  1. So if I go in and set some markers for the first few measures it should be ok? I guess that figures, since I synced with the guitar part, which doesn't come in til a bit later.....I would've never thought of that! Thanks! :D Edit, if I import the bass part newly synced with the existing project file using the guitar from the old one, is that going to cause some kind of measure/bpm conflict? Edit 2: btw I didn't get any sort of warning about beats/audio (yet), just the bass started really late.
  2. Ok, coming right up. http://www.mediafire.com/download/rxe7ap881ijm94c/Library+export+2014-05-01+06-50-34+PM.rar If you need the project file and ogg let me know. Thanks! :D
  3. Did you click edit on the tones and name them in the top left hand corner to match the name in the EoF? Tones with spaces need underscores between the words. If the "Default" placeholder tone is still showing in the toolkit, you can delete it.
  4. I have this file and the guitar works fine, but when I import the XML file, the bass comes in really late, and even if I try to copy and paste it to the beginning of the chart (where the bass starts), it's still not in sync. When the file is played in GPA both the guitar and bass are in the right places. Any idea?
  5. I would think 160 should be high enough, so I'll give that a try! Thanks again! This was the one thing my Computer Blue custom really needed to make me happy. I'll put up the updated version soon. :D Edit: Still if anyone else knows, that would be useful info.
  6. Thanks man! This has just the crinkle fry look I was going for! http://img.21food.com/20110609/product/1307095868160.jpg Do you know the max number you can set it to, if it's higher than 120? It's too bad I'll have to hand edit the xml every time I update it, but I'm just happy I can do it at all. Thanks again! :D
  7. Yeah, I'm digging around in the Real Guitar RS2 xml file and I just can't figure out how to find the right notes...
  8. So you edit the real guitar xml file after you're done in EoF? That makes for very little risk, since the original project file would be untouched. Am I getting it right? Also, what would be the highest allowed vibrato? Like I mentioned in the chat, I want it to be like "shake the shit out of this note like you're a bad babysitter" Also, how do you find the right notes to edit? I'm still a noob in many ways.
  9. Is there any way to set vibrato strength in EoF? Like, to make the line really wavy (almost like a zig-zag, if possible)? I've looked everywhere I can think of and I can't find it. Thanks!
  10. Here's my project file, just in case: http://www.mediafire.com/download/cbccu1iyu37u6co/notes.eof http://www.mediafire.com/listen/zb6kkzaz026q2dq/guitar.ogg There's a delayed bend on the guitar (measure 128 &129) and a delayed slide on the bass (measure 4 & 140), and I'm not positive either of them is working properly. Hopefully the ogg will be helpful in this case so you can see the timing. Thanks! :)
  11. Is it normal to get a warning about bend strength when saving if the tech note is set up correctly?
  12. Thanks! I'll let you know what happens. I think it might be working and I was just confused, because I was expecting to see a normal flat sustain with a hump in the middle. Does that make sense?
  13. I'm trying to make a note that sustains then bends a couple seconds in. I've added a Tech Note halfway through the sustain, and managed to edit it with N to make it a 2 half step bend, so it shows in green in the little black box on the sustain tail. The original note shows a red bend mark with an asterisk, but there's no bend mark under the tech note. In the game it just shows like a normal bend. Can anyone help me figure out how to finalize the note so it shows in game? Unrelated question, can anyone explain why bends in the game jump up at the beginning of the note, with 2 arrows facing downward, then seem to slowly release throughout the note? It makes everything look like a pre-bend to me...
  14. I'm glad it helped. :) I added an annotation at the end to explain how you assign tones to the instrument track in the toolkit.
  15. I made this on the request of another forum member and figured I might as well post it here. :)
  16. Well I made a massive thread of niggling problems in the Help section, and they all got solved, so feel free to hold forth with your issues! ;)
  17. Yay! I'm really glad to hear you got it working. I haven't been doing this much longer than you have, but I'm pretty much always available if there's anything I can help with. You can even Yahoo message me if you want to, I'm Billkwando there too.
  18. I know! It's so confusing! Hahahahahahaha.....but I'll survive. ;) This is the song I was working on when I was asking about that: http://customsforge.com/page/customsforge_rs_2014_cdlc.html/_/pc-enabled-rs-2014-cdlc/prince-computer-blue-r3537 I have to wait in suspense til I get home to find out if I did the volumes backwards (I was too sleepy to do anything other than start it up and check for ampswall) . Would anybody like to try it out and tell me? hahahaha
  19. It just looks normal. In EoF, of course, it looks like a long black box before the first measure. ;) Here's video of one of mine that was done that way, with GPA. Man I love this song. http://customsforge.com/videos/view-191-maximum-the-hormone-kuso-breakin-nou-breakin-lily-rs2014-custom-bass/ (I just made the custom, not the video)
  20. Personally, I don't add leading silence to my customs until I'm almost done now, rather than messing with the audio file. I just add the silence and then ignore all the warnings about midi and inserting empty measures, and just leave the leading silence completely blank. That way, my measures stay where I put them. It's never been a problem for me in RS2014. I couldn't speak for RS1. For your timing issues, I still can't help but think something went wrong while you were synching it. Again, do you have the metronome on? Also, are you placing your GPA markers at the peaks of the waveform? I don't know if that's right, but I found that's what works best for me....just sticking it right there in the middle. <|> (that's my waveform spike with the marker in the middle, lol) Did you try going back into EoF and resaving the file? I don't know if I've ever had it freak out once I got past the amps & wall.
  21. It sounds like you might tried to import it on top of an existing project, It's usually best to move your tones elsewhere and wipe out the whole folder. If that wasn't it then there's definitely more to look into.
  22. Oh freaky, when did this come out? Mine's only like a month old. Thanks! Will it work with all my old package files? I rely on them pretty heavily (loading old ones to re-generate) since I revise my customs A LOT. Hopefully someone knows the answer about the correlation between the tone volume and track volume. I'd assume they're uniform, but assumptions can be tricky. ;)
  23. I have a song that is basically perfect volume-wise relative to the volume of the tones, but way too quiet in comparison (both preview and gameplay) to other songs in my list, which forces me to adjust the volume when I play it. I want to boost it to match the volume of the other songs in the list, which I'm aware I can do in the toolkit. My question is, if I raise the song (for example) 2db, if I raise the tone volume for each tone by 2db as well, will that exactly approximate the relative volume I had achieved before, while making the whole thing louder, or are the ratios not exact? Also, does the db setting for the track volume govern the volume of the preview as well? If not, then in the song list it would appear to the user that the song might be too quiet, even though in actuality it isn't, which is a minor concern, but still a concern. Thanks!
  24. Good luck, and post back if you have any issues! BTW, blank thumbnail and no sound happens sometimes if you paste a new psarc into the game folder while the game is running. Usually just shutting down the game and repaste-ing is all it takes. Once I had a particularly persistent "song won't play" issue, and all I had to do was go back to the original file in EoF and simply load it and save it again.... like something went wrong with the save the first time or something. It's never, in my experience, an issue with the files created by the DD tab...on the rare occasion something goes wrong, it's with what you're feeding into it. Note for new GPA users: After finishing your first sync and hitting "finish", to use the file you have to go back to the Library (song list) in GPA, then do "export track" which will output a new XML and GP file to a new time stamped folder in your "My Documents"...and I believe all the folders start with the word "Library", if you're having a hard time finding it. I think you can import either the xml or the gp file into EoF, but I've only done the xml so far.
