Hey all, the CDLC I have downloaded aren't working for some reason, I'm able to go through and select the song then tune my guitar to it but after that i am stuck in a screen with the amps only and the purple lighting. My friend showed me how to get it all set up since he has it on his computer and it all works perfectly on his, but songs that he can play on his i can't play on mine. It's dissappointing me greatly since they were the reason i got the game so i can play songs that I enjoyed listening to but my game is only wanting to play the dlc that i bought and then the base songs it comes with someone please help me.

Hey guys, I'm pretty new, only been playing for about 2 months now. I've gotten a ton of CDLC from here and I love it, but most of it is way too hard for me, probably because I tend to pick songs with really cool bass lines. Can you guys recommend some good songs for someone pretty new? My favorite song to play so far is Stray Cat Strut by the Stray Cats. Songs with the walking bass like that and like Cake's Stick Shifts and Safety Belts are some of my favorites. Any suggestions you have for just getting better in general would be awesome too. My warm ups always consists of playing major and minor scales and then I usually jump into playing some songs on Rock…

Hello guys, im having a little trouble with the chords 101... does someone know whats wrong there? It just wont let me pass "now play all open strings at once", well... i'm not a good guitar player at all, but that's something i can really manage. Tried setting up a new profile, problem stays the same. I just want to refresh some easy chords and get better at that, but its irritating if the most simple things won't get recognized correct. Maybe its the Guitar? All the other usual stuff seems to work right. Thanks in advance and greets Candy

I found these down tuning effects pedals and i think it will save a lot of hassle with thicker baritone strings adjusting the trust rod bridge height to fit the larger strings just to get a good sounding drop tune. Plus all 3 of my guitars have floyd roses... I was wondering if I connect this before after the guitar before the real tone cable into the computer will rocksmith recognize the down tune? I might still purchase one for when I play at my churches worship team. but would it work theoretically It would save a lot of us a ton of hassle retuning or buying an extra guitar just to set up for drop tuning...

Hi guys, im doing the guitarcarde castle game to practice, but i dont know if I play those two chords like they should be played. For E5 I use my third and fourth (pinky) finger to do an e-minor chord and use my index finger to damp the lower e string. I try to hit the first three strings when strumming. For A5 I do the same, but I use my third and fourth finger one string higher. I also damp the lower e string with my index and play the a string open. There I try to strum the four lowest strings. But i have to admit that A5 works quite more often here. I am already able to bar chords, I dont have that much trouble with c5 or d5 for example. So if I need to bar for …

When learning a new song and using Riff Repeater to start slow and increase speed, what method works best for you to increase your speed? Do you find a speed that you can do reliably and repeat that? Or do you find a speed that you struggle with and practice that? Or do you do something else?

Has anyone thought about creating CDLC along the lines of the course work / exam pieces for grades i.e grade 1 guitar through to however many there are. It seems as organisations have already selected different pieces to help different skills this should transfer onto rocksmith well and help people develope.

Hey guys, I've been playing guitar about 2 years now, I've been playing in a church band, jamming with friends, and really getting into music. Specifically, I have really fallen in love with blue, jazz, and all that kind of music. Something about putting emotion into my guitar has really helped me with my playing, and hell with my emotions. Enough of the pussy stuff now though I need some help. I've recently really gotten into Duane Allman and Derek Trucks style guitar playing. They're pretty crazy. The best way I've noticed that I learn guitar is simply playing along with songs on Rocksmith and learning the different ins and outs of my favorite players' techniqu…

First off, I didn't get to post in the closed topic, so I thought I'd start a new one in general on the subject of not just this author/tutor, but many. I have recently seen this thread: http://customsforge.com/topic/16561-guitar-aerobics/ .... and even with the reasons that were given, that were understandable to an extent, I'm unsure as to weather or not this cdlc should have stayed or went. As the case with a fair few here, I would never have even heard about the book until I saw that this cdlc did exist. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Troy-Nelson-Guitar-Aerobics-Book/dp/1423414357 Is there a time where we should start to 'reach out' to tutors/authors for permission to …

Hi, I've been playing Rocksmith for a couple of months now and it's great! The only issue I have (other then not able to go faster and more precise) is that I tend to feel pressure/stress where my (left hand) thumb connects to the arm. Obviously this has to do with how I hold the fretting hand... This is not constant and it passes rather quickly - but it's still an issue not to be ignored. Anyone experienced the same? Any suggestions?

Hi All, I am trying play Money by Pink Floyd and having difficulty with the main riff. When going from Gb to A (on 6th string) and from B to D (on 5th string), I find myself using my index finger and ring finger. For chords, the recommended fingering is shown but when simple fretting, it is never shown so it is difficult to know how best to fret. I am avoiding using my pinky because of the difficulty pressing with it and bending with it. I assume I should be fretting the 2nd fret with my index finger and the 5th fret with my pinky finger. Can someone confirm? Thanks for the help and thanks to those who make DLCs; this makes learning enjoyable!

Just thought it would be cool to have a thread for Jam Tracks. Here's one I quickly wrote and created using the awesome Band In A Box, a Texas Blues song called Autumn Breeze. You can listen to it and download it from here. I'll be doing these regularly I think so hopefully this is the first of many. The chord progression can be seen below: http://i.imgur.com/uGJuBfq.jpg

Wasn't too sure where to put this thread but thought here is as good a place as any. Has anyone tried Band In A Box..? Am looking for an alternative to Session Mode because I'm fed up with the band in Session Mode stopping when you stop playing and want more control over what the band is playing too. Band In A Box looks like exactly what I'm looking for. You basically just input key, the BPM, the chords you want the band to play, select a style of music and you're good to go. Was just wondering if anyone has had a chance to play around with it..? Have seen a few tutorials on YouTube and it looks pretty good.

Anyone know how to do this? I want to sing and play at the same time, I find that some songs I can do it (the simpler the rhythm the easier), others not so much. Any tips on how to practice this or get better at this?
