!

I picked up my bass 2 years ago and can play almost not too shabbily. I go through phases of competence. Sometimes I'm pants at playing, sometimes I am less pants at playing. Most recently I found I was struggling with everything, thumb slipping off my anchor point, plucking fingers missing strings only to discover what my error was was simply I'd adopted a "technique" and a BAD one at that where I was balancing my thumb on it's tip to anchor... soon as I figured that out I was back to playing less pants and happier and less frustrated for it. Rocksmith didn't show me how to solve that issue, but watching an abundance of youtube videos of other respected bassists hand placements did.

Moral is. Sometimes it really is all about that bass. If you have the desire to fix what's making you mess up then you've picked the right instrument to call home.

  7. @@NoonyDeloony  I love your hair, you rock the blonde! Great playing, too. If a CDLC doesn't include a note that is played in the song, find it and play it anyway, I say! :D

Heheh Cheers @@Gamut, it's the pre-blond before oranging it up again. The ginge begone for now, ginge beback by the end of the week. Happy Birthday man! (/mutters something about being 10 years younger... realises that's creepy and downright inappropriate... apologises reputedly, creeps off in shame. Would still like to be 10 years younger though :D )

In the Jet track there is a sneaky little hidden note that keeps missing. it's not tabbed in the chart (well not to the naked eye) but in LAS it shows up as an exclamation mark between the 219th note and the 221st note... I ran riff repeater and it appears to be right on the very edge of where the phrase breaks to start a new phrase. It's not so much a problem as Missis S' house being built of bass' (Home Bass .), but it's fecking irritating :) especially as I was trying to record a groovy video :)

  9. First tries:-

    Nancy: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=748862936 Cute bass line.

Jet: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=748862892 Some nice surprises, I shall practice this one more. I think it's quite a high intermediate but I'll refrain from scores atm.

Judas: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=748862852 I prefer Iron Maiden to Judas Priest but this is a fun one to play. I shall practice this a bit more, I enjoy those widdly bits.

38th try but first try since about 4 months ago :)

Pantera: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=748862970 just <3... oo new high score :)

  10. I only missed one note on my last try so I figured I might as well go for it. :) Also idk if anyone's interested but the last few weeks I haven't taken part in the championships as I was practicing for a gig! Here's some footage to prove https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o55fjcgskNQ - not trying to brag or anything - but the last few wks playing with a band outside or rocksmith has been a great experience. And I just wanted to thank you ppl running this forum who have been the greatest help.(and ofcourse the guys behind rocksmith) 5cdeba3517.jpg

You're living the dream man :) That's my goal. To one day gig. I don't wanna record deal and have no delusions of overnight success I just want to be out there spanking the plank :) Brag away my friend, you've earned it :D

Quite pleased with this improvement since it was literally my second try :) did a little 10 minute RR to familiarise myself with the riffs in each partition but missed a couple of riffs which reflects in the accuracy because at that point I was thinking "oops! I forgot about this bit!"

Think I may need to used my cruddy chunk of wood bass to get the right tone for this song as my Peavy's skinny strings don't do it justice :)

  12. Beginner: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=746476713 Horrible timing. Could be mine, could be the Arctic Monkeys... but either way, not a pleasurable experience to play and I would have hated it as a beginner. I have mixed feelings of this band as it is but I just don't like the song (disclaimer, not to begrudge the chooser of this song's person, just my opinion of the song not your taste :) .)

Int: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=746467162 I like this song, I did do a seranade to @@Gamut via recording but hell it's creepy :D 40 seconds of bassless intro and staring at the camera is really weird  I found this one easier than Frosty Simians.

Adv: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=746474356 bass tone on this was a bit ermmm... loud, boarish, used old faithful NIN's one.

MC: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=746474297 Despite a LOT of this not seeming to register I did enjoy this song, generally I am not keen on these guys but they do have the odd old gem they can pull out their arses occassionally ... it is pretty darn hard but I think I'll get it. ( 9 , though I may re-rate it to an 8 if things go how I think they will )

I have sorted out my recording software issue now so... my apologies for what's to come :D
