M8, m8, m8, m8!

Stop it! There is no doing wrong in diff ratings!!!! To a point diff ratings are always some kind of subjective and more importantly NOT VERY IMPORTANT FOR THE COMPETITION!!!!!! because it´s absolutely ok to get harder or easier songs from time to time - and it´s the same for everyone!

YOU ARE DOING GREAT AND WE WON´T LET YOU BAIL!!! Thx for your work. All is great.

Discussions about diff ratings are never a personal offence but help to optimize the CS and CF world for everyone. Comments are a bit harsh from time to time - but most here are not native english speaking - that explains most of it. However we shall avoid using terms like WRONG or FALSE cause.... it´s offensive and truely speaking a rating +-1 is not wrong.

THANKS TO ANYONE PUTTING SONGS INTO SSL and furthermore THANKS TO ANYONE RATING PATHs IN SSL - you keep the CS going!!!!

To improve the situation. There is something that has to be done for long time. C´mon let´s get it on and create a Compendium about the most possible objective diff rating criteria - you´ll see it´s straight forward - i´ll start a thread about that (update: did that) and please everyone, esp. @ Mikson  who is a prof. rater by now add your thoughts and add corrections with comments.

I am in contact and nagging to implement diff ratings into Ignition for quite some time. I wont stop. That will help.

Rod.

Thank you @ Rodman , and also thank you @ cacahuate51  and @ AndreCardoso  for your support. Sorry if I overreacted!! I did read @ Mikson  post when I was in a very bad mood... I should reset and recover my enthusiasm, since been here is always a space to be excited and having fun playing music!

Thank you @ Rodman  for creating a new thread. I will check it!!!!

And yes, I think would be a GREAT SERVICE to the CS community if we can implement diff ratings in Ignition!!!

I'm sorry that you perceived my post as an attack on you and your ratings. I just wanted to express surprise that you rated this chart so high, because you are a good bass player and so far, from what I remember, you rated bass paths correctly. The fact that this was your first song suggestion for the championship and you used a different rating scale explains the situation. 👍

OK, apology accepted, no worries...

I am of course open to discuss and change ratings anytime, in order to have a vibrant Championship when everyone is excited to have a new challenge every week... But the discussion should always be about how to rate a given song, not about WHO rated the song. I think after the song is tested and if it is already in the current week, how was rated in the past is very irrelevant... I agree with @ cacahuate51  that no one should feel "accountable for" rating a song; we want to encourage people to add tentative ratings when adding a songs to the SSL, since that is way better than not having any rating at all... (for beginners: a song with no ratings at all, may be condemned to oblivion) So, I think it is not good practice to criticize in retrospect how a song was rated before, nor making it a competition about who rates the songs better... I have changed ratings when hosting weeks, and after a while, when pointing it out now I try not to mention WHO rated it before, in order to  avoid making it sound like a direct criticism to someone.  It is the role of testers and hosts to adjust the diff ratings -which are ultimately subjective- and if people added ratings when adding songs to the SSL, they already did a good job, which I don't think should be a subject of scrutiny... Anyway, I hope I explained myself.

Thx. It´s great here, except for the food - it´s millions of pizzas and hard to find something else 😄

Austria. Yes! But why in hell Innsbruck 🙂

Come to think of it, for the two weeks in Corsica we had pizza with egg  every weekday and the more festive (and expensive) pizza with octopus every weekend.  But on a student budget, that was still a lot better than the fast food we were eating in the big cities.

I was a pretty serious skier before I wore out my knees and lower back, and I still enjoy visiting legendary ski destinations such as Innsbruck.

Yes, Rodman knows - ..... and they didn´t - didn´t know they are doing CDLCs. But they asked me once to do a CDLC for them, which i did ... well i shall be asking them right now if they ain´t joining the Champs, yay.

Rod.

Very cool! which cdlc did you make for them /m/?  and my bad i meant they play cdlc and upload it as content.. i guess do would imply they made the cdlcs..im only guessing that because im pretty sure headbanger by baby metal was cdlc.

No idea what their user name would be...@ audrey123talks  seems to be an account that hasnt been used since 2014 so i guess they have another one.

Hi,

Some improvement. I can't even "walk" in advanced lead Metallica with a clean sound: that riff still is very hard to me to play. This week, only adv rithm.

Nicely done @ pedropmf , but again I called it.  You guys rock and it is great to have everyone here pushing each other for progression.
