Static x:
This is the second time I've selected static x yet I never listen to them 😅 maybe one day I will. The pads kinda reminded me of silent hill (horror videogame soundtrack) and apparently "Stem" is a track from that debut album, noted for its sample from the horror film Begotten, showcasing their style that defined the late '90s nu-metal scene. Never watched begotten but still found that interesting. Simple riff tempted to rate it a 1 but I havent seen a 1 in years and didnt cause its not all single notes.

Busted year 3000

Since the other version of year 3000 recently got uploaded I thought it was a decent time to headline both songs. I personally grew up with the jonas brothers version, but let me know which one you are familiar with (if any at all). While playing the jonas brothers version I kinda realized its basically the chord progression to first date by blink 182 just one step lower so maybe thats why I like the song.

Never heard of the band but it had a flame on ignition so i listened to it , sounded like fun, downloaded it , tested it and now its here. Reminds me of superstition by stevie wonder .

T-Square - Explorer
Probably the main one I'd actually listen to. It was a song I just randomly found looking at scrams catalogue. Do miss the creator of the psarc, really enjoyed his music taste and was the main reason I checked ignition daily. It's way out of my bass playing skills lol.


Anyways hope you guys enjoy atleast one, i know its not really a themed week but the cdlc seemed decent to me quality wise.

Same thing happened to me with the videos, what I did to fix was:
Step 1 - Select the link then Ctrl + X to cut

Step 2 - Ctrl + Shift + V to paste the link without formatting

Step 3 - Pray that it works, wonder why it doesn't sometimes, cry, try again

Speaking of Jonas Brothers, this one goes out to all of us bull💩ing our way through those songs we can't play on Rocksmith:

yea i remember that video got pretty big 😅 and stevie T also made fun of him.
but tbh, surprised it wasnt just playback as i feel most pop bands do just mime. So in some aspects i respect that, unless he thought the show was gonna be mimed and realized it wasnt xD

Starting with lead scores

It's interesting that the same song was recorded by 2 different bands over the course of several years, and it sounds very similar, but I assume the later one is a cover.

A good band from the 70-80s. I only really recognize a few of their songs, especially Fall of the Peacemakers, as it often appeared on my Spotify playlists. I didn't know this song, but it's also good, though difficult. 7-7.5.

Hello everyone, I have thought about entering this “contest”. This is the first time I’m writing anything in this forum so I don’t know if this is the right place for my questions. There are a few questions I have had because I didn’t understand some of the rules.

When you’re new to this championship, should you write here what class you want to be in? I think I belong in beginner class if that’s the case. Looking through the rules, I didn’t understand this “members” choosing songs, is there only one person responsible for choosing songs for the week? Also, I saw in that forum post about the rules for the championship, it ends at 7pm central European time. Is that still the case?

Just add scores no reason too worry too much about what class you are In It will soon be decided ,
Anyone can add songs to the song list that songs are chosen from for the week by that weeks organizer

You should start in beginner class, but can be promoted if the song is difficult enough and your score above 99.5% (or are clearly above the initial level and can master the other levels)

The hardest part when beginning is submitting the screenshots 😅 It should contain the Streak and accuracy to be counted for the championship.

The championship runs weekly and usually ends on saturday 7PM (or when the new championship week begins 😁)

To add a little bit of info to both @Daz40 and @ALSRC comments:

You can post as many scores as you wish and from whatever class but you can only win in one class (beg, in, adv, master) per path (bass, lead,rhythm).

You mentioned you wanted beginner so I have now placed you in that class all paths (congrats!!) , however feel free to test out songs in other classes. You might find them to be easier than expected, and if you want, ill switch you to that class as its your first time here/ because you havent posted any scores yet.

As for the song selection. There are several "hosts" in the team and each week one host decides what song is selected to be played for that week. They can use the songs placed here which are songs that were submitted by participants/users. You can also see the songs on spotify over here its updated every saturday:

why is there a 2025+ list? Because those are the most recent cdlc made. So most likely active participants suggested it and hopefully follow @Emmy-Dell 's 2025 charting standards.

I did re read the rules because your comment made me curious of what it said/ i havent read it in years. I did notice i havent really been selecting songs completley that way.

I personally check the most recent ones and test as much as I can out sometimes by doing that it gives me an idea/ a theme for a week:, for example:

I tested out thomas the train and pink panther that were both suggestions on the list and that lead me down a rabbit hole to do tv theeme song week.

I didnt include the first two songs that week, even though i love the songs. because i felt the quality of the cdlc wasnt as good/ was hoping they would get an update/ it was a stacked week and might do a pt 2 eventually. By quality I refer to this post I made . (Unfortunatley i cant pin posts so it gets hidden and its also why the weeks i make usually arent up as the main post, no idea who controls that though)

I do like the idea of rule 11- selecting songs based only on active participants randomly. It's just a matter of having active participants submit more and ideally follow emmys guidelines.

I also like the idea of rule 17 and 18 rejecting/ replacing a selected song by sunday although i havent seen that happen really?

And TIL that rule 19 is where the 7pm CET for closing week/setting a new one was at @drand 😅. I knew a time was set somewhere just didnt know what time it was or who had mentioned it. Admittidly I haven't been doing that but I guess itd be good to follow it. What I've done in the past is let people know ahead of time when I will be posting the new week.

Believe it or not.... it´s the annual leaderboard ... world champions we have!!!

What a year - many contestant, vets and quite some new ones there. Even competition in all three categories what is damn cool.

Let´s hear some loud screaming for our champs, i won´t name ´em all - just have a look at some highlights there
@cacahuate51 winning MC Rhy by 1 (one) point over @Mikson who took the last 2 wins at yearchange and had a very very strong year overall (i must admit ;) ) - tough!!!
