  1. @@Shakey64 Go to the Apple Menu and select "About this Mac".

what type of processor does it say you have?

To check if an app is 32-bit or 64-bit, from the Apple menu, choose About This Mac, then click the System Report button.

what version of rocksmith does it say is install (64 or 32 bit and version info)?

did you perform default or custom installation of rocksmith

    Thanks for the reply Cozy

Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo

      Processor Speed: 3.06 GHz

    Says the app is 64bit

No I didn't do anything other than the request download from Steam, which I assume is default?

  2. My mac was out of commission for a while as I'd moved house but on sorting out the man-cave I found that CDLCs froze.  I followed some of the advice here

    1. I deleted Rocksmith and reinstalled,  Game then worked for original and Rcoksmith's own DLCs.

    2.  Then ran the patch (do I need to place it anywhere in particular before running it?)and got the following message...

    Seans-iMac:~ myname$ /Users/myname/Desktop/RUN_PATCH_RS.command ; exit;
cp: ./libRSBypass.dylib: No such file or directory
/Users/myname/Desktop/RUN_PATCH_RS.command: line 4: ./insert_dylib: No such file or directory
    logout
    Saving session...
    ...copying shared history...
    ...saving history...truncating history files...
    ...completed.
    [Process completed]

    3.  I then added one DLC (NewOrder_LeaveMeAlone_m.psarc) but it failed.  :-(

I'm running High Serra 10.13.6 because I cannot go any higher than that as this is a late 2009 iMac.

Any pointers that I should follow would be gratefully received.

  3. Hi, I've been using CDLC for years without any issues.  I have a an iMac running macOS 10.13.6 (17G5019)) and in the last week or so CDLC songs have stopped working.  So I guess I'm slightly different to the other recent posts who seemed to be attempting to use for the first time as I've been using since Feb 14.  Has there been some sort of change to the core game or elsewhere that might be making CDLC no longer work?  Does anyone have any advice for me please?

  4. On a similar note, strap locks are an cheap but important buy, as my best mate (who didn't have any) will testify.  If you don't want to spend any money use the rubber grommets from Grolsch beer bottles.  Better safe than sorry?

  5. There something with temp files at mac or about rights, can't test cause I have PC only :(

Hi not getting your meaning here Alex.   All that happens is that the icon moves very briefly into the Dock then disappears. It does not open. I have the latest version of Monoframework.

Do any of the Toolkit developers have any ideas about what is causing the issues with the Mac package of Custom toolkit?

  6. That Boss ME-50 looks a bit tasty!

I was thinking about getting a synth pedal of some sort but, again, haven't really got the cash for it. The Electro Harmonix HOG2 in particular looks like it's just what I want but it's over 300 quid so it's way too rich for my blood lol

I can definitely say avoid the Mooer version - it is isn't very good at all. Had one and sold it on eBay.  I can however recommend the Mooer ElecLady (based on EHX's Electricx Mistress Flanger)  and their Green Mile (Tubescreamer clone)...

  7. You can find some great quality guitars on trading sites like mylespaul.com, sevenstring.org (people sell six strings too, lol), or TheGearPage. While some copies do make guitars in China, they are not knock-offs. Gibson owns Epiphone, so they are authentic, and while they may not be the greatest guitar in the world, you can rest assured that it will be better than the one in the video. You can find an Epiphone Les Paul on ebay for around $300.

Just be careful. Gibson is highly counterfeited, but believe it or not, Epiphone is counterfeited more. The folks at mylespaul.com/forums are HIGHLY knowledgeable on this topic. I suggest checking that out.

Yep, Epis are also counterfeited. I paid £300 for an Epi LP Custom on ebay, never got on with it and tried to sell it on eBay only for Gibson to ask ebay to pull the ad as it was a fake.  Even though it was a year after I bought it I went back to the guy who sold me it and he gave me a full refund: I was very lucky!
