I like Objection too but it's kind of frustrating that the sections are not cut properly to allow the RR on the 2 tricky parts. 

Just noticed the author has done a new version, that's nice but too late for me I'm afraid... 

Mushroom Bridge is too difficult for me, let's see if I grab the #1 with 38% accuracy 🤣

 

 

 

Hey Everybody but especially @ Vodka ,

I want to ask someone to create a cdlc of a song from one of my fav band, DDT.

Since I'm a beginner I am unable to assess which song would be interesting from a guitar/bass point of view (like not to simplistic or repetitive).

Would you please be able to advise a song that could be interesting that would have the 3 parts (lead / rythm / bass) for the championship ?

Begginer class and Masterclass is always the hardest one for me to find songs for the championship ( i dont purposefully choose hard ones lol). Mostly cause even though it may sound simple it can be more complicated than it sounds/ creators dont tab it right or dont tab all paths etc.

More than 2 for me

I know this of course, because a long time ago I listened to a lot of Disturbed and played NFS: MW. I once played previous CDLC of this song and it had rather simpler chords, here some of them surprised me and I couldn't hit them quickly.

Small improvements. I don't think I'm getting to 90% on Mushroom Bridge... It just twists my brain and fingers 🤣

This is hard to rate because it basically repeats the same over and over, but it's difficult for me, so maybe 7.5.

Also repetitive but extremely difficult. 9.

This one was a doozy, but after letting my head wrap around it and taking a long break, got a very good run considering the difficulty

After a couple of hours of RR (and trying different fingers and passages) I beat 90% 🙏

 

I also tried the master class but I can only do it at 70% speed or only play the E string 🤣

And also Score Attack (didn't feel better than the Learn a Song attempt, but 🤷‍♂️ )

 

Now my hand has to rest 🤣

ok well i guess its time to do some changes to balance it out. Here are the changes:

Spoilt for choice this week and a shout-out to @ cacahuate51  for coming in clutch this week, I was getting a bit worried on Sunday without a championship update!

Haven't played Double Dash in years and this brought me right back, some tricky little bits in it but great fun.

Not much to say about this one from my end

This however was a fun one, got real Celldweller/Breaking Benjamin vibes from it. 

This was unironically my favourite song to play this week, might actually sit down with my acoustic and learn it properly!

I had hoped to crack 90% with this one but couldn't beat 88%, think it was the bends that kept messing with my score.

Less said about this one the better but at least it wasn't as bad as the other MC song, think it was low 50s!

Something I can actually write some suggestions for! NFS:MW has such an incredible soundtrack but this was my favourite song off of it, used to restart races just to get it playing. The album this is from, Ten Thousand Fists, is also one of my favourite albums of all time, it just holds good memories about a simpler time for me. In terms of the song, proper endurance test but that chorus is great fun, once I got the chords down I had a blast.

With music media online being so easy these days to listen to and discard songs you dont like
gone are the days where you would buy and listen to the whole album back to back  and It just grows on you .
I have tons of albums where I must listen too the whole thing start to finish .

Ah funny that you mention celldweller on the blue stahli song because he is actually under klaytons(celldwellers) label FIXT. I believe they were quite close as klayton used to host a weekly production video on youtube (think he stopped quite a while ago) and the producer of blue stahli would sometimes appear. There was some interesting production techniques if anyone is curious check it out. 

EDIT :Honestly i think his videos where ahead of the time as back then there wasnt that many good quality production videos. I think the second best was seamlessR which was also on the Fixt label but he mostly uses FL Studio (and is the one who usually makes the demos for fl studio).
I believe celldweller probably wouldve been more famous if he were to release them now a days but who knows since theres so much content online now.

Well there you go, the more you know eh? Will definitely have a look into that label, I go in and out of listening to certain genres so it's probably time for another journey down that particular rabbit hole, cheers!

I have added a song advised by @ Vodka  to the list. let's see if someone gets excited 🙂 

I've added a few songs previously to the championship but the issue is as a beginner with very little time, I just don't know if they are suitable or not. At least after this week I very clearly understand why it's important to have good sections for riff repeater 😉 

 

Some improvements from yesterday, I didn't play anything today.

Now I start creating selections for the new week, I don't know how long it will take me, but let's say about 2 hours.
