On another note, The pedal you mentionned, is there a point for hardware such as this for someone who doesn't perform? I can do all in my DAW so that would be cheaper and offer more possibilities?

If you have an amp and ever want to play through that for yourself or the fam, if you have pedals you can have FX without the computer (or split the signal while you play Rocksmith to get some oomph). Also good for jamming if you find someone local someday 🤝

Bought all my pedals used, one is a little squishy on the hinge but all work fine idk you do you! 👨‍🔧

I think the #1 most useful pedal you can get is the digitech drop pedal to switch tunings ⬇️⬆️, I use it even with the DAW. Idk how a plugin would compare for the same action, haven’t tried it myself. Latency?

I also like a volume pedal so I can mute while tuning so I don’t annoy myself or anyone, and this tends to come as a combo with a tuning pedal so 2-for-1! 👂❌🎶

A great one to have is a distortion pedal for a quick switch in from clean in the middle of a song. It’s sick!! 🔥 

Cautionary tale, I got a whammy pedal but I don’t use it, hopefully one day but felt like a waste so make sure you actually would use the FX. 🏄‍♂️

Since money is no problem I would go for a good multifx pedal, it’s basically plugins on wheels. I have a Zoom G1xFour to mess around with that works fine but it’s super annoying to figure out and feels kinda cheap. I hear good things about the Line 6 pedals but pricey. Maybe a higher tier Zoom could be a nice in between or if someone has a better recommendation.

Nice work! i think this one is the one ive enjoyed the most so far keep them comming! I'll +1  the comment on good work with the drums are really smooth.  Always surprises me how you can churn songs so fast! Inspires me to git gud.

That was fantastic!  Your guitar work is so clean and feels so laid back.  I think you nailed the transposition to put your voice in its best range, no struggling for notes.  You have come a long way my friend!

@ drand  you're in the list of band members as a singer and a lead guitarist 🙃

Lead part can't be taken. One of the solo parts is still tricky. I can play it on 80 and most of all 90% speed tries. But 100% is over me. I thought I'll break it but headache and my knee break me instead. Hope tomorrow more luck.

For the speed...... well i see it from the other side... my main goal is to learn a song each week to be just able to play when there is a guitar lying around... cause end of 2024 i could play..... zero. Sooooo - i need easy versions i can remember - so i break it down to signature riff, verse and chorus, and maybe any other signature part if there is (as in that case the "under the bridge downtown..." part.... so as i have the song dissected and enslaved (what would the average jazz lover have discribed that?).... and when i have a rough idea how to play it´s already done - i can go tail to nose and just record a version with my choice of weapons and add funny things like bass et al. ...
The songs so far have been extremely grateful and straight forward for that approach... but you´ll see me fight.

Ah...thx - yeah - It´s just great how you can gather prof. knowledge these days - [spent hardly an hour watching yt how to record acoustic guitar.. and now i besides placing of different mictypes ttheoretically even now how to - should i ever use a DAW - how to lowpass filter, where to eq raise the mids and hights (lower the lowmids), pan 2 different mics, create rev-tracks of those and pan to the opposite side....(!)] . that helped me to capture the guitarsound a lot like it sounded in the room.

Dice, thx! As the intro is arpeggiowork (sigh) i decIded to first time not to record the guitar line in one go which led to maybe an hour of guitar recording so - a bit fake laidbackness maybe but í´m quite happy, yeah.

so... first - this is Marcus Miller playing that eventual bass

second.... 5 years ago i wanted to finally get a decent bass and ONLY ONE 🙂 ... so i was thinking Fender and diving into those a bit... and there the Sire kept showing up on and on... so i did start to investigate, learned that that absolute bassmaster that had been a signed Fender player for like 18 or 20 years wanted to aside bring up an affordable high quality bass so that people starting to play bass, students and other musicians who also wanted to own a bass didn´t have to spend a fortune.... and after starting to work with Sire and things got unexpectedly big Fender forced him to let go from the collaboration, which he did, just he quit Fender.
There is a video where he explains the instrument and the situation but beware - it made me buy the thing, just that you know.

What i can say is i play that bass a lot, although back when i bought it the gears of the machineheads were made of synthetic material (been changed in the actual versions) so i got a broken dent there as the only issue in 5 years, and that not leading in any need for repair or replacement, i´d recommend without thinking twice and no-brain rebuy if destroyed or stolen.

It was my first choice, but don't know if I'm able to pull it up... Too many projects and too little time. 😢

Got a mac mini for the living room so I could play near the fireplace and discovered that setting up Rocksmith in Mac with a TV through HDMI is ... challenging 🤣

Also tried to make my first CDLC and am learning a lot... and staying up late through the dawn 🤦‍♂️

I have to try and be more focused or I won't finish any of the projects 🤣
