I believe that all you need to do is double the tempo for the area that is in 7/8. I get this problem all the time when charting progressive music. I think the reason for this is that EOF reads odd time signatures like 7/8 as 7/4 therefore resulting in the tempo be halved, so all you must do is double the bpm for that section.

Synthesia is the best thing for keyboard. With the free version you can play along to to whatever song. If you get the full version, it will allow you to plug in using midi and it is pretty much Rocksmith for keyboard. Also it is very easy to aquire songs, all you need is the .mid file.

Tron001 is correct. Instead of being tuned EADGBE it will be BEADGB. Rocksmith doesn't support 7-strings but it does support low tunings, so nobody is stopping you from using a 7-string to play in those low tunings.

Sorry it's been a while since I posted any CDLC. I picked up GTA 5 on the PS4 and I think I am addicted. I got to get back into the habit of charting more often.

Juular by Devin Townsend has some pretty impossible Chords, plus its in Open C, so you can kiss easy note recognition goodbye

Don't get me wrong, there is a lot of hand stretching in Juular, but it is pretty much just power-chords with awkward extensions. It is definitely hard, but I think impossible might be an exaggeration. Fantastic song though.

Definitely decapitated symmetry of zero on bass, its so fast and tough on the left hand as well.

I just tried emulated bass on Symmetry of Zero, I've never had so much fun playing emulated bass. Nothing like some old school Death Metal!!! :angry:

I agree with you, "Beyond The Dark Sun" is pretty damn fast. Jari Maenpaa is an incredible guitarist. I saw them live 2 years ago, they put on a fantastic show.

The most difficult CDLC that I have charted (In My Opinion) is "Animals As Leaders - CAFO".

Here's why:

Lead guitar is 20% Sweep Picking, 70% Tapping on multiple strings, and 10% finger picking.

Rhythm & Bass are constantly alternate picking at fast speeds

To top this all off, the Time Signature is frequently switching between 4/4, 9/4, 5/4, 3/4 and 6/4.

Just Tested it.

Sync is perfect and I think you got all of the notes correct.

Lead

• I like the distortion tone alot, but I think you should set a less heavy tone for during the Chorus (Burn you wishes, Take back control, Meet you wishes)
• During the solo many of the notes are sustains when they don't need to be. This makes the sweep picking confusing.

Rhythm

One of the crazy notes during the chorus bugs out. I don't know how to fix this, but maybe setting it as a arpeggio might work.

Just confirming that I did check it out. You were correct, I just used the wrong XMLs in the Toolkit. So it was %100 MY FAULT, there was NO bug with EOF or the Toolkit. Thanks again Chlipouni. If an ADMIN see's this topic, feel free to close it.

It seems that you had not define the "seek table granularity" to 16384 during the Wwise audio conversion.

Convert the audio one more time with the correct settings and pack your CDLC again ...

Just tried tried converting audio again, and I made sure that it was 16384, but it still isn't working.

Thanks for the suggestion. I did try doing that, but no success. I have no idea why it is not working. I think I'll try starting a new project and seeing what happens.

As Firekorn said, just try to complete all of the lessons. It will teach you all of techniques that you should expect the game to throw at you. Also, try to stick to songs that are your skill level. By the way, there is nothing wrong with switching between Lead and Rhythm arrangements, some songs I do lead, some I do rhythm. Just don't forget about Riff Repeater.

Here is some Metal that I charted that isn't too complex or fast.

Dream Theater - I Walk Beside You (Easy throughout whole song, but contains many arpeggios)

Eluveitie - Inis Mona (Whole song is just power chords)

Periphery - Erised (%80 is really easy, other %20 is ridiculously hard) 

Periphery - Icarus Lives! (Difficult Strumming patterns, but once you get used to it, it is easy)

Strapping Young Lad - Love? (Very Easy song, but contains some Tremolo Picking)

I can't seem to get my sections to appear in Riff Repeater, this is what it looks like in Rocksmith

Before anyone tells me to check out the tutorials, I already did. Plus I included RR in my previous 34 CDLCs, and never encountered this error before.

In EoF I always make my Sections, then I use DDC to generate all of the phrases this always works for me. But for some odd reason the sections just don't want to appear. I figured I should post it here and see if anyone ever had this problem.

If you used DDC, then all you need to do is increase the phrase length. If that doesn't work, you might have to remove a couple sections. The bug only gets rid of the RR bars at the top of the screen but DD still works. If you just get rid of some phrases then it will work normal.

 

Any chance of some Beartooth, In Hearts Wake, or letlive. songs?

I'm not gonna lie, the vocals in Beartooth and Letlive really isn't my cup of tea. The Hearts Wake sounds pretty cool, but I haven't heard much of their music yet. Do you have any recommendations of what songs I should listen to by them?

Does the game simply not start, or does it get into the main menu then crash? If it won't start, try running the game as admin. Good luck.

I don't own a mac, so I have no idea what the problem could be. But I recommend that you try running the toolkit as admin. Hope this works, good luck.

You are correct, your system should have no issues. Maybe just try turning down a few of the useless graphical settings and just see if that changes anything. Also, maybe you have another application running in the background.
